Definitions
- the invention relates to a ventilation device with a radial fan, the drivable fan wheel in a blower housing with at least one radially flowable inlet opening and outlet opening is rotatable, the inlet and outlet openings are offset in the axial direction of the fan and a first and a second flow channel end at the blower housing and each of the housing openings of the rotatable or convertible blower housing can optionally be connected to the first or second flow channel, the blower housing also having a circular cylindrical outer jacket on which, in particular opposite, the inlet and outlet openings are located and eccentrically thereto circular arc-shaped inner jacket of the blower housing is arranged.
- a ventilation device is known from US-A-2 363 191.
- Switching from supply air to extract air is carried out by turning the fan housing in the device housing.
- the respective supply air is separated from the exhaust air by two sloping housing partitions. Their inner edges point towards the rotatable fan housing. The latter is mounted in the front and rear walls of the device housing.
- the air can easily flow from the supply air into the exhaust air space of the device housing or vice versa. When the fan is at a standstill, drafts can therefore occur and ultimately an interior can cool down in the cold season.
- the object of the invention is therefore to further develop a ventilation device of the type described at the outset in such a way that at least undesirable drafts are avoided by the passage of air from the supply air into the exhaust air space of the device housing or vice versa.
- the ventilation device is designed in accordance with the preamble of claim 1 in accordance with the characterizing part of this claim. Due to the special dimensioning, shape and choice of play between the blower housing and the device housing one achieves, in particular also due to the 9 o angle mentioned in claim 1, a strict separation of supply air and exhaust air according to the invention, so that drafts are eliminated.
- this ventilation device can be completely closed by rotating the fan housing by 90 °, so that when the fan is at a standstill, any air passage through the ventilation device is reliably prevented due to a difference in air pressure between the inlet and the outlet.
- This fan can be switched from supply air to extract air in a known manner by rotating the fan housing. This is done with a 180 ° turn.
- the ventilation device can be locked from each of these positions by turning it 90 °.
- the circular cylindrical outer jacket enables a simple design of the interior of the ventilation device with the two ventilation channels.
- the play between the blower housing and the inner surfaces of the device housing must be dimensioned such that the blower housing can be rotated without effort, but on the other hand there are no creeping paths for the air or at least minimized.
- the 90 ° angles for the two openings are sufficient for high ventilation performance.
- the inlet and outlet openings are closed with the aid of the aforementioned circular cylindrical inner surfaces of the ventilation device housing.
- the blower housing is only rotatably mounted on a front wall of the device or a cover of this front wall, the free end of the essentially tubular or pot-like blower housing resting on the inner surface of the rear wall of the device.
- Free end is understood here to mean the end of the blower housing that is remote from the front wall. If you close the lid or put it on with a removable lid, this free end lies in the closed end position of the lid or the front wall with its front end edge airtight against the inner surface of the rear wall pointing in the opposite direction. As the exemplary embodiment shows, this end edge need not necessarily be a closed ring.
- blower housing has a tubular shape or a pot shape depends on the design of the cover or the front wall in this area.
- the bottom of the pot can be provided with an opening which is closed in a suitable manner and simplifies assembly, for example.
- the blower housing is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a rotary member on the outside of the device front wall or its cover, the rotary member or the blower housing being mounted in a bore in the device front wall or its cover.
- the fan housing does not need to be particularly aligned with the two channels when mounting the cover or the front wall, but rather can be brought into the desired rotational position with the cover closed, so that the device is flowed through from the inside to the outside or from the outside to the inside .
- the rotary member has a rotary position display member, in particular a pointer-type rotary knob, which together with a display scale or the like forms a display device on the outside of the device front wall.
- a label could also be provided, for example, according to the exemplary embodiment, the label with the words “supply air”, “exhaust air” or "closed”.
- a further preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the first and the second flow channels extend from one another, the outer end of the first channel being assigned to the device base and the outer end of the second channel being assigned to the device rear wall.
- This ventilation device is therefore suitable for attachment to an outer wall with a corresponding wall opening which adjoins the second flow channel. If the first duct begins at the bottom of the device, this has the advantage that there is no air deflection, which would be required if the duct was opened at the side, but the ventilation device must be at a sufficiently large distance from the ground that can be omitted at the side or front end of the duct.
- the first and the second flow channels are formed by insulating material and, moreover, the fan housing is made of plastic, in particular with sound-insulating properties.
- the insulating material can extend as far as the housing of the ventilation device or can consist of an insulating layer of a flow channel formed from another material.
- the insulation material is primarily material for sound insulation, through which fan noise and outside noise are retained.
- the surface of the sewer can be knotted in the area of the insulation.
- the fan housing is also made of plastic, in particular with sound-absorbing properties.
- the ventilation device has a cuboid housing 1, which is open on its front side and can be closed by means of a front wall 2, which in particular has a U-shaped cross section.
- the lower end of the housing in the drawing is designed as a removable ventilation grille 3. It can be surrounded by a frame 4 and can be opened in a manner not shown. It expediently consists of swiveling slats.
- the housing 1 has a U-shaped outer jacket 5 made of metal or stable plastic and a soundproofing material, expediently also U-shaped lining 6, the legs of the latter facing downwards, while those of the outer jacket are directed forward.
- the lining 6 can be made in one piece with a rear insulation panel 7 or rest there against it in an airtight manner.
- 6 grooves are provided on the two legs of the lining, which lie opposite one another and form inner surfaces 8 and 9 in the form of cylindrical cylinders.
- the latter expediently also consists of sound-absorbing material and, apart from its radial breakthroughs, it has a circular-cylindrical outer jacket 33.
- a circular-cylindrical inner jacket 12 is provided eccentrically to this, so that the wall thickness in the circumferential direction continuously increases over 180 ° from a maximum value to a minimum value changed and thereby an at least approximate spiral shape of the blower housing is present, as is required for radial blowers.
- first flow channel 13 is the inflow channel and the second flow channel 14 is the outflow channel of the ventilation device.
- these two channels have a rectangular cross section, and the first flow channel 13 can be somewhat widened towards the ventilation grille 3.
- the plane of the ventilation grille can deviate from the drawing and also incline to the horizontal plane, with a corresponding adjustment of the flow channel and ventilation grille.
- the flow pattern is symbolized in FIG. 1 by arrow 15. The room is vented in this setting of the blower housing 11.
- the air flow is deflected at a right angle in order to then flow into the atmosphere via the opening 17 in the rear wall of the housing, it being possible for a wall opening (not shown) or a further air connection piece to connect directly to the opening 17.
- a cover attachment 19 with a main switch 20 for switching on the fan motor 21 and a further actuating member 22, in particular for gradually changing the motor speed.
- the fan motor 21 drives the impeller 23 in a known manner.
- the jacket of the pot-shaped fan housing 11 is provided with two mutually opposite openings.
- the upper opening in FIG. 2 extends to the free end edge 24 and it extends in the axial direction over approximately 2/3 to 3/4 of the housing height 25.
- this outlet opening 26 which is open at the edge, and the one opposite it in the radial direction, extends Inlet opening 27 over approximately 90 ° or a somewhat smaller angle.
- the inlet opening 27 is assigned to the base 28, which is preferably designed as an intermediate base, and extends from it in the axial direction over approximately 1/4 or 1/3 of the housing height 25.
- Fig. 4 the fan housing 11 is rotated by 180 ° with respect to the position shown in FIG. 2.
- the direction of flow in the ventilation device is reversed, which is symbolized by arrow 29 (FIG. 3).
- the outside air flows in the direction of arrow 30 into the second flow channel 14 and flows through the outlet opening 26 of the radial fan 32, which is now located below, into the first flow channel 13. This leaves it via the ventilation grille 3 and finally arrives in the direction of the arrow 31 into the room equipped with this ventilation device.
- the inlet opening 27 and the outlet opening 26 can be assigned to the inner cylindrical surfaces 8 and 9, respectively, by rotating the blower housing 11 by 90 °. Because these openings do not protrude in the circumferential direction over the inner surfaces 8 and 9, the natural air throughput is prevented by the ventilation device in this rotational position "CLOSED".
- the blower housing 11 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a rotary member 34 on the outside of the device front wall 2.
- the rotary member and / or the blower housing 11 passes through this front wall 2, one of the two parts being rotatably mounted directly in a bore in the front wall 2.
- the rotary member 34 has a rotary position display member 35, which is a pointer-shaped rotary knob in the exemplary embodiment. He works in a manner not shown with a display scale or with corresponding fixed markings on the outside of the front wall 2, for example with the words "exhaust air", "supply air” or twice the word "CLOSE". Due to the shape of the pointer and the arrangement of these four words at an angle of 90 ° to each other, the respective position of the blower housing 11 and thus also the direction of flow 15 or 29 can be quickly recognized from the outside or the correct setting can be easily selected.

Description
- Fig. 1 Die Lüftungsvorrichtung perspektivisch mit Blick auf die Unterseite,
