- the present invention relates to a device for generating directed liquid flows, whether these liquids are pure substances, solutions or mixtures of different liquids, suspensions, liquors or fluids of a similar nature.
- Devices for generating directed liquid flows are known in large numbers and are distributed over a wide variety of classes of devices and are used for a wide variety of purposes. Two groups can be distinguished in terms of their intended use: either the device sets the liquid in motion and the device remains essentially stationary, in which case the devices are pumped; or the device is mounted on a carrier device which is movable with respect to the liquid, so as a rule both the liquid and the carrier device are set in motion, then it is the drive of a water vehicle. Similar devices are used for both purposes - for pumping liquids and for driving " watercraft " : propellers and screws of various designs, but also mill wheel-like devices with paddles which are immersed in the liquid.
