Definitions

  • the invention relates to a beacon for securing workplaces with a base plate and with a vertically arranged beacon sheet fastened in a recess thereof.
  • a beacon of this type is used to secure, guide traffic and cordon off workplaces, in particular road construction sites and to mark lanes and barriers in the work area.
  • the base plate must have a high level of stability.
  • the beacon sheet must on the one hand be sufficiently firmly connected to the base plate and, on the other hand, should yield sufficiently to be able to avoid a vehicle in the event of an impact.
  • the beacon sheet must not break.
  • the beacon sheet should be reusable after being deformed by an accident.
  • the object of the invention is such a construction of a beacon that it is stable and unbreakable on the one hand and thus does not pose a risk to traffic safety and that on the other hand the beacon sheet can be brought back into the form of use after deformation and is therefore reusable.
  • This object is achieved according to the invention in that the beacon sheet is a body made of a highly impact-resistant thermoplastic or elastomer-modified thermoplastic and has vertical sand profiles.
  • the invention differs from the prior art in that the beacon sheet is clamped on one side in the base plate and due to its high impact properties in the event of an impact can without breaking.
  • the beacon sheet can be restored to its original shape without being destroyed and can therefore be reused after damage.
  • the beacon sheet is unbreakable and therefore does not pose a risk to traffic safety.
  • the beacon sheet cannot detach from the base plate.
  • the beacon sheet can be made by injection molding or extrusion.
  • the edge profiles are designed as hollow profiles for receiving reinforcing elements. This allows the beacon sheet to be adapted to different requirements and load conditions.
  • the reinforcement elements can have predetermined breaking points in order to influence the behavior of the beacon blade.
  • the reinforcement elements can be easily removed so that they can be replaced after damage.
  • the edge profiles are designed as channel profiles that are open to the outside for receiving reinforcing elements. This makes it easy to replace the reinforcement elements.
  • the extension of the base plate is designed as a slot with eye-shaped end sections and with at least one transverse passage for a fastening element. This allows the beacon sheet to be clamped and held securely.
  • the clamping effect is improved in that the slotted walls have a comb-like profile.
  • the reinforcement elements are designed as tubes, rods or spring elements.
  • the spring elements can be coil springs. By appropriate dimensioning of the reinforcement elements you can gradually change the flexibility of the beacon sheet.
  • a warning light can be arranged such that a receptacle for a warning light is formed on the upper end of the beacon.
  • the warning light can be optionally connected to the beacon in that the receptacle for the warning light is formed in an attachment of the beacon.
  • a protected electrical connection of the warning light is ensured in that the connecting line for the warning light is arranged in an edge profile and that a battery is accommodated in the base plate.
  • the visibility of the beacon can be increased by the fact that reflecting elements in the color, shape and size of a warning light are arranged at the upper end of the beacon sheet. These can be provided in addition to or instead of the reflective film.
  • An additional reinforcement of the beacon sheet is possible in that the beacon sheet has foal cells. These hollow cells can accommodate reinforcing elements. This allows the elasticity or stiffness of the BaWenblatt to be set within wide limits. If the beacon sheet is bent or bent, the reinforcement elements initially retain their deformation due to their toughness, so that the beacon sheet does not spring back. This prevents damage caused by uncontrolled springback. However, the beacon sheet together with the reinforcing elements can be bent back into the original shape without being destroyed, so that the beacon sheet can still be used.
  • the reinforcement elements consist of a tough and flexible material. It can also be a ferrous metal or a non-ferrous metal.

  • Troughs 10 are formed at the upper corners, the walls of which, in the direction of travel, are equipped with a reflection coating or reflectors.
  • one or more inclined passages 11 are provided, which extend from the chamber 7 and cross the recess 4. The passages 11 serve to accommodate holders or other fastening elements 18 for the beacon sheet 2.
  • the beacon sheet 2 is shown in Fig. 4 on an enlarged scale in profile.
  • the beacon sheet 2 comprises a substantially flat central section 12 and on the longitudinal edges vertically aligned edge profiles 13, which are eye-shaped and have a longitudinal slot 14, so that the edge profiles 13 are open to the outside and the legs spring against each other.
  • the edge profiles 13 serve to stiffen the beacon sheet 2 and take reinforcing elements.
  • This can be tubes 15, rods or coil springs.
  • the pipes or rods increase the rigidity. Since the reinforcement elements have a certain brittleness, they break under load. However, this is not harmful since the high-impact edge profile holds the fragments in place.
  • a helical spring as a reinforcing element can increase the flexibility of the beacon blade.
  • an electrical connection line 16 can be guided through an edge profile 13.
  • Hollow cells 23 can be formed within the central section 12 in the longitudinal direction of the beacon sheet. This can influence the rigidity of the beacon sheet. These can also be hollow cells 23 record reinforcing elements 22. Rods or tubes made of ferrous metal, non-ferrous metal or alloys are suitable as reinforcing elements 22. These reinforcing elements can be co-extruded with the beacon sheet. If the beacon blade and the reinforcement elements are bent, the deformation initially remains due to the toughness of the reinforcement elements. However, the reinforcement elements can be bent back into the original shape together with the beacon sheet.
  • the edge profiles 13 can also have a different shape.
  • a T-shaped or Y-shaped profile can be provided.
  • the substantially flat surface of the central section 12 of the beacon sheet 2 is covered with a highly reflective reflective film 17, in particular glued on.
  • the receptacle for the reflective film 17 has recessed edge steps 21 in order to mechanically protect the reflective film 17.
  • the beacon sheet 2 can be pressed into the recess 4 and is clamped between the webs 6.
  • the passages 11 take fasteners 18 so that the batten 2 is firmly connected to the base plate 1.
  • the invention provides an attachment 1 ° which can be attached to the beacon sheet 2 in the manner shown in FIG. 1. Connection elements (not shown) within the edge profiles 13 are used for the connection.
  • the attachment 19 contains a receptacle for a warning light 20.
  • the connecting line 15 for the warning light 20 is laid within an edge profile 13 and leads to the camper 7, in which a battery is located.
