Definitions
- the invention relates to the use of a knee joint drive in forging and forming presses, utilizing the two strokes achieved during each crank rotation for a two-fold collision of the tool on a workpiece.
- Knee joint drives are known.
- DE-PS 2 631 186 describes a corresponding knee joint drive in which emphasis has been placed on the symmetry of the bent positions of the stilts in relation to the crank circle.
- the knee joint drive provides a first stilt rotatably mounted in a press frame, a tappet and a second stilt rotatably mounted on this, which is connected in a connecting joint common to the first stilt to a connecting rod and, via this, to a drive crank. During each revolution of the drive crank along the crank circle, the stilts pass twice through the extended position and once through each of the two bent end positions that set the top dead center of the tappet.
- the bottom dead centers predetermined by the extended position of the stilts lie on the circumference of the crank circle of the drive crank on the circular section facing the stilts. This results in energy levels of the ram of different sizes when passing through the extended position and a short period of time for changing the workpiece.
- the document does not teach the use of such a knee joint drive for a second machining step without a workpiece change in a crank circulation using the intermediate stroke.
- DE-AS 1 153 251 describes a toggle press with a pair of stilts which can be moved from a bent end position into the extended position, the stilt being fixed to the frame being formed by one side of a crank-driven triangular link.
- Such training leads to a reduction in the forces exerted on the cranks and their bearings.
- a delayed movement of the tool in the working area, but not exploitation of the ram movement for forming and embossing is achieved in one work step.
- the main advantage of the knee joint drive according to the invention is its application on forging or forming presses, such as. B. Cutlery presses to see. With these presses, the tools have to be driven twice onto the workpiece in a large majority of cases, on the one hand to carry out the forming work and on the other hand to produce a glossy embossing.
- This working method is usually realized in that the presses used have to carry out two strokes, as a result of which time is lost and a correction of the position of the workpiece after the first stroke is often necessary.
- the use of an automation device, the drive of which is derived directly from the press drive in a simple and cost-saving manner, can be realized only with great difficulty. All these disadvantages of the existing systems are avoided by the invention without having to put up with any significant additional expense.
- a first stilt 11 is mounted, at the end of which is remote from the pivot point 10, a second stilt 13 is articulated in a connecting joint 12 and is mounted on a plunger 15 on a plunger 15 at its end facing away from the connecting joint 12 is that is movable in guides 16 fixed to the press frame.
- a connecting rod 17 is also articulated in the connecting joint 12, the end of which is remote from the connecting joint 12 is mounted on a drive crank 18 which has a rotational axis fixed to the frame and extending through the center of the crank circle 19.
- Fig. 1 shows a crank circuit 20, with the help of the characteristic positions of the drive crank 18, the connecting rod 17 and the stilts 11, 13 are shown.
- the strongly drawn lines represent the end position of the knee joint drive in the top dead center OT1 in the strongly bent position and a release position OT2 in the lower bent position during a working stroke (FIG. 2).
- Two characteristic positions of the knee joint drive are given by the first bottom dead center UT1 and the second bottom dead center UT2, the bottom dead center UT1 being equal to the bottom dead center UT2 in relation to the stroke of the ram 15 (FIG. 2).
- the connecting rods 17 ', 17 "shown in dash-dotted lines form an isosceles triangle.
- the positions of the connecting rods 17"', 17 “” shown in dashed lines each correspond to the starting points 22 , 23 the nominal force paths S N to be traversed in front of the extended positions 24 of the stilts 11, 13 by these and the crank 18.
- the circle segments formed from the starting point 22, the bottom dead center UT1, the crank center 19 and the starting point 23, the bottom dead center UT2, the crank center 19 must at least almost be identical.
- the central angle 25 which is due to the extended positions 24 of the stilts 11, 13 and the associated positions of the connecting rods 17 ', 17 "and the drive crank 18 ', 18 "is intended to enclose an acute to obtuse angle region.
- the central angle 25 should preferably be selected at an acute angle up to the range of a right angle, in order to achieve optimal operation of the press, which according to the invention is equipped with a previously described knee joint drive.
- the knee joint drive shown in FIG. 3 is modified compared to the knee joint drive shown in FIG. 1 and described above in such a way that the stilt 11 (FIG. 1) is expanded to form a triangular link 11, 11 ', 30. All other components are basically the same as those in FIG. 1 and have the same reference numerals.
- the dissolution of the stilts 11 in the triangular links 11, 11 ', 30 allows a compact, space-saving construction of the knee joint drive.
- the function of the knee joint drives can essentially be read from the diagram according to FIG. 2.
- the plunger 15 runs from the end position OT1 through the first bottom dead center UT1, the forming work being carried out essentially on the associated nominal force path S N.
- the tappet 15 After the tappet 15 has been released to the venting point OT2, which should be arranged in the immediate vicinity of the bottom dead centers UT1, UT2, the tappet 15 reaches the second bottom dead center UT2, with a glossy embossing being carried out on the nominal force path S N.
- the return to end position 0T1 immediately follows the second working day.

Description
- Fig. 1 ein Getriebeschema mit den charakteristischen Lagen,
- Fig. 3 ein weiteres Getriebeschema.
