Furthermore, measures are taken here in the return line leading from the fuel filter to the fuel tank which prevent displaced air from reaching the filter and the supply line when refueling an empty fuel tank and ultimately lead to malfunctions of the internal combustion engine.
- a fuel supply system with a fuel metering device which is designed as a carburetor and is connected via a discharge channel to a storage chamber, which is also a float chamber and a float with opposing valves has one of which closes a line opening into the supply line in the case of air intake.
- the invention has for its object to provide simple measures on this generic fuel supply system, which ensures that on the one hand no air is sucked in by the fuel feed pump and that on the other hand when filling a fuel-free container an almost immediate start of the internal combustion engine is possible.
