Definitions

  • the invention relates to a doctor blade device for applying application material such as foamable substances of different viscosities, coating materials, lacquers, adhesives, pastes or the like. on an application surface (substrate) with a press-on squeegee, which is integrated in a pivotable profile strip.
  • a squeegee device is used in machines for flat stencil printing, for round stencil applications and / or devices for stencilless full-area applications, the width of the application area or the doctor blade extension can be several meters.
  • sample applications (printing) and / or full-surface applications e.g. impregnation, coating, dyeing, painting
  • the doctor blade used in each case and / or a doctor device comprising it is of crucial importance with regard to the operating and application possibilities of a machine and with regard to the substance application result.
  • a doctor blade device of the type mentioned with the features a) and b) of claim 1 is known from (WO-A 80/02400).
  • this known device comprises a roller doctor integrated in the profile bar, the profile bar being pivotable about the axis of the roller doctor.
  • the pivoting position of the profile strip forming an auxiliary device is to be locked by special mechanical means which must have an adjustable inclined bearing surface for the auxiliary device.
  • the magnetic contact force must be increased considerably towards larger, firmly locked swivel positions. It is therefore not possible to precisely regulate and adjust the application result or the substance application in a wide range or very finely by simply changing the congestion gap.
  • the overall arrangement comprising the paint tube, the support and the doctor blade in a rigid connection can be adjusted with special additional storage and locking means of an application / printing machine into a swivel position to be locked in a fixed manner around the contact line of the doctor blade on an application surface.
  • a squeegee device is also known (DE-A 25 44 784), in which a squeegee roller can be pressed against the back of a separately arranged profiled strip which is spaced from the rolling surface of the squeegee roller.
  • Squeegee devices of this type comprise components which must be kept available to influence the application result and / or adapted to one another for each type of machine. With the squeegee roller, which can be pressed onto the back of the profiled strip, it is possible, in addition to a roller squeegee effect, to produce a doctor blade effect which influences the application result, but only to a limited extent.
  • a squeegee rail (squeegee element) rigidly connected to a support bar and to the handlebars is to be set into an angular position that is firmly locked relative to the application surface by means of a crank lever drive.
  • An air chamber for pressing the doctor blade is arranged between the doctor blade rail and a doctor blade attached to it.
  • the means for locking the squeegee element require a relatively large mounting space, and there is an undesirable dependency of the size of the substance gap on the pneumatic contact pressure. A defined change in the application result during machine operation is not possible.
  • the application quantity, the size of the substance space and / or its shape must be determined with the choice of the doctor blade and / or associated profile strips before starting up a printing device.
  • the wrong choice of a doctor roller, for example in multicolor machines can have a very disadvantageous effect.
  • the invention has for its object to a particularly simple and compact, easy-to-use and in particular universally usable doctor blade device create, with which the application result or the substance application can be adjusted without replacement of parts in a wide range or to a large extent and also very finely acting and in particular can be continuously, precisely and definedly changed during the operation of a machine.
  • the doctor device With the joint arrangement on the profile strip, the doctor device, which can be handled in one piece, ensures universal use in a wide variety of machines and / or setting or changing an application result, in particular during machine operation.
  • the substance storage space can be easily specified or changed with regard to size or shape and / or an application angle of a substance accumulation wedge which is formed in doctor blade extension in front of a doctor blade or in front of its application or pressure line.
  • this eliminates the conventional requirement of a doctor blade exchange and / or the hitherto usual use of several specially designed doctor blades and / or the previously required special choice of the size of magnetizable doctor blade device masses for the doctor blade systems with magnetic pressure which are very advantageous per se.
  • doctor device according to the invention can be operated with a doctor blade or a doctor blade.
  • the mechanical and / or material-elastic joint arranged eccentrically to the longitudinal center of gravity of the profile strip the pivoting mobility of the profile strip is favored.
  • a very advantageous embodiment of the profile element according to the invention is that it is at least one of the Squeegee or profile surface facing the application surface, which is parallel to the longitudinal axis and which forms a working gap and / or application material space which tapers or narrows substantially in the direction of the area of a doctor pressure line.
  • a flat-shaped working gap can be formed with the squeegee / profile surface, which can be changed in particular up to approximately the wedge angle by the profile element pivoting mobility, while for other applications a steep-shaped substance storage space formed with the squeegee / profile surface or working gap is particularly useful.
  • a relatively large pressure is exerted on the substance with a flat working gap or a flat substance wedge, so that the depth of penetration into a substrate is correspondingly large.
  • a relatively large substance space is achieved with a steep working gap, in which case the pressure on the substance is relatively low.
  • a flat-shaped working gap or a steep-shaped working gap can be changed continuously and - if desired - only slightly by the pivoting design of the profile element.
  • a doctor blade is alternatively mounted in a direction facing away from an application surface, the profile strip in particular being cut free on the side facing away from the application surface in such a way that a recess is formed on the rear side of the doctor blade .
  • a very advantageous embodiment consists in that the profile strip is designed to be integrated with a roller doctor blade, in that it is mounted or carried in a receptacle, in particular a rectangular cross section of the profile strip, as a rotatable doctor blade roller.
  • the profile element can be tilted or pivoted about an extension axis of the doctor roller.
  • the web sliding surface of a groove-shaped, axially parallel receptacle can tilt around its apex area, bearing against the doctor roller, whereby this system advantageously acts as a sealing strip, so that no substance can get into the area behind the doctor roller.
  • a magnetizable roller doctor is rotatably supported by the force of a magnetic device arranged in a longitudinal axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the profile strip in a receptacle, in particular a rectangular cross section, extending in an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis, against the sliding surface or coating .
  • the magnet device comprises a permanent magnet which is arranged along the longitudinal axis of the profile strip and in particular is designed as a support element.
  • the permanent magnet support element consists of a magnetizable material, so that the support element and also the doctor roller itself can be magnetically attracted by means of a magnetic device arranged under the application surface for doctor pressure.
  • the profiled strip and the doctor blade roller form a very practical handling unit which can be installed or removed together in a printing device, in particular in the relatively narrow space in a round stencil, and can also be cleaned as a unit.
  • the permanent magnet doctor roll holder or storage is very suitable for holding a roll of small diameter and long length, since there would be a great risk of bending if such a roll were handled alone.
  • the weight of the profile element together with the weight of the support element advantageously forms a counterweight to the storage area formed in front of the doctor roller in operation. This effect can be increased by increasing the magnetic force of a magnetic device arranged under the application surface. If necessary, however, the force resulting from the structural weight of the profile strip and the weight of the supporting element can also be counteracted by a correspondingly opposite generation of magnetic force of the magnetic device.
  • the back pressure can be adapted, which is brought about by the profile strip with its storage surface, which is designed in particular as a profile surface, and counteracts the substance back pressure, which in turn depends on the respective width of the storage surface, the respective substance viscosity and the respective Machine working speed is dependent.
  • The, in particular rod-shaped, permanent magnet lying above the doctor extension has a double function. Outside of the machine operating state, due to its permanent magnetic force, it acts as a squeegee roller holding rod or bar, while during operation of the machine it serves as a magnetizable mass that can be attracted by the magnetic device to exert profile strip or squeegee pressure.
  • the doctor device can be operated with doctor rolls of relatively small diameter.
  • these are - as is not possible with conventional doctor devices or devices - due to the functional unit formed with the profile bar for applying practically any desired amount of substance.
  • This universal application of a relatively thin doctor roller rod is achieved, in particular, in that, if necessary, an increase in the magnetic pull-on force on the support element or the profile bar which rests on the doctor roller is effected.
  • the advantageous design of the profile element with an integrated doctor blade roller of relatively small diameter is not limited to the mounting of the doctor blade roller with a permanent magnet.
  • the doctor roller rests on a lateral flank of its, in particular, groove-shaped receptacle.
  • a seal against the accumulation substance along the doctor blade extension can be achieved by itself or possibly in addition to the crown system described as advantageous.
  • the roller squeegee is movably mounted in the receptacle transversely to its doctor extension, so that, if desired, it can be brought into contact with one of the (groove) receiving flanks.
  • the profile element supports a circular axis element which is parallel to the longitudinal axis and which runs freely in sliding bearings, that forms a doctor blade or with which a doctor blade is rotatably mounted.
  • the magnetic contact pressure of the profile element can be achieved in particular in that it consists at least partially of magnetizable material.
  • the profile element With regard to the ability of the profile element to be pressed, that is to say a good contact pressure of a squeegee line onto a stencil or onto an application surface along the squeegee extension or the application width, it is advantageous - as has already been pointed out in connection with an expedient embodiment - that the profile element has at least one in the squeegee extension includes in particular continuous support element with a mass serving the doctor pressure.
  • the support element made of magnetizable material such as steel or the like. consists.
  • a supporting element which mechanically stabilizes the profile element in addition to the mass-pressing function, advantageously also in doctor blade extension, that is to say performs a stiffening function, is expediently designed with statically suitable cross sections.
  • statically suitable cross sections In particular, it is provided with a rectangular or circular cross section.
  • the profile element for at least one connection element, preferably in the form of a plug or clamping element for fast Detachable pivot linkage.
  • connection element preferably in the form of a plug or clamping element for fast Detachable pivot linkage.
  • a further special embodiment of the profile element is that it can be pivoted by means of a swivel arm arranged on it.
  • the profile element is held at a certain distance from an application surface or from a template, in which case it is very expedient to design the profile element with a permanently magnetically mounted doctor roller, as has been described above .
  • the squeegee roller can be torn off from the profile element permanent magnet as a result of the profile element distance from the application surface / template, so that it no longer has contact with the web surface of a groove-shaped, in particular rectangular, receptacle.
  • the squeegee roller When the printing device is at a standstill, on the other hand, due to the attraction of the permanent magnet, the squeegee roller jumps into a position in contact with the receiving land surface, in which it lies at a distance from an application surface or template.
  • the handling unit consisting of the profile element and the doctor roller can then simply be removed from the printing device or, conversely, correspondingly easily inserted into it.
  • the stowage or profile surfaces of the profile element can advantageously be flat and / or suitably curved to influence the substance storage space in a special way.
  • the profile element consists at least partially of plastic with regard to easy manufacture and / or advantageous handling. It can be used in printing devices with magnetic pressing means (profile element with at least partially magnetizable mass or magnetizable supporting element), mechanical, hydraulic, and / or pneumatic pressing devices.
  • Each squeegee device 3 extends in a circular stencil 7.
  • a printing blanket 8 is a web forming the substrate or application surface 4, which moves during printing operation by means of the printing blanket 8 in the running direction L and thereby by pressing a squeegee 301, 302 against the Stencil 7 is printed by its pattern with a substance 5 lying in the running direction L in front of a doctor pressure line 36.
  • a profile element 30 which is partly made of plastic, as parallel to one by the doctor extension certain longitudinal or hinge axis 320 extending profile strip 31 is formed.
  • a magnetizable support element 35 with a rectangular cross section in the form of a carrier is embedded in the profile element plastic part.
  • the support element 35 fits snugly around a permanently magnetic support element part 340 lying along the doctor blade extension.
  • a non-magnetizable sliding surface 315 is arranged, which forms the web part of a groove-shaped receptacle 314 having a rectangular cross-section parallel to the longitudinal axis and forming the application surface 4 is open and a roller doctor blade 302 is supported.
  • the flank walls also have a sliding coating. The roller doctor blade is guided freely in the receptacle 314.
  • the profile strip 31 can be magnetically attracted with the support element 35, 340 along its extent evenly in the direction of the printing blanket 8 by means of a magnetic device 6 arranged below it.
  • Each profile strip 31 according to FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises a swivel arm profile 38, the arm axis 380 of which can be pivoted about the hinge axis 320 is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 312 of the support element.
  • Each profile strip 31 can be tilted or pivoted about an extension axis of the doctor roller 302 in directions K1 or K2.

    a) le racloir (3) comporte une baguette profilée (30), dans laquelle est intégrée une racle (301, 302) et qui forme un organe de manipulation monobloc ;
    b) la baguette profilée (30) et/ou les éléments (35, 301, 302, 340) qui y sont intégrés sont au moins partiellement en un matériau sur lequel un champ magnétique, émanant d'un dispositif magnétique (6) disposé en-dessous de la surface de subjectile (4), agit pour assurer le contact magnétique de la racle (301, 302) et de la surface de subjectile (4) ;
    c) une pièce intégrée dans la baguette profilée (3) est conçue sous forme d'une racle à enduire (301) ou d'une racle à rouleau (302) ;
    d) contre la baguette profilée (30) est rapportée une articulation mécanique et/ou élastique du fait du matériau (32) dont l'axe longitudinal, défini par l'étendue de la racle, forme un axe d'articulation (320), lequel s'étend d'une manière excentrée par rapport à l'axe barycentrique longitudinal (302), parallèle à l'axe longitudinal, de la baguette profilée (30),
       racloir dans lequel
    e) la baguette profilée (30) est mobile en pivotement tant autour de l'axe d'articulation (320) qu'autour de la ligne de contact (36) de la racle à enduire (301), ou de la racle à rouleau (302), de façon que la baguette profilée (30), sous l'effet de la force magnétique du dispositif magnétique, peut être maintenue dans une position de pivotement définie par la distance (A, A1, A2) entre l'articulation (32) et la surface de subjectile (4).
