Definitions
- the invention relates to a winding device for strand-like winding material, in which a winding drum is rotatably mounted on a fixed housing part and is coupled to a return spring that can be tensioned when the material to be wound is pulled, in which device a wrap spring that comes into brake engagement with a part connected to the winding drum is provided as a braking element is fixed with one end to the fixed housing part and the other end is rotatable via an actuator in the sense of canceling the braking effect.
- Such a winding device is known from US-PS 33 23 750.
- a housing provided with an axle sleeve and receiving the take-up drum is provided.
- the housing is pivotally arranged with its axle sleeve on an axle pin which is held by two opposite side walls of a support frame.
- the axle sleeve has an outer diameter which corresponds to the inner diameter of the drum hub, so that this area forms the bearing for the drum.
- the diameter of the axle sleeve is reduced over the remaining length, so that there is an annular gap between the drum hub and the axle sleeve, into which a wrap spring is inserted.
- the wrap spring is dimensioned such that it rests against the inner wall of the drum hub in the idle state and that it tries to enlarge its diameter when the drum rotates in the unwinding direction and thereby blocks the drum in the unwinding direction.
- the wrap spring has an axially projecting pin. One of the pins engages in the area of the larger sleeve diameter formed axial recess and the other pin in an opening provided in the side wall of the support frame.
- the housing In order to be able to turn the drum in the unwinding direction, the housing must be pivoted against the unwinding direction of the drum. By such a pivoting movement of the housing, the axle sleeve connected to the housing is also pivoted, whereby the pin of the wrap spring projecting into the recess of the axle sleeve is carried along. This twisting of the pin pulls the wrap spring together so that its diameter becomes somewhat smaller and the wrap spring no longer abuts the inner wall of the drum hub. The drum hub can now turn freely.
- the winding device described in said US-PS 33 23 750 is intended for a seat belt. Although it is said in this patent specification that such a winding device can also be used for cables, there is no information as to how the winding device must be designed for such an application.
- the invention has for its object to constructively redesign such a winding device so that it can be used as a cable winder.
- the wrap spring is arranged on the outer circumference of an axially projecting ring extension on the side wall of the winding drum adjacent to the fixed housing part, the inside diameter of the wrap spring being slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the ring extension, in addition that the other end of the wrap spring is coupled to a disk which is rotatably arranged on the housing part and which can be rotated by means of a displaceably arranged plunger in the sense of increasing the diameter of the wrap spring.
- a safe loosening of all turns of the wrap spring when turning the other end is achieved in that a hollow hub is formed over the wrap spring with little radial play. Without such a hollow hub surrounding the wrap spring, there is a risk that only the turns adjacent to the other end will lift off the ring shoulder when this end is rotated.
- the hollow hub allows only a radial expansion corresponding to the small radial play for the turns adjacent to the other end. As a result, the. diameter twisting inevitably brought about by twisting the other end onto the other turns, so that all turns experience an increase in diameter.
- a favorable embodiment for the assembly of the winding device results from the fact that circular disk-shaped guide slots are formed on the disk, the arc length of which is greater than the angle of rotation of the disk and that an opening is provided at least at one end of each slot, the dimensions of which are adapted to the size of holding heads are, which sit opposite the wall of the housing part at a distance corresponding to the thickness of the disc on the ends of guide members arranged on the housing part.
- the disc only needs to be placed on the guide members. Because the guide slots are longer than the adjustment path of the disk, the disk can be rotated somewhat so that the holding heads reach the area of the guide slots and thus hold the disk rotatably on the housing part.
- Fig. 1 in Fig. 1 denotes a fixed housing part on which an axle 2 is formed, on which a winding drum 3 is rotatably mounted.
- a return spring 6 designed as a roller spring is arranged on the free end of the ring extension 5.
- a wrap spring 7 on the ring shoulder 5 which serves as a braking element.
- One radially projecting end 8 of the wrap spring 7 engages in a slot 9 formed on the housing part 1 and is thus fixed against rotation.
- the other end 10 of the wrap spring is angled axially and engages in a longitudinal bore 11 which is provided on a disk 12 which is rotatably arranged on the housing part 1.
- the disk 12 is coupled to a plunger 13 which is displaceably attached to the housing part 1 and can be pivoted by actuating this plunger 13.
- a hollow hub 14 is also formed on the disk 12, which surrounds the wrap spring 7 with a small radial play 15.
- the tappet 13 is seated in a guide groove 16 provided on the housing part 1.
- the crossbar 17 bridging the guide trough 16 and protrusions 18 (FIG. 4) secure the tappet 13 in the guide trough 16.
- the disk 12 In order to be able to fasten the disk 12 in a simple manner on the housing part 1 in a rotatable manner, it has circular-arc-shaped guide slots 19 (FIG. 3). At one end, the guide slots open into a circular opening 20. The diameter of these openings 20 is selected to be somewhat larger than the diameter of holding heads 21 which are arranged on guide members 22 formed on the housing part 1 (FIG. 4). The holding heads 21 are at a distance 23 from the wall of the housing part 1 (FIG. 5), which is adapted to the thickness of the disk 12.
- the disc 12 is placed with the openings 20 over the holding heads 21.
- the guide slots 19 pass under the holding heads 21.
- the disk 12 can thus be attached to the housing part 1 in a simple manner.
- the arc length of the guide slots 19 is selected to be greater than the arc length of the angle of rotation by which the disk 12 is rotated to release the wrap spring 8. This ensures that the openings 20 cannot reach below the holding heads 21 when the disk 12 is rotated.
- the disk 12 has a sector-shaped cutout 24.
- the housing part 1 slot 9 which accommodates a spring end 8 of the Schlin g. 7
- a radial slot 26 extends to the peripheral edge 27 of the disk 12.
- a nipple formed on the plunger 13 engages in this radial slot 26. The plunger 13 is thus coupled to the disk 12 in the simplest way.
- the winding direction of the wrap spring 7 is such that when the cable wound on the winding drum 3 is pulled off, the turns of the wrap spring 7 expand in the direction indicated by an arrow 28 (FIG. 2). So that the braking effect of the wrap spring 7 is canceled and the cable can be removed.
- the return spring 6 tries to turn the winding drum 3 in the opposite direction. Due to the friction between the wrap spring 7 and the ring extension 5, the wrap spring 7 is contracted and its windings are pressed onto the ring extension 5. This prevents the take-up drum from rotating in the take-up direction.
- the winding of the cable is initiated by pressing the plunger 13.
- the linear movement of the plunger 13 is converted into a rotational movement by the disk 12.
- the disk 12 transmits this twisting movement to the end of the wrap spring 7 projecting into the longitudinal bore 11.
- the wrap spring 7 is expanded and releases the winding drum 3 for winding the cable.
- the return spring 6 can now rotate the winding drum 3 in the winding direction.
- the wrap spring 7 is arranged in the hollow hub 14. Because of the small radial play 15 of the hollow hub 14, the windings adjacent to the end 10 of the wrap spring 7 come into contact with the hollow hub 14 after a slight rotation of the end 10. Since these windings can no longer be widened, if the end 10 is rotated further, the windings further from the end 10 widen. Thus, by arranging the wrap spring 7, a reliable cancellation of the braking effect is achieved.
- the rewinder is particularly suitable for installation in the housing of electrically operated devices, e.g. Vacuum cleaners, since a straight-line actuation direction is required to release the brake element in such an installation.
- electrically operated devices e.g. Vacuum cleaners

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1 eine Kabelaufwickelvorrichtung im Längsschnitt,
- Fig. 5 die Anordnung eines Führungsstiftes mit Haltekopf im Schnitt.
