Compuestos de piridilamida de Fórmula (I): consta gráfico en donde R1 es -alquilo de C1-4 o cicloalquilo monocíclico saturado; m es 1 ó 2; X es N o CH; Y es N o CRa; Ra es -H, -Z-Ar, -CH2NRbRc, -CN, -CO2alquilo de C1-4, -CO2H o CONRbRc; en donde Rb y Rc son cada uno de manera independiente -H o alquilo de C1-4; y R2 es -H o -Z-Ar; con la condición de que uno de X y Y es N y uno de Ra y R2 es Z-Ar; en donde Z es O o S; y Ar es un grupo fenilo o heteroarilo monocíclico no sustituido o sustituido con uno, dos o tres sustituyentes R3; en donde cada sustituyente R3 se selecciona de manera independiente del grupo que consiste de: halo, -alquilo de C1-4, -OH, -Oalquilo de C1-4, -Salquilo de C1-4, -CN, -CONRdRe y -NO2; en donde Rd y Re son cada uno de manera independiente -H o alquilo de C1-4; son moduladores del receptor H3 de la histamina útiles en el tratamiento de las enfermedades mediadas por el receptor H3 de la histamina
