Claims (11)

  1. PAT E NT K RAV
    1. Fremgangsmåde til behandling af et cellekulturmedium til anvendelse i en bioreaktor, omfattende: (a) at udsætte cellekulturmediet for ultraviolet C (UVC) lys; (a2) at lede cellekulturmediet gennem et dybdefilter; (b) at lede cellekulturmediet gennem et sterilt filter; og (c) at indføre cellekulturmediet i en bioreaktor.
  2. 2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor UVC lyset har en bølgelængde på 254 nm.
  3. 3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor cellekulturmediet udsættes for UVC lys ved en strømningshastighed på 1 - 12 liter pr. time, fortrinsvis 6 liter pr. time.
  4. 4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor logreduktionsværdien er større end eller lig med 4,85, idet logreduktionsværdien fortrinsvis er 6 - 7.
  5. 5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor cellekulturmediet udsættes for UVC lys ved en energidensitet på 120 - 320 J/m2, fortrinsvis 238 J/m2.
  6. 6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor det sterile filter har porer med en maksimumsstørrelse på 200 nm.
  7. 7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor trinet med at udsætte cellekulturmediet for UVC lys er tilstrækkeligt til at beskadige nucleinsyrerne af eventuelt ikke-indhyllede virusser i cellekulturmediet.
  8. 8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor det behandlede cellekulturmedium anvendes til at støtte væksten af pattedyrceller eller insektceller.
  9. 9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 8, hvor pattedyrcellerne kan producere antistoffer.
  10. 10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor cellekulturmediet ledes gennem dybdefiltret ved en sur pH, fortrinsvis pH 5,0.
  11. 11. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor trinet med at lede cellekulturmediet gennem et dybdefilter er tilstrækkeligt til at fjerne eventuelt indhyllede virusser fra cellekulturmediet.
