Abstract

Die Einschmelzung eines Entladungsgefäßes (4) einer Natriumhochdruckentladungslampe enthält einen Stopfen (7) aus Keramik, der in das Ende des Entladungsgefäßes (4) eingesintert ist. Der Stopfen (7) besteht aus einem zylindrischen Teil (12) und einem konischen Teil (13). Der Konus ist der Elektrode (10, 11) zugewandt und er­ streckt sich bis zur Elektrodenwendel (11). An der äußeren Mantelfläche des konischen Teils (13) sind Taschen (14) angeformt, die durch Stege (15) vonein­ ander getrennt sind und in denen die metallischen Füllsubstanzen elektrisch-isoliert von der Stromzufüh­ rung (8) kondensieren. Durch die Konstruktion wird eine verbesserte koaxiale Ausrichtung des Stopfens (7) im Entladungsgefäß (4) bewirkt. Darüber hinaus erfolgt ein verbesserter Wärmeübergang aus dem Rohr (6) in den Stopfen (7), wodurch eine erhöhte coldspot-Temperatur erzielt wird. Das Entladungsgefäß wird dadurch geeignet für farbverbesserte Lampen sowie für "plug-in"-Typen. Auch hinsichtlich der Erschütterungsfestigkeit der Lampen wird eine Verbesserung erzielt.
