Abstract
1325086 Warning lamp DORMAN SMITH TRAFFIC PRODUCTS Ltd 12 May 1972 [21 May 1971] 16472/71 Heading F4R A warning lamp for use on roadways or marking runwavs or an illuminated road-sign has a hollow post 12 which serves as a support for lens elements 14 and as a housing for batteries 42, and has a metal strip 11 which holds the batteries. A flasher unit 40 and a switch 32 are provided, the switch being accessible only through an aperture in the post. The lens elements 14 are located in position by a tube 16 with lugs 28 and 29 from the strips 22 and 11 respectively resting on the top of the post 12. The tube 16 is secured to the post 12 by a bolt 51 having a recessed head. The lower end of the post 12 has a metal rod (56, Fig. 1, not shown) at right-angles to the post and is set in a block of concrete (57).
