Definitions
- the above invention relates to a device for preparing the landing track of a ski jump.
- ski jumping facilities end in a landing strip that has a certain cross-sectional profile and enables the athlete to land again after the flight. It is known to the person skilled in the art that the landing strip has a very steep center piece in order to reduce the impact during the landing process to a minimum.
- the landing track must have a snow jacket that is free of any entry. For this reason, work teams are still used today, which, using hand tools such as shovels and rakes, make the landing track as easy as possible prepare very well. If one takes into account that numerous athletes who take part in several jumps take part in a sporting competition, it is easy to understand that the landing track is subject to considerable wear and tear during the competition, wear that can still only be temporarily remedied during the breaks in the competition; this is due to the considerable dimensions of the jump track of a ski jump and the equipment used so far.
- the object of the above invention is to propose means with which it is possible, using motorized devices, to prepare the landing track of a ski jumping hill and to enable the snow jacket of the landing track to be repaired in a very short time, even during the breaks in the competition.
- This object is achieved according to the invention in that near the jump table of the jump there are spaced guide and deflection rollers which receive a rope, the ends of which are arranged along the jump track and these ends can be connected to two snow vehicles.
- the rope In order to avoid that the jump track of the ski jump is damaged by the loaded rope pieces, the rope is equipped with float-like support bodies or gliders that can be freely moved on the jump track.
- a take-off track 2 which has a profile which partly consists of very steep sections. These sections are not easily accessible by a snow vehicle.
- the landing strip 2 is often also covered with a thin plastic covering in order to enable the jumping competition to be carried out even when there is insufficient snow covering.
- guide and deflection rollers 3 and 4 are provided in the immediate vicinity of the ski jumping table, which are arranged at a distance. These rollers 3, 4 serve as a guide for a rope 5, the ends 5a, 5b lie on the landing strip.
- Two snow vehicles 6 and 7 can be connected to the ends 5a and 5b of the rope 5.
- the rope pieces 5a and 5b are also equipped with float-like sliding bodies, which are identified overall by 8, and are described in more detail below.
- each snow vehicle is equipped in a known manner with a front shield and a milling shaft on the back.
- the drive caterpillars of each vehicle 6, 7 are advantageously designed to be particularly soft in order to avoid damage to the ground of the jump track 2 of the jump.
- Caterpillars of this type have e.g. B. a V-shaped profile and have been used by the applicant for years. These caterpillars have proven particularly advantageous for light vehicles that have to work on particularly sensitive ground.
- Each piece of rope 5a, 5b is equipped with a series of float-like sliding bodies 8.
- the bodies 8 have the task of sliding on the floor of the landing strip 2 and are intended to prevent the rope pieces 5a and 5b, which are heavily loaded by the snow vehicle 6, 7, from damaging the underbody of the landing strip 2.
- the body-like bodies 8 are arranged displaceably on the rope pieces 5a and 5b, as will be described in more detail. Due to the displaceable arrangement of the float bodies 8, an automatic distance adjustment between the float-like bodies 8 is achieved as soon as a snow vehicle (e.g. the vehicle 7) approaches the end of the landing track 2 (valley side). When the snow vehicle 6 approaches the hill table 1 (mountain side), the float bodies 8 must have the possibility of eliminating the free spaces formed between the bodies 8 in such a way that the float bodies 8 come into contact with one another.
- the Float body 8 has a rounded shape, this to ensure good sliding properties of the body 8 on the underbody of the landing track 2.
- the inlet and outlet openings 9, 10 of the float-like body 8 are advantageously equipped with rollers 11 and 12, which are arranged parallel to each other and represent a safe guide for the rope pieces 5a, 5b.
- the rollers 11 and 12 are advantageously mounted in L-shaped sheet metal brackets 13 and 14, one arm of the L-shaped component for the assembly of the components 13 , 14 on the Sohwimmerkoerper 8 and the remaining arm of each L-shaped support part serves as a lateral guide for the continuous piece of rope.
- the float-like bodies 8 are connected by an additional connecting rope 15, a chain or a similar component which serves as a spacer. It is provided that the float-like body 8, the z. B. is arranged on the mountain side of the rope pieces 5a or 5b, is fixedly connected to the ground near the ski jumping table 1.
- the mode of operation of the device according to the invention is the following:
- the snow vehicle 6 or the snow vehicle 7 is connected to the corresponding ends of the cable pieces 5a or 5b, as can be seen in FIG. 2.
- the snow vehicle 6 is attached with its head piece to the rope 5 a and rises along the landing track 2.
- the vehicle 7, on the other hand, is connected with the back part to the rope piece 5 b and travels down the landing track 2 down the valley.
- the vehicles 6, 7 are absolutely secured against the steep jump track 2. Due to the opposite movement of the two snow vehicles (upward movement / downward movement), the weight of the snow vehicles is counterbalanced. This allows the landing track 2 to be prepared with significantly lower engine forces and significantly lower torques on the caterpillar. This prevents damage to the snow jacket and damage to the plastic coating underneath. Thanks to the provision of float-like bodies 8, damage to the prepared landing strip 2 by the rope pieces 5a, 5b itself is also prevented. Furthermore, the float-like bodies 8 allow the snow vehicles 6, 7 to move freely to the outside of the landing track 2, like this B. is shown in Fig. 2 for the snow vehicle 7.
- the invention makes it possible to process the landing strip 2 with the shield of the snow vehicles 2, 3 in order to remove excess snow.
- the milling unit on the back of the snow vehicle, there is the possibility of compacting the snow covering or removing any icing.
- the snow vehicles 6, 7 are additionally equipped with a front-mounted son milling machine, it is also possible to collect snow on the side edges of the runway 2 and to throw it into the middle of the runway 2, which further improves the possibilities for preparing the track.
- the speed at which the landing track can be prepared using two snow vehicles 6, 7 and the device according to the invention is such that the landing track 2 can also be repaired during the short breaks in the competition.
- the snow vehicles 6, 7 always work with their front facing in the direction of travel (f) or (g).
- the snow vehicle 6 has reached the mountain-side zone of the jump track 2 and is located near the jump table of the ski jump 1 and consequently the vehicle 7 has the valley-side end of the jump track 2 has reached, the vehicles are released from the rope ends 5a and 5b, the vehicles are turned and the rope pieces 5a and 5b are connected again with the turned snow vehicles.
- This makes it possible for the vehicle previously driven uphill (arrow f) to now head down towards the valley with its front plate and for the vehicle 7, which in the previous operation had driven down to the valley side, now to take the landing track 2 with the front plate pointing towards the mountain in the direction Hill table 1 driven.
- the rope pieces 5, 5a, 5b can be wound up with particular advantage by means of a winch or similar device for storage or transport purposes.
