Definitions

  • the invention relates to a sealing membrane according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • sealing strips of the type mentioned at the outset which have a multilayer structure, are often used.
  • the multilayer structure of these sealing membranes serves to meet higher quality requirements.
  • a sealing membrane of the generic type is known. This has two carrier inserts, between which a middle layer of unfilled bitumen is arranged. The outside of the carrier inlays are covered by a layer of filled bitumen. The layers used to embed the two carrier sheets thus consist of different bitumen material. The consequence of this is that the production of the sealing membrane known from DE-A-1 409 911 is relatively complex. This is because the first carrier insert must first be pre-impregnated and excess bitumen removed. The second carrier insert is then placed on top and the two outer sides of the carrier layers are provided with the outer layers of filled bitumen.
  • the sealing membrane according to the invention can be produced particularly simply because only two different materials , namely polymer bitumen and polyester material are to be joined together. Since all three layers continue to consist of the same polymer bitumen and also the carrier inserts consist of the same polyester material, the sealing membrane according to the invention has the same behavior in physical and chemical terms. In addition, the strengths of tensile loads add up, since the carrier inserts have the same elongation behavior. Furthermore, different expansions or shrinkages, in particular when exposed to temperature, are avoided. The polyester fleece of the carrier inlays enables very high strengths of the sealing membrane with high elasticity. Such carrier inserts are also resistant to moisture ingress. Finally, due to their same isotropic behavior.
  • the bitumen sealing sheet according to the invention is prevented from burning in the event of a fire, or at least is considerably inhibited.
  • the fire-retardant reinforcement is expediently designed as a mesh-like grid glass scrim which is arranged above the upper carrier insert, and in particular is preferably glued to the upper carrier insert.
  • the grid glass scrim prevents material from the upper bitumen layer, which is heated as a result of radiant heat from the outside, from passing through the bitumen sealing membrane into the interior of a building covered with it or the like. At the same time, the grid glass scrim also serves to stabilize the bitumen sealing membrane.
  • the bitumen sealing membrane shown in FIG. 1 consists of several layers of a bituminous covering, in particular polymer bitumen or bitumen copolymer. Several, namely two carrier inserts are embedded in these. This results in a layer structure such that a first or upper or outer carrier insert 12 made of polymer fibers, in particular polyester fleece, is embedded between an outer or upper bitumen layer 10 and a second, inner or middle bitumen layer 11. Between the middle bitumen layer 11 and the third, inner or lower bitumen layer 13 is the second, lower or inner carrier insert 14 made of the same material with the same structure as the carrier insert 12, that is to say in particular of polyester fleece.
  • the two carrier inserts 12 and 14 are dimensioned identically in the present exemplary embodiment, namely, as can be seen from FIG. 1, have approximately the same thickness or thickness.
  • the polyester fleece of the two carrier inserts 12 and 14 has different specific weights in the present exemplary embodiment, while the upper or outer carrier insert 12 is namely made of a polyester fleece with a specific weight of 200 g / m 2, the lower or inner carrier insert 14 has one Polyester fleece with a specific weight of 150 g / qm.
  • the individual layers of the bitumen waterproofing membrane shown in FIG. 1 have a special thickness ratio. Accordingly, the middle bitumen layer 11 is thinner than the two carrier layers 12 and 14 of approximately the same thickness here.
  • the upper or outer bitumen layer 10 is several times thicker than the middle bitumen layer 11.
  • the lower bitumen layer 13 is again thicker than the upper bitumen layer 10, namely here has approximately twice the thickness of the latter bitumen layer 10.
  • the two carrier inserts 12 and 14 can be dimensioned differently in terms of their thickness or thickness.
  • the upper carrier insert 12 preferably has a greater thickness than the lower carrier insert 14. It is also conceivable to form the upper and lower bitumen layers 10 and 13 approximately the same thickness.
  • surface protection in particular slate 15, is also applied to the upper or outer side, namely to the bitumen layer 10.
  • the slate 15 has the task of further increasing the UV resistance of the upper bitumen layer 10.
  • the lower or inner side of the bitumen layer 13 is also covered, specifically by a separating layer 16 which is pulled off before the bitumen sealing sheet is glued or is melted when the bitumen sealing sheet is welded.
  • the second exemplary embodiment of the bitumen sealing membrane shown in FIG. 2 differs from the above-described (first) exemplary embodiment in that the carrier inserts 12 and 14 lie together, that is to say there is no (middle) bitumen layer 11 between them.
  • Such a bitumen sealing membrane can be formed in that two separately prefabricated membranes, each with a carrier insert 12 or 14, are brought together and connected to the carrier inserts 12 and 14 in a suitable manner, for example by adhesive bonding. This can possibly form a thin middle layer between the carrier inserts 12 and 14, which is not shown or recognizable in FIG. 2.
  • the polyester fleece for the carrier inserts 12 and 14 is made of the outer bitumen layers 10 and 13 and, if appropriate, of completely soaked the middle bitumen layer 11.
  • a connection (gluing) of the same can also take place.
  • the third exemplary embodiment of the bitumen sealing membrane according to the invention shown in FIG. 3 differs from that of FIG. 1 by the lack of the upper covering layer, namely the slate 15. This can be omitted if the bitumen layers 10, 11 and 13 are UV radiation-insensitive material, for example plastomer bitumen, are produced.
  • the fourth exemplary embodiment of the bitumen sealing membrane according to the invention shown in FIG. 4 in contrast to that of the previous exemplary embodiments, is provided with a further reinforcement, namely a grid glass scrim 17.
  • this is arranged between the outer or upper bitumen layer 10 and the upper or outer carrier insert 12, specifically preferably connected to the carrier insert 12 by gluing or the like.
  • the grid glass scrim 17 is preferably designed like a net.
  • the strands consisting of glass or glass fiber-like material can have a diameter of approximately 0.5 mm. With this mesh-like design of the lattice glass fabric 17, it is connected to the carrier insert 12 predominantly in the area of the nodes of the strands or fibers.
