Definitions

  • the invention relates to a hydraulically operated drive unit with a sound insulation device with a movable tool with respect to this, the sound insulation device consists of a housing which encloses the drive unit with the exception of the tool passage opening and with the exception of the lead-through openings for supply lines, the drive unit via guide elements within the Housing is supported in the longitudinal and transverse directions.
  • the drive unit is to be understood as a striking mechanism, a rotating mechanism or a working unit composed of a striking mechanism and rotating mechanism, the associated striking mechanism and rotating mechanism possibly also being able to be operated alone; the tool can also be designed in the area of the drive unit as a tool insertion end, on which differently designed tools are held interchangeably.
  • the document FR-A-2 327 039 describes a striking tool with a soundproofing device which is fastened to the tool shaft outside the fastening and working area.
  • the soundproofing device consists of a multi-shell housing, the space formed between two adjacent shells is filled with a damping material in the manner of a liquid.
  • the known device is therefore intended and suitable for reducing the noise pollution emanating from the striking tool itself.
  • the invention has for its object to develop a hydraulically operated drive unit with a different type of soundproofing device, the effect of which is at least essentially independent of the use of elastic and insulating material in the interior of the housing. If necessary, the soundproofing device should also be such that the surroundings of the tool are shielded from the outside, at least in the vicinity of its exit from the housing.
  • the object is achieved by a drive unit which has the features of claim 1.
  • the basic idea of the invention is that the drive unit encloses the drive unit almost completely in a sandwich construction, i. H. to be multi-layered, and to fill the space between two adjacent shells of the housing with a flowable, incompressible insulation material. What is essential is the formation of the intermediate layer located in the intermediate space from a damping material, the components of which are movable among one another in the manner of a plastically deformable mass, but, like liquids, for example, have no elastic properties.
  • the shells delimiting the intermediate space are only attached to one another in the region of the passage opening, preferably via a deformable connecting element (claim 2).
  • a deformable connecting element (claim 2).
  • This can in particular as a tube section made of elastic material or as a tube section deformable in the manner of a bellows.
  • the guide elements are supported on the inner of the two shells delimiting the space (claim 3); in this case, the housing is essentially composed of an inner shell, the intermediate layer and an outer shell.
  • the housing can also be formed with a larger number of shells: in particular, it is conceivable to design and arrange the two shells delimiting the space in such a way that the inner shell in turn encloses an inner housing on its inside and is held there is; the inner housing can represent the actual supporting structure for the drive unit.
  • the subject of the invention can be improved with regard to the overall achievable sound insulation in that the housing on its front facing the tool is equipped with a tubular extension which encloses the tool at least on part of its longitudinal extent (claim 4).
  • the extension is preferably double-walled at least in the section adjacent to the housing and filled with a flowable, inherently incompressible damping material (claim 5).
  • the shielding effect of the extension against the environment can be enhanced by providing the extension with an elastically deformable sealing sleeve at least in the vicinity of its end section facing away from the housing is. (Claim 6); this can in particular have the form of a funnel, which is held in contact with the material to be processed during operation of the drive unit.
  • the subject of the invention can also be designed such that the end section of the extension facing away from the housing is formed by an exchangeably fastened wear part, which consists of flexible material (claim 7).
  • the drive unit is held in contact with the material to be processed via the tubular extension with the interposition of the wearing part.
  • the damping material between the two relevant shells of the housing and possibly in the tubular extension can consist in particular of sand (claim 8); this should be of a fairly fine grain.
  • the preferred average grain size is between about 0.5 mm and 2 mm.
  • a fluid (claim 9) or a gel (claim 10) can also be used as a damping material.
  • different types of damping materials can be used to form the intermediate layer, which have comparable properties in the context of interest here, for example pastes or fats.
  • the housing can advantageously be designed such that its outside - in particular the outside of the outer shell adjoining the intermediate layer - is provided as far as possible with a sound-absorbing coating.
  • the drive unit shown in FIG. 1 in the form of a hydraulically operated percussion mechanism 1 is equipped with a percussion piston 1 a, the individual impact energy of which is brought to bear on the material 3 to be broken using a tool in the form of a chisel 2 with the chisel tip 2a.
  • the striking mechanism 1 together with the striking piston 1a is completely enclosed by a housing 4 which, apart from lead-through openings for any supply lines, such as the energy supply line 1b for the striking mechanism 1, has only one passage opening 4a for the chisel 2.
  • the pressure force to be exerted during the use of the striking mechanism 1 is transmitted by means of a console 5, which is attached via articulated arms 6, 7 to a carrier unit (not shown), for example an excavator boom.
  • the housing 4 is designed in a sandwich construction, ie it has (in the simplest embodiment shown) an outer shell 8 and an inner shell 9, which - apart from the vicinity of the passage opening 4a - are separated from one another by an intermediate layer 10 and kept at a distance.
  • the intermediate layer 10 consists of fine-grained sand with an average grain size of 1 mm:
  • the shielding of the interior 4b of the housing from the outside environment is therefore primarily caused by a flowable, inherently incompressible damping material.
  • the two shells 8 and 9 delimiting the intermediate layer 10 are only attached to one another at the passage opening 4a via a connecting element in the form of a tube section 11.
  • the striking mechanism 1 is supported within the housing 4 on its inner shell 9 via guide elements 12 and 13 or 14 and 15, which are each effective at least predominantly in the longitudinal direction (guide elements 12, 13) or in the transverse direction (guide elements 14, 15) of the striking mechanism are, that is, the forces and / or moments acting between the latter and the housing 4 are transmitted.
  • the guide elements consist of block-like components, for example made of plastic, which are attached to at least one of the two opposing components - the striking mechanism 1 or the inner shell 9.
  • the housing 4 On its front side 4c facing the tool 2, the housing 4 is equipped with an extension designed as a tubular section 16, which encloses the tool 2 outside the outer shell 8 over part of its longitudinal extent.
  • an elastically deformable sealing sleeve 17 On the end section 16a of the pipe section facing away from the housing 4, an elastically deformable sealing sleeve 17 is fastened, which is funnel-shaped and under the action of the pressing force acting on the housing on the surface of the material 3 to be broken is kept in contact.
  • the interior 16b of the pipe section has a feed bore 16c with an external connection 18; Compressed air can be supplied via this for the purpose of keeping the chisel and the chisel tip 2a clean by means of a compressed air source, not shown, with the result that an air flow emerging at the sealing collar 17 is generated.
  • the pipe section 16 and the sealing sleeve 17 also dampen the noise occurring in the area of the passage opening 4a and the impact point 3a of the chisel 2.
  • the inner and outer shells 9 and 8 are fastened to one another in the area of the passage opening 4a via a pipe section 11 made of hard rubber.
  • the pipe section 16 attached to the front side 4c of the housing 4 has - following the sandwich construction of the housing 4 - a double-walled section 16d following the outer shell 8, which is also filled with fine-grained sand 19.
  • the end section 16a facing away from the housing merges into a bush-shaped wear part 20 made of plastic, which is pushed onto the pipe section 16.
  • the housing 4 (cf. FIG. 1) can be held in contact with the material 3 to be broken during wear of the striking mechanism 1 during operation of the striking mechanism 1, as a result of which the noise pollution from the striking mechanism 1 and the chisel 2 is reduced.
  • the subject matter of the invention can also be equipped with differently designed damping materials. It is essential that the damping materials are inherently incompressible are trained and composed of mutually movable components.
  • the housing can also be equipped with a larger number of shells; in particular, it is possible to support the inner and outer formwork together with the intermediate layer on an inner housing, which then constitutes the actual supporting component of the housing. If necessary, an improved sound insulation can be achieved in that the outer shell (if possible) is completely provided with a sound-insulating coating on its outside.
  • the advantage achieved with the invention is, in particular, that adequate sound insulation can be achieved without resorting to elastic and sound-insulating materials which are arranged in the interior of the housing.
