Definitions
- synthetic fibers in particular polyester fibers
- disperse dyes from aqueous liquors.
- the pull-out process can be divided into two variants.
- the first variant you dye at cooking temperature.
- the drawability of the dye on the fiber is not sufficient. Therefore, dyeing accelerators (so-called carriers) are added to the dyeing liquors, which promote the absorption of the dyes in such a way that color-deep dyeings are obtained.
- the dyeing temperature is increased above the boiling point of the water, usually at 110 - 130 ° C. This enables the disperse dyes to diffuse into the fiber without the carriers mentioned being required for drawing up.
- Such products can be carriers or leveling carriers, leveling agents with a carrier effect or leveling agents with anionic, nonionic or cationic structure.
- the nonionic compounds have become important from the range of surfactants, especially the alkylphenols with different degrees of oxyethylation.
- these products can reduce the fastness properties of the dyes, especially the fastness to light. They also often cause a retardation, i.e. the full yield of all dye components is not achieved. It is therefore difficult to reproduce the dyeings. They also promote the tendency of disperse dyes to crystallize and can give rise to incorrect colorations when the temperature fluctuates or when the dye liquor cools down unexpectedly.
- level dyeings on synthetic fibers in particular on polyester fibers and their mixtures with natural fibers, can be obtained both under unfavorable dyeing conditions and when using irregularly dyeing textile material with disperse dyes by the exhaust process at temperatures between 90 and 140 ° C.
- the invention thus relates to a process for the uniform dyeing of synthetic fibers, especially polyester fibers or their mixtures with natural fibers with disperse dyes, dyeing in the presence of a leveling agent in the form of a mixture consisting of ethoxylated unsaturated carboxylic acids having 12 to 18 carbon atoms with a content from 10 to 40 units of ethylene oxide and sulfosuccinic acid half-esters of oxyalkylated polynuclear alkylphenols of the general formula 1 in the R a rest or X is ethylene and or propylene groups and R 1 is a saturated straight-chain or branched alkyl radical having 6 to 14 carbon atoms and in which Y is hydrogen or has the same meaning as R and n is from 2 to 25, Z is from 1 to 9 and Me stands for a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom or an equivalent of an alkaline earth metal atom.
- the unsaturated fatty acids contain 12 to 18 carbon atoms, such as oleic acid.
- the term "unsaturated fatty acids” is also intended to include unsaturated hydroxy fatty acids, such as ricinoleic acid.
- the content of ethylene oxide groups is above 10 and is preferably 20 to 40 ethylene oxide groups.
- the ethylene oxide can also be partially replaced by propylene oxide.
- the oxyalkylated unsaturated fatty acids are mixed with sulfonic succinic acid semi-esters of oxyalkylated polynuclear alkylphenols of the formula given above.
- the manufacture of these products is described in German Offenlegungsschrift 2 132 405.
- the weight ratio of the two components ranges from 2: 1 to 20: 1.
- This mixture is added to the dyeing liquor in amounts of 0.1-5, preferably 0.3 to 3 g / l and the dyeings at 90-140 ° C., preferably performed between 105 and 130 ° C. It is irrelevant whether the two components of the mixture are added separately to the dyeing liquor or whether the mixture of the two components is first prepared.
- auxiliaries used according to the invention it is also possible to use dyes which, hitherto, owing to their individual behavior. B. could not be used for the coloring of packages.
- the mixture of auxiliaries harmonizes the absorption behavior of the dyes used. Even with the use of three or even four dyes in combination dyeings, no consideration needs to be given to the individual mounting phases. Above all, this is a considerable advantage in the widespread rapid dyeing process.
- the dyebaths are prepared in a customary manner at 40-60 ° C., adjusted to pH 5-6 and 0.1-5 g / l of the auxiliary described are added. After the addition of the predispersed water-insoluble disperse dye, the mixture is heated to the required dyeing temperature and dyed during the usual dyeing period. The coloring is completed as usual, e.g. B. by reductive post-cleaning.
- the dyeing liquors are brought to the required dyeing temperature of 105 - 130 ° C, as usual, with the addition of the specified amount of auxiliaries. Then they are allowed to flow very quickly into the dyeing apparatus containing the material to be dyed. The dye fixation is absolutely even.
- a process variant consists in first treating the material to be dyed with the liquor which has been adjusted to pH 5-6 and contains the required amount of auxiliaries at 130 ° C. and only then introduces the predispersed dye solution into the high-temperature dyeing apparatus.
- the auxiliary mixture according to the invention has a high migration-promoting property. This results in a high level of balance of the disperse dyes used, i. H. a migration of the already fixed dye into the dye bath and a subsequent reattachment of the dye to the fiber. In this way, even colorations (false colors) can be compensated.
- the mixture was then heated from 70 ° C. to 130 ° C. in the course of 30 minutes and stained at this temperature for 30 minutes.
- the flow rate of the liquor through the packages was 20 I / kg per minute.
- the direction of circulation from inside to outside was changed after 1 minute and from outside to inside after every 3 minutes.
- After a treatment time of 30 minutes at 130 ° C. the mixture was cooled as usual, the liquor was drained and rinsed once hot (75 ° C.) and once cold. After rinsing, completely uneven, spotty dyeings were obtained.
- a new liquor was then prepared, adjusted to pH 5 and 2 g / l of an auxiliary mixture added in the form of an aqueous solution containing 25 parts of ricinoleic acid / ethylene oxide adduct with 40 units of ethylene oxide and 10 parts of the nonylphenol novolak according to Example No. 7 from DE-PS 2 132 405 (35%).
- the liquor was brought to 130 ° C. in 20 minutes and the package was treated at this temperature for 60 minutes.
- the mixture was then cooled and rinsed as usual. After this treatment, the cheese showed a completely level coloring.
Description
- 0,23 % Disperse-Yellow 64 C.I. 47023
- 0,52 % Disperse-Red 60 C.I. 60756
- und 0,17 % einer Farbstoffmischung
- folgender Zusammensetzung
- 55 %
- 45%
