Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for facilitating the changeover movement of movable rails or rail parts, in particular tongue rails, in which the rails are supported during the changeover process via rollers which are resiliently pressed against the lower edge of the rail foot.
  • Devices of the type mentioned are said to facilitate the changeover movement of a rail or of rail parts in that the sliding friction is replaced by a rolling friction.
  • a resilient roller is provided, which comes into effect in the area of the upper edge of the sliding chair.
  • the movable rail part or the movable rail should obviously be lifted so far from the sliding chair by the force of the spring that the movable rail part or the movable rail is moved exclusively over the roller, the roller being rotated about its axis.
  • Such rollers are thus only effective during the adjustment movement and must be so flexible when driving on the movable rail parts and, in the known case, pivotable against the force of a spring that they come into effect.
  • a resilient support of the roller is dispensed with.
  • a design of a sliding chair in which a roller is arranged next to the sliding chair in such a way that when the movable rail part or a movable rail is adjusted by running the movable rail part onto a roller, the movable rail is first raised or the rail part takes place, the arrangement must be such that at the respective end of the displacement path of the rail or the rail part, in turn, have completely run off the roller onto the sliding chair and rest on the sliding chair.
  • a further known device can be found in EP-A-495 160.
  • a plurality of rollers is provided here, two rollers being mounted on a pivotable two-armed lever.
  • the design according to the invention essentially consists in that the rollers are pressed in at least one end position of the changeover movement under the action of a spring against a side edge of the movable rail part or rail foot. Characterized in that the rollers are resiliently pressed against a side edge of the rail foot in at least one end position of the changeover movement, a resilient locking is effected in this end position, since a force component corresponding to the spring force in the locking direction of the rail or of the rail part on the outside of the web Effect.
  • the training hiebei is advantageously made such that separate roles for each side edge of the rail foot are arranged.
  • both end positions of a movable rail or a movable rail part are elastically supported in a locking position and a rolling support is brought about during the changeover movement with each movement from such a locking position.
  • the design is advantageously made such that the rollers are pivoted about a pivot axis in a height direction which is at least a third, preferably half the height of the Rail foot corresponds to the same on the side edge.
  • a particularly simple and advantageous construction can be created in that the rollers for different side edges of the rail foot are pivotally mounted about a common pivot axis. With such a common pivot axis, a progressive locking is achieved when driving on the rails, since in these cases the vertical force acting on the other roller is brought into effect as an additional pivoting force in the respective supporting roller and the contact pressure on the outside of the rail foot elevated.
  • a particularly simple construction that can be realized without requiring a large amount of space is essentially characterized in that the springs are formed by helical springs arranged concentrically with the pivot axis of the rollers, the free ends of which are connected to the axes of the rollers and interact with stops for limiting the pivoting path.
  • Such an arrangement of the rollers with concentrically arranged coil springs also requires only a single coil spring, at the free ends of which the rollers can be pivoted parallel to the axis of the coil springs, thus creating a unit that is small in size and easy to retrofit afterwards.
  • the design is advantageously made such that the spring elements and rollers are arranged in or on a carrier, which is adjustably connected transversely to the longitudinal direction of the rail with a claw encompassing the rail foot of an immovable rail, a simple adjustment being possible in particular when the claw encompassing the rail base is connected to the carrier via a spindle drive.
  • the changeover aid according to the invention When the changeover aid according to the invention is correctly designed, the movable rail, in particular the tongue rail, is lifted from the slide plate by the prestressed spring during the changeover process, as a result of which the resistance to movement is substantially reduced.
  • the changeover process is supported by the stored spring force of the rollers resting on one side, which in this way are resiliently secured in their end position.
  • the design according to the invention enables existing switches to be easily retrofitted, the changeover aid not being linked to any particular geometric conditions. It can be used, for example, in connection with known sliding chairs without any special adaptation work.
  • the changeover aid due to the flexible attachability of the changeover aid according to the invention, a more precise guidance of the movable rail parts can also be realized where these are not forced into a correct position by locking or actuating elements.
  • the spring loaded Rolling device can also be fixed to sleepers, which results in a particularly stable support.
  • FIG. 1 shows a side view of a device according to the invention for facilitating the changeover movement of movable rails or rail parts; 2 shows a plan view in the direction of arrow II in FIG. 1, the rails not being shown for the sake of clarity, and FIG. 1 showing a view in the direction of arrow I in FIG. 2; 3 shows a side view of a modified embodiment in a representation analogous to FIG. 1; 4 shows a plan view in the direction of arrow IV in FIG. 3, FIG. 3 shows a view in the direction of arrow III in FIG. 4; 5 shows an enlarged embodiment in a view similar to FIGS. 1 and 3; and FIG. 6 shows a view in the direction of arrow VI in FIG. 5, the rails again not being shown for the sake of clarity, and FIG. 5 shows a side view in the direction of arrow V in FIG.
  • 1, 1 denotes an immovable or rigid rail, for example a stock rail, which is fixed on a base plate 2 by means of a screw connection 3.
  • the base plate or slide plate 2 itself is in turn fixed by a screw 4 on a schematically illustrated threshold 5.
  • a sliding chair 6 On the base plate 2, a sliding chair 6 is fixed, on which a movable rail, for example a tongue rail, 7 rests.
  • the tongue rail 7 is shown with solid lines in FIG. 1 in a position distant from the rigidly fixed rail 1, while it is shown in dash-dot lines and with 7 ′ in a position almost in contact with the stock rail 1 in a position distant from the tip of the tongue rail.
  • a device for facilitating the changeover movement of the movable rail between the positions designated 7 and 7 ' is arranged, with a support 8 around a Swivel axis 9 resiliently mounted rollers 10 are provided.
  • the resiliently mounted rollers 10 are mounted on the free arms 11 of a helical spring 12, wherein in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, two rollers 10 are in each case directly adjacent to one another and are provided with parallel axes 13.
  • a pair of rollers lies against a side edge or outer edge 14 of the rail base of the movable rail 7, while the other pair of rollers is held in a depressed position by the rail base, as shown in FIG. 1 is shown with full lines for the right pair of rollers 10.
  • the movable rail 7 is slightly raised from the surface of the sliding chair 6 after the rollers shown in FIG , so that the movable rail 7 is supported during its adjustment movement via the rotatably mounted rollers 10.
  • the movable rail When driving on the rails, the movable rail thus lies directly on the surface of the sliding chair 6, while a slight lifting of the rails occurs during a changeover movement takes place and in the end positions by the abutment of the rollers or rollers 10 on each side edge 14 or 15 of the rail foot of the movable rail 7, the end position is supported and secured.
  • the rollers or rollers 10 can be pivoted in the height direction by a path which corresponds to at least one third of the height of the side edge 14 or 15 of the rail foot.
  • the pivoting movement of the free arms of the coil springs carrying the rollers or rollers 10 in the vertical direction is thereby limited by schematically indicated stops 16.
  • the rail foot can be rounded or beveled in the region of the transition into the side edges 14 or 15 in order to facilitate the pressing down of the rollers 10 at the start of a changeover process and to support the assumption of the end position.
  • the device By arranging the device to facilitate the changeover movement of movable rails or rail parts on a threshold directly adjacent to the slide plate, it is also possible to easily retrofit existing systems, since no adaptation work has to be carried out on the components already in use and only the position of the Rollers 10 must be matched to the respective end position of the movable rail.
  • the fact that the rollers are mounted on the free ends of a common coil spring 12 results in a support of the movement via the spring preload of the respective free arms.
  • FIG. 3 and 4 the reference numerals of Figures 1 and 2 have been retained for the same components.
  • a sliding plate 2 is in turn fixed on a threshold 5, a sliding chair 6 for a movable rail 7 being arranged on this sliding plate 2.
  • a helical spring 17 is provided, which in turn carries a pair of rollers or rollers 10 at each free end.
  • the devices for facilitating the changeover movement of movable rails or rail parts are arranged on both sides of the sliding chair 6 such that one of the devices formed by the cooperation of a spring 17 and the rollers 10 secures an end position of the movable rail 7 and 7 '.
  • the adjustment and adjustment options can be further simplified since the positioning of the rolling device or changeover aid can be carried out with a positionally variable fastening of a uniform device on the threshold corresponding to the displacement path of the movable rail, for example tongue rail, 7.
  • a positionally variable fastening of a uniform device on the threshold corresponding to the displacement path of the movable rail for example tongue rail, 7.
  • leaf springs can also be used, for example.
  • the device for facilitating the changeover movement is not fixed on a threshold or a base plate, but rather a carrier 18 with a claw encompassing the rail foot 19 of the immovable rail or stock rail 1 20 is connected.
  • the carrier 18 in turn carries, for example, a coil spring 21 which carries rotatable rollers 10 at its free ends.
  • a movable rail or tongue rail is again secured via the right roller shown in the drawing.
  • This right-hand roller, dashed and designated 10 ' is shown in FIG. 5 in a position in which the rail is in the second end position.
  • Such an arrangement of a claw 20 encompassing the immovable rail, which is connected to the carrier 18 for the changeover aid, can also provide a corresponding securing of the movable rail and a corresponding changeover aid in areas in which no sleepers are provided.
  • a spindle drive can be arranged between the claw 20 and the carrier 18, as indicated schematically by 22.
