Definitions

  • the invention relates to a punched knitting tool for knitting or warp knitting machines, the shaft of which has at least one foot and at least two guide parts which run continuously from the upper edge of the shaft to the lower edge of the shaft, one of which is arranged below the foot, adjacent guide parts each having at least one narrow web of at most 1 , 1 mm height are connected, through which a free space is limited together with the guide parts.
  • Knitting tools of this type are known in two embodiments, in particular from DE-C-28 20 925 and from DE-A-30 14 751.
  • the foot of the respective knitting tool is coupled to the shaft via at least one very easily bendable section, so that the entire knitting tool vibrates strongly damped and the impact energy exerted on the foot can be converted into bending work.
  • the arrangement of the knitting tools described in DE-C-28 20 925 is such that at least one web section is provided between the head and the foot, which has a length of at least 8 mm and a height of at most 1.1 mm . The smaller the web height and the longer the low-sized web section, the lower, as has been found, the frequency of head breaks.
  • the web in addition to the web connecting the two guide parts and arranged above the back of the shaft, the web has a height of at most 1 , 1 mm, a lower web of approximately the same height is provided along the back of the shaft.
  • the gap between the upper and lower web, which forms a free space, can be divided by at least one connecting piece into longitudinal sections of at least 8 mm in length.
  • the object of the invention is therefore, in the case of a punched knitting tool, in which, in the manner described, a very easily bendable coupling of the foot to the shaft is achieved by a web or a plurality of webs, the height of which is at most 1.1 mm, to improve the stability and the service life, in particular even at even higher knitting speeds, without adversely affecting the advantageous properties of these knitting tools mentioned.
  • the arrangement is such that the free space or free spaces is or are filled with a vibration-damping material which is firmly connected to the needle shaft.
  • a needle with such a solid needle shaft cannot be compared in terms of its vibration behavior to a needle in which the needle foot is coupled to the shaft via at least a narrow web of at most 1.1 mm in height, ie a very slightly flexible section.
  • the vibration-damping material is advantageously an elastic plastic material with high damping properties. However, it can also be another suitable material, for example a metal or a metal alloy. As a rule, the vibration-damping material is arranged in alignment with the adjoining side surfaces of the shaft, so that smooth, uninterrupted side surfaces of the shaft result. In special cases, however, it can also be expedient if the vibration-damping material is set back on at least one side with respect to the side surfaces of the shaft. This can be of importance, for example, if the thickness of the material layer used in the respective free space is selected to be thinner than the surrounding shaft material with regard to the damping properties.
  • the tongue needles shown in the figures each have a head or hook 1, to which a neck 2 adjoins, which merges into the needle face 3, in the area of which a longitudinal slot is arranged in the usual manner, in which a needle tongue 4 is pivotally mounted .
  • the tongue bearing is indicated at 5.
  • the shaft 7 Connected to the throat designated 6 is the shaft 7, which carries a needle foot 8 and which can additionally (see FIG. 3) be provided with a pattern foot 9.
  • a guide part 10 which extends from the upper edge of the shaft to the lower edge of the shaft and is delimited by two broken lines in FIG. 1 for better clarity.
  • a corresponding continuous guide part is also provided in the embodiment according to FIG. 3 below the pattern foot 9.
  • a second such guide part 10 which is, however, much narrower, adjoins the throat 6.
  • an elastic vibration-damping material 13 is arranged, which is firmly connected to the shaft material surrounding it.
  • This vibration-damping material is in particular a plastic material; however, other elastic materials, including metals, for example aluminum, can also be used for this purpose.
  • FIGS. 2, 3 differs from that according to FIG. 1 only in that several elongated free spaces 11 are formed in the shaft 7, each of which is delimited at the top and bottom by a web 12, the height of which is at most 1.1 mm, while the lateral limitation of the free spaces 12 is always carried out by two guide parts 10. Each of the free spaces 11 is again filled with the vibration-damping material 13.
  • the width dimensions of the guide part 10 adjacent to the throat 6 measured in the longitudinal direction of the needle shaft correspond approximately to the height of a web 12.
  • each of the free spaces 11 provided in the needle shaft 7 is not closed, but is open at the edge, and is arranged in such a way that it faces the lower edge of the shaft 7, i. H. to the back of the shaft, opens.
  • Each free space 11 is in turn connected on its upper side by a narrow web 12 of a maximum of 1.1 mm in height and delimited on both sides by a guide part 10, the guide part 10 adjacent to the throat 6, as illustrated in the drawing, approximately in its width dimension Height of the subsequent web 12 corresponds.
  • Each free space 11 is filled with the vibration-damping material 13, which is firmly connected to the edge of the shaft material.
  • the shaft 7 is provided with open spaces 11 which are open at the edge, but which are arranged such that alternately one free space 11 is always located on the upper edge and the other on the lower edge of the shaft 7.
  • the free spaces 11 are also separated from one another here by guide parts 10 extending from the upper edge of the shaft to the lower edge of the shaft and delimited by webs 12, the height of which is at most 1.1 mm.
  • the remaining guide parts 10 are designed with a width approximately corresponding to the height of the narrow webs 12.
  • the free spaces 11 also contain vibration-damping elastic material 13 which is firmly connected to the edge of the shaft material.
  • the vibration-damping material 13 inserted into the free spaces 11 is generally aligned with the adjoining side surfaces of the shaft 7. In order to influence its damping properties, it can also be set back on at least one side with respect to the side surfaces of the shaft 7, as is indicated at 14 in FIG.
  • the shaft 7 in front of and behind the guide part 10 arranged under the foot 8 each has such an open space 11, while in the embodiment according to FIG. 8 the open spaces 11 lie in front of the foot 8 and how mentioned, the two adjacent webs 12 connecting guide parts 10 has a width approximately corresponding to the web height (ie at most 1.1 mm).
