Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for tensioning hides or skins in leather production with a tensioning frame arranged on a machine table, in which a plurality of tensioning clamps are held displaceably on essentially radial guides, and with a pressure device for holding the skin to be tensioned in its resting position on the stenter.
  • Such an automatic tensioning system for stretching hides or skins before drying is known.
  • the skin to be tensioned is placed on the tensioning frame and gripped by tensioning clamps that move from the outside of the frame to the radial guides towards the center of the frame.
  • the guides consist of slide rails that run in a radial fashion between an outer frame and an inner frame of the stenter frame. The moment a clamp clamps the skin with its mouth opening, a spring-loaded clasp is released, which firmly grips the skin.
  • the tensioning process itself is brought about by the tension clamps being moved on their guides in the direction of the outer frame with a predetermined tensile force.
  • the clamping frame is arranged on a machine table in which there are corresponding radial slide rails, on which carriages driven by traction cables can be moved, which can be coupled and uncoupled with the associated clamping clamps. After clamping, the frame is removed from the machine table and fed to a drying oven.
  • a disadvantage of this known tensioning device is that a secure detection of the spatially uneven skin by the tension clamps is not guaranteed. There is a risk that the tension clamp that first arrives at the outer edge of the skin to be tensioned will not grip it because of its pointed shape, but rather push it inwards. Adjacent tension clamps are then also not possible to grasp the leather outer edge by triggering the clasp, so that a subsequent tensioning process is also not possible. The operator must then return all tension clamps to the starting position, put the skin on again and try again with the machine. The main reason for the incorrect working of the tensioning device described is that the skin to be tensioned is not held in its position on the tensioning frame, but can be moved by the tensioning clamps.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of creating a tensioning device for stapling skins in tanneries which securely grips and holds the outer edge of the skin to be tensioned by means of the tension clamps without slipping or shifting the skin and smoothing Allows folding and warping.
  • each clamping clamp is assigned a pressure device which can be displaced with it.
  • the pressure device can either be fastened to the tension clamp itself or to the element of the machine table that displaces the tension clamp, in particular a slide. It is consequently moved together with the tension clamp, captured and keeps the outer skin area immovably in its resting position by triggering the closure of the tension clamp.
  • the pressure device is preferably rotatable and has a rolling surface.
  • it can be a roller, roller or rotating brush, the flat support of the roller or brush being preferred instead of the punctiform roller when tensioning thin skins because of the better smoothing effect.
  • the pressure device executes a relative movement exerting tensile forces on the skin.
  • a separate drive for the rotary movement of the roller, roller or rotating brush can be provided.
  • the drive can be a belt drive, which is guided by the element of the machine table displacing the tensioning clamp with a translation to the pressure device.
  • a further improvement in the holding result and the desired smoothing of the skin to be held is achieved if the pressure device is arranged in the feed direction of the tensioning clamp leading to the clamping plane.
  • the pressure device is arranged in the feed direction of the tensioning clamp leading to the clamping plane.
  • rollers, rollers or brushes can be provided in front of one another, possibly driven separately. A maximum spreading effect can be achieved with this.
  • the pressure device requires - how the name already says - a holder arranged above the skin to be stretched and a counter holder arranged below the skin.
  • the counter holder is already available as part of the clamping frame or must be provided. If, for example, the roller is in alignment with the tension clamp in front of it, the counter-holder can be the lower leg of the opening of the tension clamp or its guide. If the holder of the pressure device is located next to the tensioning clamp, a sheet metal arranged between the guides of the tensioning frame can be provided as the counterhold.
  • a pressure roller, roller or brush in a position below the skin to be tensioned is assigned to the holder of the pressure device as a counter-holder.
  • the roller, roller or brush and / or the counter-holder can be adjustable and resiliently mounted to adapt to the skin thickness.
  • an essentially U-shaped lever which is pivoted forward by 90 ° and has widening legs, is articulated on the slide of the machine table of each clamping clamp, said lever pressing the pressure device, in particular roller, roller or brush, on its upper leg. carries rotatable and is loaded on its lower leg by a counterweight.
  • each clamping clamp is assigned a pressure device, but this remains on the machine table when the clamping frame is fed to the drying oven. This is not the case in embodiments of the invention in which a roller is attached to the tension clamp itself, for example via a lateral spacer, as a pressure device. This embodiment can be used in smaller systems such. B. for processing half skins have advantages.
  • the pressure device can be made of steel to achieve a high dead weight and can be covered with a plastic.
  • the invention achieves that the skin to be tensioned is securely inserted into the tension clamp, detected there and held in place by the clasp, since any slippage of the skin is avoided by the pressure device, smoothing out wrinkles and curls. Even corners of the leather are pulled out and not, as before, moved by the tension clamp under the folding back, so that these disadvantages of the prior art are also eliminated.
  • an additional pulling force is used, a special spreading effect is guaranteed and it is no longer necessary to place the skin to be stretched very smoothly on the frame. Large savings in manpower and a smooth operation with quick set-up times are obtained.
  • FIG. 1 of the drawing which consist of a rectangular steel profile and belong to a large number of guides which are arranged essentially in the form of a beam in the machine table.
  • a clamping frame 3 which consists of an outer frame (not shown), an inner frame and a multiplicity of essentially radially extending guides 4, 5.
  • the guides 4, 5 are of the same design and functionally assigned to the guide rails 1, 2, which is why they are positioned in the same plane above the guide rails 1, 2.
  • bracket station about 60 such clamping frame 3 are required to be processed in order to tension the skin or hides in leather manufacture, and subsequently to dry on the tenter in an oven.
  • a flat support 6 made of sheet metal is arranged slightly below the working level. Sufficient space is left between two supports in the area of the guides 4, 5 in order to leave sufficient work possibilities on the guides 4, 5 displaceably arranged clamping clamps 7, 8.
  • a clamping frame 3 in the described embodiment has 94 clamping clips 7, 8.
  • the tension clamp 7, 8, which can be found in more detail in FIG. 2 of the drawing, essentially consists of a U-plastic profile 9 arranged at 90 °, the upper leg 10 and lower leg 11 of which expand towards the inside of the frame, to form a mouth opening for the introduction of the outer edge of a skin to be stretched.
  • the upper leg 10 carries a spring-loaded clasp 12 which interacts with the lower leg 11 when a skin is clamped by being pivoted downwards by the spring pressure. He triggered the closing movement follows by means of a scanning lever 13 which is articulated and spring-loaded in the lower leg 11 and acts on a magnetic switch which controls an air valve which releases the locking of the clasp 12 in the upper position shown in the drawing.
  • a carriage 14 is also attached, which is slidably seated on the associated guide 4, 5.
  • the carriage 14 is displaced by a carriage 15 running beneath it on the guide rail 1, 2, which is connected to a traction cable 16 which can be pulled back and forth by a compressed air cylinder.
  • a pawl 17 is pivotally mounted at the back, which takes the carriage 14 in the forward direction, and a protruding projection 18 is formed at the front, which causes the tension clamp 7, 8 to be carried backwards.
  • a support 19 for a pressure device 20 is slidably coupled and uncoupled on the guide rail 1, 2.
  • An axially protruding axis 21 is attached to the support 19, which pivotally carries at its outer end a substantially U-shaped lever 22 which is placed forward by 90 °.
  • the lever extends through the slot 23 of the support plate 6 and is provided on its upper leg 24 with a roller 25 which is suitable for exerting compressive and tensile forces on a skin which lies in the space between the roller surface and the support plate 6.
  • Such a pressure device 20 is assigned to each clamping clamp 7, 8 of the clamping frame 3 in the embodiment described.
  • other embodiments are conceivable in which e.g. only every second tension clamp is assigned a pressure device, for example when rollers 25 are arranged on both sides of a tension clamp.
  • An essential element of the arrangement of the roller 25 is its course relative to the plane of the clasp 12, which flg. 2 of the drawing can be seen.
  • the carrier 19 can be provided with a roller 26 which rolls on the guide rail 1 and whose rotational movement can be exploited via a gear (not shown) to drive the roller 25 in such a way that it pulls on the one below it Exerts skin.
  • the roller 25 moves faster in this case than the tension clamp 7, 8 due to a built-in translation.
  • the lower leg 31 of the lever 22 carries a counterweight 27, the coordination of which influences the level of the applied compressive force. A pivoting of the entire pressure device 20 about the axis 21 is possible.
  • FIG. 3 of the drawing shows an embodiment of a tension clamp 28, which is itself equipped with a pressure device 29, which is therefore part of the tension clamp 28.
  • tension clamp 26 with its various bow and angle levers for tensioning, releasing and tensioning the clasp is omitted, since the relevant design of the tension clamp 28 is independent of the technical design and function of the pressure device 29.
  • This consists of a pressure roller 30 which is rotatably attached to the upper leg of the tensioning clamp 28 at a lateral distance on an axis 32. The advance to the clamping level can be seen in the drawing.
  • the effect of the pressure device 20 and 29 is that before reaching the outer edge of the skin to be tensioned, pressure and possibly tension on the skin is exerted on both sides of the tension clamp, so that the skin is smoothed and held flat against displacement, so that the skin then inserted into the jaw opening of the tension clamp also triggers the scanning lever 13 at corners and thus brings the clasp 12 into the clamping position without the possibility that the tension clamp pushes the skin inward without clamping on the tension frame.
  • FIG. 4 of the drawing shows the rear view of the object of FIG. 1 in an enlarged detail. It can be seen that a flat support 6 made of sheet metal is arranged above the guide 4 of the clamping frame 3 slightly below the working plane. A sufficient distance is left between two supports 6 in the region of the guide 4 in order to give sufficient tension to a tensioning clamp 7 arranged on the guide 4.
  • the tensioning clamp 7 consists of a U-plastic profile 9, the upper leg of which carries the spring-loaded clasp 12, which interacts with the lower leg when a skin is clamped.
  • the closing process is triggered by the scanning lever 13, which is actuated by the skin inserted into the jaw opening of the tensioning clamp 7 and for this purpose can be pivoted about an axis 36.
  • the carriage 14 attached to the lower leg of the tensioning clamp 7 slidably sits on the associated guide 4 and is moved by means of the carriage 15 according to FIG. 2 of the drawing.
  • FIG. 5 shows a rear view of the tensioning clamp 7 with a modified drive for the tensioning roller 25.
  • the drive consists of a separate motor, not shown, which acts on the tensioning roller 25 via a drive belt 33 with drive rollers 34, 35.
