Definitions
- the invention relates to a self-supporting tent, in particular for roofing small private planes, with a roof skin and optionally side walls made of, for example, a textile material, which cover or surround a frame made of a roof structure and side posts.
- Aircraft are stored in hangars today. These hangars are usually larger halls that are permanently connected to the ground and that accommodate several aircraft. Such parking spaces require official approval and are usually quite expensive. Since there is usually not enough parking space for all machines at an airport, they must be left outdoors. So they are the weather exposed, so that not only the aircraft body, but especially the expensive electronics can easily suffer damage. Apart from that, hangars repeatedly damage machines already parked when new machines are brought in.
- tent-like structures For other vehicles, but also in completely different fields of application, such as for larger celebrations, tent-like structures are known, the side posts of which are connected to the ground via tensioning ropes and pegs. These tension ropes form tripping ropes and have in the past led to serious injuries to people.
- the roof skin is placed on a roof structure in known tent-like structures. For example, when it rains, troughs form in the roof membrane, which not only adversely affects the entire statics of the tent, but can also lead to tearing of the roof membrane.
- the inventor has set itself the goal of developing a tent of the type mentioned above, which does not need any side tensioning ropes, but still has very high stability. In addition, the entire interior of the tent should be usable without restriction.
- the solution is that the side posts are connected with binders and the roof structure has a tensioning device for tensioning the roof skin.
- the binders provide high lateral stability, so that the tent does not collapse even during a storm.
- the side posts only have to be connected to the ground using ground anchors.
- the tensioning device serves to improve the lateral stability on the one hand and to prevent the tub from forming in the roof skin on the other.
- a front binder preferably consists of an upper and a lower support rod, which are connected to one another via struts. Both support rods are also preferably articulated to the side posts. Articulated connection in this case means the possibility of moving the tie in the horizontal direction.
- the roof scaffolding in turn consists of individual scaffolding poles that have a common node and are articulated to the side posts.
- connection of all parts of the inner frame i.e. the side posts, trusses and scaffolding poles of the roof scaffolding are made so that the connection can be easily removed.
- the connection of each individual element is preferably carried out via a pivot pin. In the position of use, this pivot pin passes through two sleeves fixed on one part, between which a further sleeve engages fixed on the other part.
- the production of the tent has a particularly advantageous effect if the individual parts are designed as similarly as possible. This is especially true for the upper and, if applicable, for the lower support rods of the trusses and the scaffold rods, which have the same length.
- the tent is designed as a pentagon, the front binder showing a maximum span which is slightly above the span of the plane to be set. With the same length of the other trusses and scaffolding poles, a pentagon is reached and an abscissa is formed in which the aircraft head can be accommodated.
- a threaded sleeve protrudes in the node, which is penetrated by a threaded rod or spindle.
- This threaded rod can be moved, for example, via a torque crank in the threaded sleeve.
- a head sleeve should sit loosely on the threaded rod, protrude from the tabs on which the roof skin is attached. If the threaded rod is moved in direction X, it takes the roof skin with it and tensions it as a result. This tensioning is further improved if ridges are pulled into the roof skin, which are connected on the one hand to the side posts and on the other hand with hooks and the tabs.
- terminals are used as hoes, which are known from sailing. These terminals are inserted into an elongated hole with a hammer head and fixed by turning them by approximately .90 °. In the present case, the hammer head of the terminal passes through a loop of the wire rope and an elongated hole in the roof strip or the tab.
- the entire tent according to the invention can be produced in a very simple manner with relatively few individual parts and therefore cheaply. Its assembly and disassembly also follows easily and quickly. Its stability is extremely cheap.
- side posts 1 are arranged in a pentagon according to FIGS. In the position of use, the side posts are fixed in a corresponding base 3 by means of floor anchors 2.
- the two front side posts 1 are connected by a truss 4, partially shown in FIG. 4, which has the largest span 1.
- the other side posts 1 are connected to one another and to the front side posts 1 by means of ties 5 of the same length s.
- Scaffolding bars 6 also have the same length s, which are articulated on the one hand on the side posts 1 and converge roof-shaped to a common node.
- These scaffolding poles 6 form the roof scaffolding 9 together with a pole which strikes the truss 4 approximately perpendicularly.
- a threaded sleeve 10 runs approximately perpendicular, which is penetrated by a tensioning device 11.
- the structure of the tensioning device is described in more detail in FIG. 6.
- a roof skin 12 for example made of textile material, is brought from a relaxed position 12a shown in broken lines into a tensioned position 12b shown in broken lines.
- the side walls of the tent are formed by mats, for example textile material.
- FIG 3 the articulated connection between an upper support rod 14 of the binder 5, an upper support rod 15 of the binder 4 and a scaffold rod 6 with a side post 1 is shown.
- upper and lower hinge sleeves 16 and 17 (FIGS. 4 and 5) are welded to the side post 1.
- a sleeve 18 is inserted between both hinge sleeves 16 and 17 and all three sleeves 16, 17 and 18 are connected via a bolt 19. This creates a swivel.
- a tongue 20 is welded to the sleeve 18, which engages in a slot 21 in the end face 22 of the scaffold rod 6 or the upper and lower support rods 14 and 15 and is fastened there.
- the dashed line in FIG. 3 also shows the connection between two upper support rods 14 of FIG Binders 5.
- the dashed line in FIG. 3 also indicates the connection at the node 7 by the scaffolding rods 6 and the rod 8.
- the threaded sleeve 10 is arranged in the middle.
- the binder 4 consists of the upper support rod 15 and a lower support rod 24, which are connected to one another by struts 25.
- Upper support rod 15 and lower support rod 24 have a connection to a common sleeve 18a, which engages between the upper hinge sleeve 16 and the lower hinge sleeve 17 of the side post 1.
- the binder 5 consists only of the upper support rod 14, which is clamped between two side posts 1.
- support struts 26 extend approximately from the center of the upper support rod 14 to the foot region of the side posts 1, which are connected there to the side post 1 by a hinge connection 27.
- This hinge connection 27 also consists of a corresponding bushing bolt.
- the support struts 26 are connected to the upper support rod 14.
- the tensioning device 11 for tensioning the roof skin 12 comprises the threaded sleeve 10 with the upper and lower hinge sleeves 16 and 17 attached to it, between which the sleeve 18 engages with the tongue 20 for connecting the scaffolding rods 6.
- the scaffolding rods 6 form an angle w to, for example, the lower hinge sleeve 17, which is less than 90 °.
- the threaded sleeve 10 is from a threaded rod 29 enforced, which can be rotated by means of a torque crank 30. As a result, the threaded rod 29 is moved in the direction x.
- the threaded rod 29 has a head sleeve 31 in which the threaded rod 29 rotates freely.
- a plurality of freely projecting tabs 32 which are connected to one another via roof strips 33, are formed on this head sleeve 31.
- five lugs 32 are provided, hooks 34 being fixed on each lug 32 or the roof strip 33, into each of which a ridge rope 35 which extends through the roof skin can be hung. This ridge rope 35 is not shown attached to a side post 1 at the other.
- a terminal is provided which passes through an eyelet of the ridge cable 35 and is inserted into an elongated hole in the roof strip 33 running in the direction of the ridge cable 35, and is then rotated through approximately 90 °.
