Definitions

  • the invention relates to a gripper with guide wood for a weaving machine with weft insertion by alternately advancing and retracting into the shed support members with grippers arranged at the end thereof, wherein at least one guide wood is arranged on the side wall of the gripper, with which the gripper slides along the reed.
  • connection between the guide wood and the gripper was solved by providing a hole in the guide wood and inserting a tensioning rubber into this hole in such a way that it passed through a corresponding hole on one side of the gripper and there under one Enlarged diameter in the manner of a rivet head.
  • the gripper wood was firmly connected to the outside of the gripper via at least two of the clamping rubbers described.
  • the object of the present invention is to develop a gripper of the present type so that the guide wood, when it comes into contact with the reed, rests with its entire surface on the reed.
  • the invention is characterized in that the guide wood is tiltably mounted on the side of the gripper transversely to the direction of movement of the gripper.
  • the main advantage is achieved that in the control phase of the gripper the guide wood aligns itself with the fixed reed and thus rests against the reed over the largest possible area. This results in a smoother gripper run.
  • a first embodiment provides an exemption in the space between the guide wood and the gripper side wall, so that the guide wood can automatically tilt under the force of the elastic connection between the guide wood and the gripper.
  • the exemption can be made on the guide wood, but it could also be provided on the gripper itself.
  • tilt axis An axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the gripper is preferred as the tilt axis, which is preferably formed by an axis which is defined by a connecting line which connects the two clamping rubbers to one another.
  • an elastic insert for example made of a foam plastic, a rubber or the like, is arranged between the guide wood and the gripper side wall.
  • This latter embodiment can also be combined by providing both a foam plastic and an exemption.
  • the guide wood is rotatably mounted on an axis at both ends on the side wall of the gripper.
  • the otherwise used elastic straps 3 are omitted and rather either a continuous axis or short axles 17 or stub axles are used for mounting the guide wood 9 or at both ends of the guide wood 9, which penetrate through bends in the side wall.
  • the guide wood is constructed in a sandwich construction and has outer surfaces made of hard material with an elastic insert made of soft material.
  • the outer wall of the guide wood is made of hard material, but can give way elastically when pressurized, which ensures alignment with the fixed reed.
  • the side wall itself is mounted on the gripper with swivel joints on the gripper.
  • the side wall is supported on the gripper by a spring.
  • a gripper 1 has a side wall 2, a guide wood 8 being arranged on this side wall via two spaced-apart tensioning rubbers 3.
  • the attachment via the tensioning rubber 3 takes place in such a way that in each case a bore 5 is provided in the side wall 2, through which the tensioning rubber engages with a neck of smaller cross-section.
  • the clamping rubber On the inside of the side wall 2, the clamping rubber has a head 4 of enlarged diameter, and in the guide wood 8 there is a bore 6 which has an enlarged diameter compared to the bore 5, so that a transition from the bore 6 into the bore 5 has a paragraph 7.
  • the bore diameters 5 and 6 therefore differ from one another and are separated from one another by way of the step 7, which is arranged in the guide wood.
  • the bores 5, 6 are thus filled in by the tensioning rubber 3.
  • the pivoting takes place in that an exemption 11 is arranged on the guide wood between the inner surface of the guide wood and the associated outer surface of the side wall, i. H. the guide wood lies only approximately in a line between the elastic straps 3 on the side wall.
  • a pivot line is thus formed outside of which the exemption 11 is attached, so that the guide wood 8 can thereby pivot freely in the direction of the arrow 13 under the elasticity of the tensioning rubbers 3.
  • a corresponding exemption 15 is also arranged on the upper side of the guide wood.
  • FIG. 3 A second embodiment is shown in FIG. 3, wherein an elastic insert 10 is arranged between a straight guide wood 9 (the inner wall of the guide wood 9 in relation to the outer wall of the side wall 2 of the gripper 1 is straight).
  • This elastic insert consists, for. B. from a foam plastic, a rubber or a rubber material, so that it is easily compressible and resiliently elastic.
  • the guide wood 9 also enables the required tilting movement in the arrow directions 12, 13.
  • the gripper has a much smoother run in its control phase, because it is ensured that the guide wood 8, 9 with its tread 16 is always in full contact with the reed.
  • the guide piece 9 is rotatably supported at both ends, specifically on axes 17, which, starting from the angled portions of the side wall 2, pass through the guide wood 9.
  • the guide wood 9 can also pivot in the direction of the arrows 12, 13 via this type of mounting, the guide wood being rounded in the region of the side wall in order to permit the guide wood 9 to be pivoted into the side wall 2 in this way.
  • the guide wood 9 is constructed in a sandwich construction, with outer surfaces 19 made of hard material and an elastic insert 18 made of soft material, so that the outer wall of the guide wood 9 can yield elastically when it hits the reed and aligns with the reed.
  • elastic tensioning rubbers 3 are also provided, on which the guide wood 9 is fastened to the side wall 2 in an additional elastic mounting.
  • the guide wood 9 and the side wall 2 are provided so that they can be pivoted together, specifically in the region of the swivel joints 20 that start from the gripper 1.
  • the guide wood 9 pivots with the side wall 2 in the arrow directions 22, 23 in the sense of alignment with the fixed reed.
  • the side wall 2 is cushioned with respect to the gripper 1, in particular by a spring 21, which, after cushioning, brings the guide wood 9 and the side wall 2 back into the starting position.
  • the elastic insert 10 between the side wall 2 and the guide wood 8 serves as a damper against hard impacts
  • the lower clearance 11 running in a horizontal line with its longitudinal extension parallel to the longitudinal extension of the guide wood 9 permits excellent movement play of the guide wood around the longitudinal axis ( Tilting position).
  • the lower exemption 11 can, however, also be arranged at the top, as is indicated in FIG. 9 at item 11 '.
  • Fig. 9 also shows that an upper (11 ') and a lower exemption 11 may be present. It is important that all of the exemplary embodiments in FIGS. 1 to 9 can be combined with one another.
