Definitions

  • the invention relates to a refill for large-format tablets with an essentially box-shaped or cuboid-shaped tablet storage container that is open on a narrow side.
  • Large-format tablets are powder compacts with a volume that significantly exceeds the usual dimensions of tablets used in medicine.
  • the refill pack should preferably be used in the household area for care, cleaning agents and disinfectants in tablet form.
  • Known forms of packaging for care, cleaning agents and disinfectants in tablet form used in the household area are, for example, tubes, boxes, cans, blister packs and blister packs.
  • skin contact usually occurs. This is harmful and should be avoided if there are products with a high proportion of acidic alkalis, disinfectants, color pigments, fragrances and the like.
  • problems also arise when handling washing boosters that have recently been developed in the form of large-format tablets, which are not placed in the metering chamber like the usual detergent, but rather directly in the machine room before or after loading the washing machine with dirty laundry. In all cases, not only should skin contact be avoided, but it must also be ensured that the aggressive products do not reach small children.
  • a dosing dispenser for tablet-shaped products is already described in DE-OS 3 143 953.
  • This device consists of a tablet storage container and a metering slide that can be attached to it with the help of a locking adapter. With the help of the known metering dispenser, one tablet after the other can be removed from the storage container and operated for the intended use simply by actuating the slide and without touching the hand.
  • the disadvantage of the relatively complex design of the device it is disadvantageous that childproofing is not provided.
  • This container with dosing aid for powder compacts consists of a flexible, transparent plastic tube with bottom and a removable lid.
  • the tube has a cross section adapted to the individual tablets and a length corresponding to the maximum tablet supply.
  • Child-resistant packaging has long been used for aggressive household cleaners in powder or granule form.
  • child protection is designed to protect against misuse by infants aged 42 to 51 months.
  • a child-resistant refill pack has already been developed and described in DE-GM 8 336 161. However, this pack does not allow a perfect dosage.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a child-resistant refill for large-format tablets, which in addition to the child safety also ensures the possibility of proportioned product removal and also introducing the tablets into the metering chamber of the machine without skin contact with the product.
  • the refill should also be refillable from the respective sales unit without skin contact with the respective product.
  • the lid which is to consist of an elastically deformable material, can only be removed by simultaneously unlocking the cams and pulling the lid out of the container; the ge The length of the cover on the opposite side of the bar can be made so large that the span between the thumb and forefinger of a toddler and the force to unlock the locking cams at the same time is greater than the children of critical age. So there is child safety not only due to the requirement of overlapping movements - pushing and pulling - but also due to the geometry of the lid to be opened.
  • the lid according to the invention is not only to be secured on the container in a child-resistant manner but also has the function of a metering aid which is typically adapted to the tablet shape of the product to be handled; the webs which are to be pressed elastically against one another for unlocking can in fact be used at the same time for tongs-like grasping and lifting out of tablets lying on the cover.
  • the function of the forceps-like dosing aid can be used both for filling the refill pack and for dosing tablets from the refill pack, e.g. in the respective machine.
  • the storage container is divided by at least one partition wall parallel to the perforated container side surfaces into chambers of the same size for receiving several superimposed layers of tablets lying flat against one another, the respective partition wall ending below the lower edge of the topmost tablet layer.
  • This structure ensures that the tablets cannot essentially rub against each other before use and that in the uppermost layer they have to be pushed together for an effective effect of the forceps movement because of the missing partition.
  • it is expedient to specify the amount of tablets per layer of a metering aid accordingly.
  • the top plate of the lid of the storage container should have a length corresponding to the length of a tablet layer and a width corresponding to the thickness of a tablet layer.
  • the dimensions should be chosen so that the width of the top plate is slightly smaller than the clear width of the opening of the storage container to be closed with the lid.
  • the webs formed on the head plate are to become narrower in width trapezoidal to the width of the abutment corresponding to the locking cam provided on the web end.
  • the locking cam on each web can be designed as a wedge-shaped shoulder on the bottom edge of the web.
  • the wall thickness of the longitudinal ends of the webs corresponding to the length of the tablets to be packaged may be tapered toward the longitudinal end of the web, so that a wedge-shaped bevel is also formed on the inner surface of the web facing the tablets, which leads to the insertion into the filled storage container facilitated.
  • the length of the head part and the angle between the head part and the integrally formed webs is preferably designed such that an insertion into the storage container is only possible with a certain preload of the webs relative to the head part and the locking cams provided on the web ends upon relaxation and reaching the associated abutment snap it into place.
  • the relative position is to be provided in such a way that the outer end face of the top plate of the lid is positioned below the upper edge of the storage container.
  • the abutment assigned to the locking cams of the cover webs is designed as a preferably slot-shaped opening in the side wall of the container.
  • the abutments assigned to the two web cams should be exactly opposite. Instead of openings, web-like undercuts can preferably also be provided on the side walls of the container.
  • the filled, generally designated 1 refill consists of a lower part 2 and a lid 3 and a pair or unpaired number of tablets 4 in several layers, e.g. in the form of cylindrical pellets or compactates.
  • the lower part, designated overall by 2 is formed according to FIG. 2 from a box-shaped storage container 5 which is open on one side.
  • the storage container 5 is divided into chambers 7 of equal size by at least one partition 6.
  • the height of the partition 6 is determined by the thickness or the diameter of the tablets 4 to be packed;
  • the partition 6 basically ends below the lower edge of the uppermost layer of tablets 4.
  • the length and width of the chambers 7 are dimensioned such that the tablets 4 move up and down loosely without jamming are.
  • an approximately semicircular bulge 9 with thumb or finger width is provided at the upper end.
  • the section shown in FIG. 3 through a lid 3 shows a head plate 12 with webs 13 formed at both ends at an angle of slightly less than 90 °.
  • the width of the head plate 12 is selected to be slightly smaller than the clear width of the storage container 5.
  • the webs 13 of the head plate 12 are roof-shaped or trapezoidal in width Mig narrowing down to the width of the respective opening 11 of the side surfaces 8.
  • wedge-shaped tapering locking cams 15 are formed toward the lower web edge 14, the width of which, not shown, is selected to be slightly smaller than the width of the abutment - in this case openings 11.
  • the wall thickness of the webs 13, the length of which should correspond approximately to the diameter of the tablets 4, will taper in the lower region, so that a wedge-shaped bevel 16 is formed on the inside of the lid.
  • the length of the head plate 12 measured between the two webs 13 is designed such that it is possible to insert the cover 3 into the storage container 5 with webs 13 pressed together in the direction 17 and the cams 15 when the openings 11 are reached and the pretension is released in the direction of the arrow 17 , snap into the openings.
  • the outer end face of the head plate 12 of the lid 3 is to be positioned below the upper edge 18 of the storage container 5.
  • the refill pack according to the invention is operated in the following way:
  • the childproof refill pack is designed to hold a specified amount of product.
  • the cover 3 is first removed.
  • the webs 13 or their cams 15 are unlocked by lateral compression in the region of the bulges 9 of the side surfaces 8.
  • the lid 3 can now be used like a pair of pliers for gripping two tablets 4 from a sales unit in the exemplary embodiment and inserting them into the storage container 5, so that the lower part 2 can be filled with product without skin contact.
  • the cover 3 After overcoming the pre-tension of the cover 3 with respect to the internal masses of the lower part 2 caused by the not quite right-angled bending of the webs 13 and the protruding cams 15, the cover 3 can be pushed into the filled lower part 2. This process is facilitated on the one hand by the lower edge 14 of the web ending with the bevels 16 and on the other hand by the lack of a partition 6 in the area of the uppermost tablet layer. Because of the lack of a dividing wall, the tablets 4 of the uppermost layer can yield to the middle of the tablet layer by an amount corresponding to the dividing wall thickness.
  • the cover 3 When the refill pack 1 is closed, the cover 3 is pushed into the lower part until the cams 15 engage visibly and / or audibly in the openings 11 due to the resilience of the elastic material used.
  • the refill pack 1 prepared in this way is childproof, because the span between the thumb and forefinger and the force to unlock the cams 15 are greater than are available to children of critical age.
