Definitions

  • the invention relates to an applicator with a shaft-shaped handle part, in the central cavity axially movably a threaded spindle and an axially immovable nut element is provided, through which the threaded spindle is screwed, with a front housing part which is connected to the nut element in a rotationally fixed manner and with respect to which the Handle part is rotatable, with a lead from a spreadable mass, which is provided in the handle part and can be moved out of the front housing part with the aid of the threaded spindle.
  • Such an applicator is known from DE 37 28 427 C1 of the applicant.
  • a sliding element is provided at the front end of the threaded spindle for moving the lead out of the front part of the housing has a piston and a piston sleeve surrounding the piston, the piston being connected to the front end of the threaded spindle.
  • this applicator can be optionally combined with housing front parts that are provided with extruded or cast leads. There it is probably possible to move the lead out of the front part of the housing, but a return movement of the lead is not possible.
  • DE 38 35 680 A1 discloses a method for producing a lead, in particular for cosmetic pencils and the like, a lead for a cosmetic pencil and a cosmetic pencil with such a lead.
  • the procedure according to the method is such that the lead is cast in a horizontally arranged mold which is open at least along part of its outer surface.
  • a plunger which can be moved in the axial direction in the mold recess of the corresponding plastic molded parts can be inserted. Due to the possible positive connection between the mine and the plunger mentioned when casting the lead, a lead is produced which can be pushed back and forth with the plunger in the axial direction. With this known cosmetic stick, it is consequently also possible to retract the lead into the cosmetic stick.
  • the mine is always connected to the tappet to form a unit, which represents a not inconsiderable material requirement.
  • a not inconsiderable manufacturing outlay also arises from the fact that an external thread section is formed on the rear end section of the plunger, and that the shaft-shaped grip part is designed with an internal thread along its entire axial extent, the plunger with the external thread section being joined together with the form-fitting connection with it Mine only for Disposable is suitable and therefore represents waste after the mine has been used up.
  • an applicator with a lead that can be moved out of a sleeve-like housing by means of a push rod of a spindle drive is known, the lead being fixable on a holding part that is longitudinally guided in the housing, the push rod rests on a holding part, and a coil spring is on the one hand supported inside the housing and on the other hand on the holding part in order to press it against the push rod.
  • the mine can be moved out of and into the housing.
  • the housing part containing the lead is removed from the housing part containing the spindle drive, the lead is automatically withdrawn and thus protected against damage.
  • a refill pencil in particular a cosmetic pencil, is known from DE 38 35 679 C2, which comprises a lead which is axially displaceable in a grip sleeve with a lead exit opening under the action of a plunger engaging on the back of the lead, the plunger having a shaft sleeve which can be screwed against the grip sleeve is connected in the axial direction of movement.
  • the lead is arranged in a substantially tubular plastic part enclosing it, the plastic part being axially fixed relative to the grip sleeve in the direction of the lead outlet opening of the grip sleeve and the plunger engaging in the plastic part such that it moves axially in the direction of the Mine outlet opening of the grip sleeve pushes the lead out of the plastic molded part, the lead being guided over its entire length in the plastic molded part.
  • the plunger is axially connected to the plastic molding such that the grip sleeve can be axially displaced relative to the plastic molded part with the lead contained therein in the direction away from the lead outlet opening of the grip sleeve, the frictional force on the inner wall of the plastic molded part being too small when the plunger moves axially in the direction of the lead exit opening than in the opposite direction.
  • This refill pencil is intended for single use.
  • An application device or a distributor for a solid or paste-like product to be applied which is contained in a container and which is delivered by a drive device, is known from EP 0 382 591 A1.
  • the said container is a tube, the interior of which is cylindrical and has any cross section, the tube having a distributor opening and the product being contained in the tube between the distributor opening and an axially displaceable piston.
  • the piston is displaced by means of the drive device, which has a pin, at the head end of which the piston is provided.
  • the edges of the distributor mouth are at least partially covered with a layer which serves to apply the product and which is made of an air-permeable material. The layer is arranged so that it overlaps the edges of the distributor mouth.
  • a similar distributor for a product, which is contained in a cylindrical container of any cross-section, in which the product is contained between the distributor mouth and a piston which is displaceably movable in the container, is known from EP 0 382 590 A1.
  • the piston is attached to the head end of a pin, which can be shifted gradually by means of an adjustment mechanism is which is movable by the action on a displaceable actuating element such that the displacement of the piston and the distribution of the product can be controlled as desired.
  • the mechanism has, at a first location, a part which is fixed with respect to the container and a part which is movable with respect to the container, the fixed and the movable part being separated from one another by an elastic zone.
  • the actuating element is connected to the movable part of said mechanism in a non-displaceable manner and is subjected to the restoring action of the elastic zone in order to be returned to the rest position after the action of a user.
  • the pin is rotationally fixed with respect to an element and the pin has a tooth system for driving it in the direction of displacement, which system interacts with the mechanism via locking means.
  • the invention has for its object to provide an applicator of the type mentioned that can be easily and time-saving, if necessary, equipped with a new mine from a spreadable mass, mines of different mine textures can be used, and also a reset movement of the Mine made of cast material allowed.
  • the lead is provided in a lead pipe which is axially movable to a limited extent with respect to the front part of the housing, and that a first spring element is provided between the lead pipe and the front part of the housing
  • the lead pipe in which the lead material is poured, is axially movable with respect to the front part of the housing, it is possible within the scope of this limitation of the axial mobility of the lead pipe and consequently of the lead that the lead is inadvertently moved too far out of the front part to move the lead pipe back into the front part.
  • the first spring element between the lead pipe and the housing front part serves as the drive element. Due to the design of the front part with the coupling section and the nut element with the plug-in section, it is possible without any problems between the front part and the nut element in the assembled state of the said structural parts, ie in the assembled state of the applicator, to establish a positive, twist-proof connection.
  • the coupling section provided on the front part and the plug-in section of the nut element have cross-sectional profiles that are adapted to one another in terms of shape, deviate from the circular shape, and conical longitudinal profiles that are adapted to one another in terms of shape, not only an anti-rotation lock is achieved between the front part and the nut element of the application device, but at the same time the advantage of self-centering between the nut element and the front part and thus centering of the threaded spindle into the front part of the applicator or into the lead pipe located in the front part.
  • the nut element with radially elastically resilient threaded claws, which engage in the assembled state of the application device by means of the coupling section of the front part in the threaded spindle, which in the exchange state of the application device, in which the front part is removed from the handle part, due to their radially effective elastic suspension spring back mechanical relaxation and disengaged from the threaded spindle, it is possible with the aid of the second spring element that the threaded spindle, which is no longer held by the nut element, is automatically moved back into the shaft-shaped grip part.
  • the application device thus allows a problem-free, time-saving replacement of a used mine, i.e. a mine pipe whose mine has been used, by a new mine provided in a mine pipe, the new mine forming a replacement unit or cartridge with the mine pipe, which in Housing front part of the applicator is arranged together with the first spring element, after which the housing front part equipped in this way can be plugged together with the shaft-shaped handle part.
  • the coupling section of the rear end section of the front part is positively connected to the plug section provided on the nut element in such a way that the nut element engages with its radially elastically resilient threaded claws in the threaded spindle.
  • the applicator is then again available with a corresponding new lead made of cast material.
  • the front part of the housing for limiting the mobility of the lead pipe has a first stop on the inside and if the lead pipe is designed with a second stop.
  • the first spring element is expediently provided between a third and a fourth stop in the interior of the housing front part, surrounding the lead tube.
  • the third attack in the The front housing part is provided in such a way that the first spring element can easily be accommodated between the lead pipe and the inner wall of the front housing part, so that it is easily possible to accommodate a lead pipe with a cast-in lead and the first spring element in the front housing part.
  • the first spring element can have at least one guide section of larger diameter between its two ends abutting the third and fourth stop. This reliably prevents possible canting or jamming of individual turns of the first spring element, which is preferably a helical compression spring, so that the first spring element can be mechanically tensioned at any time or reset from a corresponding mechanically tensioned state to a mechanically relaxed state.
  • the lead pipe is expediently sealed off at its rear end section by means of a closing body which is provided in the interior of the lead pipe.
  • This closure body is preferably a ball made of a relatively soft material. With the help of the closing body, it is possible to close the mine tube in such a way that e.g. Waterproof textures can be cast.
  • the closure body preferably in the form of a ball, serves to keep the threaded spindle clean, which is an essential requirement from the point of view of the interchangeability of the lead of the application device according to the invention.
  • the lead pipe is preferably sealed on the front side by means of an end cap in order to cover mine textures to be able to use volatile solvents without any problems.
  • a compensating part is expediently provided at the front end of the threaded spindle.
  • This compensating part can be designed in the manner of a piston which is formed symmetrically with a recess in each of its two opposite end sections.
  • One of the two recesses is preferably used to clasp a head part of the threaded spindle, while the opposite second end section of the compensating part in the form of a piston comes into close contact with the above-mentioned closing body of the lead pipe.
  • the first spring element is expediently provided between the front part and the lead tube in such a way that the lead tube protrudes from the rear of the front part with a rear portion when the front part is removed from the handle part and the first spring element is thereby mechanically relaxed.
  • the portion of the lead pipe protruding from the rear of the front part can be easily gripped, so that it is easily possible to pull the lead pipe out of the front part of the applicator to the rear, in order to subsequently accommodate a new cartridge, ie lead with lead pipe. In this way, there is consequently good manageability of the applicator with regard to the replacement of a used mine with an unused new mine.
  • the second spring element is provided between a rear bearing section of the threaded spindle and a front bearing section of the handle part, surrounding the threaded spindle, such that the compensating part provided at the front end of the threaded spindle protrudes from the handle part when the front part is removed from the handle part and the second spring element is thereby mechanically relaxed.
  • the applicator according to the invention is expediently completed by the fact that a protective cap covering this and the lead can be plugged or fitted onto the front part.
  • the shaft-shaped grip part is expediently designed with a corresponding push-on section.
  • the method of operation of the application device according to the invention is as follows:
  • the threaded claws of the nut element spring radially, so that the threaded claws disengage from the threaded spindle.
  • the second spring element in the interior of the shaft-shaped handle part can relax mechanically and pulls the threaded spindle back into the shaft-shaped handle part into the rear rest position.
  • the threaded spindle is then again in its reset starting position.
  • the first spring element can relax mechanically in the interior of the front part of the application device, as a result of which the lead tube is pushed out of the rear end section of the front part by a certain amount, which can be of the order of 5 mm.
  • both the first and the second spring element are mechanically tensioned, so that it is possible to move a mine which is unwantedly moved too far out of the front part by rotating the shaft-shaped grip part relative to the front part as desired into the front part by shifting the lead tube.
  • the forward movement of the mine takes place in such a way that, when the lead screw is turned accordingly, first the mine tube is moved forward to a first stop on the front side of the front part.
  • a further forward movement of the lead tube is then no longer possible with respect to the front part, that is, after the lead tube has abutted against said first stop, the lead can then be moved further out of the front part with respect to the axially immovable lead tube by corresponding screwing of the threaded spindle .
  • the threaded spindle can be turned forward and the lead mass pushed forward by turning the shaft-shaped handle part. If the threaded spindle is turned in the opposite direction of rotation, ie back again, then the pressure exerted on the lead by the threaded spindle decreases accordingly. The lead tube is pushed back accordingly into the front part by means of the first spring element.
  • the front part is removed from the shaft-shaped handle part. This loosens the threaded claws from the threaded spindle, so that the threaded spindle is no longer held by the nut element.
  • the threaded spindle is returned to its starting position in the shaft-shaped grip part by means of the associated second spring element.
  • the shaft-shaped handle part 12 has a threaded spindle 20 in its central cavity 18.

  • the threaded spindle 20 is provided in the central cavity 18 in a rotationally fixed manner with respect to the shaft-shaped handle part 12.
  • the threaded spindle 20 can perform an axial movement relative to the shaft-shaped handle part 12 through the longitudinal ribs 28.
  • a sealing plug 30 is provided at the rear end portion of the shaft-shaped handle part 12.
  • the front end section 32 of the shaft-shaped grip part 12 has a nut element 34 in the central cavity 18, which is described in more detail below in connection with FIGS. 9 and 10.

Elevations are in the circumferential groove 38 40 into it, which stand inwards from the inner wall 26 of the shaft-shaped handle part 12. In this way, the nut element 34 is arranged axially immovably on the handle part 12, but it can be rotated relative to the handle part 12. In order to enable the nut element 34 to be twisted without tilting in relation to the shaft-shaped handle part 12, the nut element 34 is formed with centering ribs 42 running around in its circumferential direction.
