Definitions

  • the invention relates to an adjustment device for ski bindings, as specified in the first part of claims 1 and 2, respectively.
  • the actuator is designed as a slide which is displaceable transversely to the longitudinal direction of the ski and which can be locked by a spring.
  • the slide is provided with a recess into which an extension of the locking member, which is designed as a two-armed lever, engages.
  • This adjustment device has the disadvantage that, due to the teeth which are triangular in plan view, the latching element is subjected to a torque during operation which attempts to disengage the teeth of the latching element from the teeth of the toothed rack.
  • the surface pressure between the extension of the locking member, which sits on the shorter lever arm, and the recess in the slide, in which the extension engages is so great that, after prolonged use of the adjusting device, deformations can occur which result in unintentional unlocking of locking element and toothed rack result.
  • Adjusting devices of a different type than the subject of the invention are described in AT-A-375 260. These adjustment devices have a frame-shaped guide plate which is provided with angled guides in the region of its longitudinal edges. As a result, however, deflection and thus pressing the guide plate against the slide by the latching elements is not possible.
  • the locking members are designed as one-armed levers.
  • the invention has for its object to eliminate the disadvantages of the known designs and to provide an adjustment device for ski bindings, in which the locking of the carriage is not only brought about by positive locking, but also by force locking.
  • a guide plate fastened to the ski is approximately U-shaped in cross section, with a row of holes being recessed in one leg of the U here as well.
  • a slide is slidably mounted on this guide plate, which carries latching teeth at its one end region, which are intended for engagement in the row of holes. The slide can be swiveled so far within the guide plate that the locking teeth can be pulled out of the row of holes.
  • a two-armed lever is rotatably mounted in a recess of the slide on an axis perpendicular to the top of the ski, the longer arm of which is supported in the locked position of the adjusting device on the leg of the guide plate free of holes.
  • the shorter arm of the lever rests on an actuator which fixes the lever either in a position in which the longer arm projects laterally over the slide, or in a position in which this arm is flush with the side surface of the slide.
  • This version has the disadvantage of a complicated structure, since either the axis of the lever or the axis of the actuator must be stored in a rubber-elastic intermediate sleeve in order to achieve the desired effect (locking the lever in two positions).
  • the lever is therefore under the influence of a spring, which sets limits to the contact pressure and thereby reduces friction. This is all the more so since the contact pressure is reduced by the lever reduction at the point of application.
