Definitions

  • the invention relates to a housing for receiving a fan according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the supply and exhaust air ducts of such pipe systems are equipped with a large cross-section in order not only to increase the air throughput, but also to counteract the noise in the ducts caused by the air currents.
  • a pipe system with a large, flat cross section is known, which is arranged relatively inconspicuously on the underside of an upper cabinet of a kitchen unit.
  • An approximately cuboid housing with an enlarged cross section compared to the cross section of the pipe system is integrated into this pipe system.
  • the remaining height between the suction side of the blower and the bottom wall of the housing forms an extension of the pipe system which is of the same height as the duct height, the extension being delimited approximately at right angles in the air flow direction by a housing wall.
  • the housing of the fan is installed relatively inconspicuously in masonry, but the recess required for this already has a considerable height, since the supply and exhaust air ducts of the housing are arranged offset in height from one another.
  • An inconspicuous installation of such a blower box in an upper cabinet of a kitchen unit would hardly be possible without a sensitive loss of storage space in the upper cabinet, especially not if you want to arrange a second blower in this blower box to increase the air output.
  • Such a housing construction has the advantage that, in addition to a flat design, the supply and exhaust air ducts that can be connected to the housing also create a continuous, flat surface that can be used without complex additional measures, e.g. well suited for mounting on the ceiling boards of wall units in a kitchen unit.
  • a subsequent modification of the air flow rate of the blower can only be achieved with increased effort in this type of housing, since the already existing air ducts have to be adapted to the change in dimensions of the supply air and exhaust air stub resulting from the modification.
  • the invention has for its object to design a housing for a blower so that the entire exhaust system can be well integrated into the existing environment in terms of construction with high functionality.
  • the design according to the invention of a housing for a blower has the advantage that the supply air and exhaust air connections connected to a pipe system are not affected in terms of dimensions when the air delivery capacity of the blower is modified and the change in blower volume usually associated therewith, since the changed blower volume almost changes affects only the box-shaped extension. In this way, the installation height changes, for example over kitchen units, so that the existing supply and exhaust air ducts of the pipe system do not have to be adapted even if the fan's air delivery rate is modified subsequently.
  • prefabricated units consisting of housings which are equipped with blowers of different air delivery capacity can be used. This makes it possible, depending on the requirement, to be able to put together extractor devices with different performance features in a simple manner.
  • such a solution has the advantage that the overall height of the housing is quite low when the box-shaped extension is recessed, and is thus space-saving, e.g. can be attached to standard kitchen wall cabinets.
  • a flow channel formed by the box-shaped housing is particularly aerodynamic and low-noise if, according to a preferred embodiment of the object of the invention, it is provided that the flow channel of the box-shaped housing widens in a diffuser-like manner from the supply air nozzle to the area of the blower, this expansion expanding in the area the confluence to the drain socket is narrowed substantially to its cross section.
  • the blower is designed as a double-sided suction radial blower, the outlet side of which is directed into the exhaust port.
  • a particularly high efficiency and a particularly favorable air flow for a fan in a box-shaped housing is achieved if, according to a preferred embodiment of the object of the invention, it is provided that the air flowing from the supply air nozzle into the diffuser-like extension is divided into two by a flow divider designed similar to a ship's bow Partial air flows is split, the division ratio being essentially 1: 1.
  • a flow part in a housing is particularly expedient if, according to an advantageous embodiment of the object of the invention, it is provided that it has a cavity, the interior of which can accommodate electrical components.
  • the box-shaped housing is formed from a plurality of shell-like individual parts, the shell part, the outer wall of which is essentially one with the outer walls of the supply and exhaust air ducts forms a flat surface, is integrated in the pipe system, while the shell part having the box-shaped extension is detachably connected to the integrated part.
  • the fan is fastened in the shell part integrated in the pipe system, but the major part of its volume protrudes into the box-shaped shell part.
  • blower can be easily replaced or serviced if necessary, but also in that the part integrated in the pipe system can be made particularly flat.
  • an extractor device 10 formed from tubular elements with a flat cross section has a collecting screen 11, which is connected by a tube piece 12 to an approximately T-shaped channel part 13.
  • the T-shaped duct part 13 is equipped on one side with a closed secondary duct, while the other side is provided with a supply air duct 14.
  • a wall box 16 is arranged in an indicated masonry 15, which closes to the outside with a blind-like grille 17.
  • the wall box 15 is connected to an exhaust air duct 18.
  • a box-shaped housing 20 is arranged between the supply air duct 14 and the exhaust air duct 18 and has a radial blower 32 (outlined in dashed lines) of its supply air socket facing the supply air duct 14 21 and its exhaust port 22 directed towards the exhaust air duct 18 are arranged in the same plane and can be connected to the supply or exhaust air duct.
  • the box-shaped housing 20 is integrated into the pipe system in such a way that its outer wall 23 forms an essentially flat, continuous surface 24 with the outer walls of the supply air duct 14 and the exhaust air duct 18, which has a large edge length in cross section, the housing 20 forming in essentially widened in a box shape to the side opposite the flat surface 24 (cf. also FIG. 2).
  • the box-shaped housing 20 is formed from shell-like individual parts, the shell part 25, the outer wall 23 of which forms a flat surface with the outer walls of the supply air duct 14 and the exhaust air duct 18, firmly in the pipe system through the on this shell part 25 molded supply air connector and the exhaust air connector also molded thereon is integrated.
  • the supply air connector 21 and the exhaust connector 22 are arranged in alignment with one another, the side walls 26 of which are connected to one another by walls 27 which form an interior space and which are perpendicular to the outer wall 23.
  • a raised flow divider 28 which is arranged on the inside of the outer wall 23 and is designed like a bow of a ship, and splits the air flowing in from the supply air connection 21 into two partial air flows, the division ratio of which is about 1: 1. (See in particular also Fig. 3).
  • the flow divider 28 has a flute-like extension 31 towards the exhaust air connection 22, which protrudes toward the inside of the outer wall 23 and the contour of which can accommodate a blower 32 designed as a double-sided suction radial blower.
  • reinforcements 33 with bores 34 directly opposite one another are provided in the walls 27, with the aid of which the radial fan 34 on its blow-out side 35 to the exhaust port 22 with releasable, not fully illustrated fasteners 36, such as screws or the like. Is fixed. (cf. also Fig. 2).
  • the box-shaped Form extension having shell part 40.
  • the shell part 40 is fastened in the assembled state with its fastening strips 39 on both sides to the flange parts 38 of the shell part 25 with releasable fastening means 36, such as screws or the like.
  • the shell part 25, together with the shell part 40 assembled to form the box-shaped housing 20, forms a flow channel which extends like a diffuser from the supply air connection 21 to the area of the blower 32, this expansion narrowing substantially in the area of the opening to the exhaust air connection 22 to its cross section, (See also FIGS. 2 and 3).
  • a diffusor-like extension is arranged, in the straight section of the trapezoidal side walls 42 that laterally delimit the box-shaped extension, a cross-section which is approximately semicircular in cross-section, (shown in broken lines), which represents the counterpart to the hollow cone-like extension 31.
  • the semicircular receptacle is arranged at a distance from the trapezoidal side walls 42 in order to leave out an air duct for the fan 32 on the inlet side.
  • the receptacle 43 is dimensioned such that the blower 32, which is fastened in the shell part 25 integrated in the pipe system, can protrude with the majority of its volume into the shell-shaped shell part 40.
  • flow divider 28 can be connected both fixedly to the inside of the outer wall 23 and detachably to the latter.
  • a housing of this type can be produced particularly well in plastic.
