Abstract

La invención se refiere a una formulación de liberación sostenida para administrar uno o más agentes farmacéuticamente activos. La formulación comprende almidón con alto contenido de amilosa entrecruzado, y al menos un agente farmacéuticamente activo, y opcionalmente puede subdividirse en formas de dosificación más pequeñas donde las formas de dosificación más pequeñas tienen sustancialmente las mismas propiedades de liberación sostenida que la formulación a partir de la cual fueron derivadas. Las formulaciones pueden proveer liberación sostenida durante hasta al menos 24 horas, y debido a su divisibilidad permite que el receptor del agente activo o la persona que administra el agente activo valore la dosificación del agente.
