Definitions
- the invention relates to a lung-controlled valve for overpressure operation in the interior of a breathing mask according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a lung-controlled valve is known from DE 35 39 668 A1.
- the diaphragm controlling the valve lever of the intake valve has at its center a driver projecting into the outer chamber for a rocker arm which is articulated on the outer chamber housing and is clamped by spring elements stretched transversely through the outer chamber in such a way that it is in a tilting joint from a dead position out into a first pressure position exerting a force on the membrane and into a second switch-off position lifting the membrane off the valve lever, in that the rocker arm engages with its free end in the driver and takes it along with the membrane by a predetermined stroke.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a lung-controlled valve for a breathing mask with excess pressure in the interior of the mask, in which an unintentional triggering or switching on of the valve is prevented in the switched-off operating position.
- an optical display is also to be created for the switched-on operating position, ie for the overpressure position.
- valve is securely held in the rest position by simple means and remains closed in the event of external vibrations.
- control membrane is completely separate and controllable from the switching direction.
- the lung-controlled valve 1 consists of a valve housing 2 with a breathing gas outlet connection 3 for connecting a breathing mask, not shown, a breathing gas supply connection 4, in which in a valve body 5 with a Through bore 6a provided spring-loaded control piston 6 is arranged axially displaceably, and in operative connection with a valve seat 7 controls the supply of breathing gas, a control membrane 8 with a centrally arranged elastic elevation 9, into which a basket-like recess 9a is incorporated (see FIG.
- the elastic elevation 9 is referred to below as the nipple piece 9.
- the valve body 5 carries on the side facing the control membrane 8 a rocker arm 13 which cooperates with a rocker 14 clamped on one side on the valve body in such a way that it can open and close the through bore 6a of the control piston by means of the control membrane 8 to be actuated with a closure part 15.
- the control membrane 8 is clamped on all sides on its circumference between the valve body 5 and the pot-like insert 10 in the valve housing 2.
- the control membrane 8 divides the valve 1 into an outer chamber 16 which is connected to the ambient pressure of the atmosphere and into a breathing chamber 17 which carries the breathing gas and which has a pressure which corresponds to the inner pressure of the respiratory mask.
- the connection between the atmosphere and the outer chamber 16 is established through a number of openings 18 in the pot-like insert 10.
- the valve housing 2 is closed by a pipe section 19, which fulfills the function of an impact protection.
- a through opening 28 is provided for the actuation button 11 and window-like openings 20 are incorporated around the circumference, through which the contrasting actuation button 11 is visually visible when the valve 1 is in the operating position.
- the pot-like insert 10 is an essential functional part for the valve 1. It is designed as a guide part for the axially movable actuation button 11 and as a support part for receiving a stop spring 21 and a return spring 22 for the actuation button 11 and an overpressure spring 23 for the control membrane 8
- the pot-like insert 10 is provided with a recess 24, into which the nipple piece 9 of the control membrane 8, which is captively entrained by the plunger 12 of the button 11, positively enters the rest position of the valve 1 and is supported there firmly. This measure advantageously ensures that unintentional triggering of the switched-off valve is prevented even in the case of shock-like external loads on the valve 1.
- the valve body 6 contains two spacers 25, against which the control diaphragm 8 with its nipple piece 9 rests firmly when the actuation button 11 is pressed into the latched position, so that the tappet 12 of the button 11 can move into the nipple piece 9 and is held there in a form-fitting manner (see FIG . 1, 2 and 3).
- the return spring 22 arranged in the pot-like insert 10 is connected to the actuation button 11, which in the operating position of the valve brings the actuation button outward into an optically visible end position by the button 11 resting against the stop 26.
- the nipple piece 9 of the control membrane 8 advantageously has two opposing slits 27 which, at the moment of the first breath, i.e. outside the annular recess 24 of the pot-shaped insert 10, which, in contrast to the rest position, enables the plunger 12 of the actuating button to be disengaged much more easily. This measure achieves a switchover that is perceived as pleasant in the operating position for the device carrier.
- the spring-loaded actuation button 11 is fully depressed and in this case engages with the plunger 12 into the nipple piece 9, which is similar to a collecting basket, the control membrane 8 resting on the two spacers (25) and tilting the rocker arm 13 about its pivot point (see Figure 1).
- the rocker 14 lifts off with its closure part 15 which closes the through bore 6a of the control piston 6, and releases the through opening 6a for the breathing gas to flow through, but only as long as the button 11 remains depressed by hand.
- the breathing gas delivery can advantageously be controlled manually, e.g. a second person is supplied with the breathing gas for a short time or the respiratory mask is to be cleaned of dangerous pollutants by blowing out breathing gas, or the breathing gas supply nozzle 4 is to be relieved of pressure after completion of the work.
- the lung controlled valve 1 is in the rest position, i.e. shown in the "stand-by" position.
- a negative pressure and thus also a negative pressure is generated in the breathing chamber 17 only during the first breath in the mask interior.
- the resulting negative pressure causes the control diaphragm 8 and the latched plunger 12 to be pulled downwards.
- the actuating button 11 with the plunger 12 is supported on the stop spring 21 and on the return spring 22 until the negative pressure that forms is in connection with the force of the pressure spring 23, the nipple piece 9, which is designed like a collecting basket, is released from the covering of the annular recess 24 and the plunger 12 is elastically disengaged from the nipple piece 9.
- the return spring 22 presses the actuation button 11 up to an upper stop 26 of the pipe section 19, the button 11 being visible in the window-like opening 20 and thus indicating to the device user or a third person that the valve 1 is in the pressurized position.
- the control diaphragm 8 can now move freely during further breathing and, by means of the rocker arm 13, lift the control piston 6 from the valve seat 7 and thus open the lung-controlled inlet valve (see Figure 5).
- the adjustable overpressure spring 23 pressurizes the control membrane 8 and controls the overpressure inside the mask during breathing.
- valve 1 If the valve 1 is to be switched off, then the actuation button 11 according to FIG. 3 must be fully depressed so that the valve 1 assumes the rest position according to FIG. 4.
Abstract
Description
- Fig. 4 das lungengesteuerte Ventil in Ruhestellung, und
