- Adjustment units 21 and 22 which are acted upon pneumatically, are advantageously arranged under the frame 10 and, in the unloaded state, enable radially inward directed force transmission. - the springs 18 and 19 press the frame 10 with the clamping strips 8 and 9 radially inward into a stable stop position, in which the peripheral rear edge of the pressure plate 5 is inside the cross-sectional contour of the plate cylinder 2 lies. No other tools are required. In particular, no special device for pressing in the rear fold 6 of the pressure plate 5 is required. It is only necessary to ensure that the blanket cylinder 1 reaches the rear edge 6 of the printing plate 5 with its circumference. This can be achieved by a correspondingly narrow channel in the blanket cylinder 1 or, if appropriate, by a temporary rotation of the blanket cylinder 1 relative to the plate cylinder 2 during the actuation of the clamping device, as is shown schematically in FIG.
