Claims (21)
1. Fremgangsmåde til omdannelse af biomasse til brændstoffer og/eller kemikalier, omfattende trinnene: a) at aktivere biomassen for at gøre den mere modtagelig for omdannelse, hvor det at aktivere omfatter at udsætte biomassen for et pH-udsving på mindst 4 pH-enheder; b) eventuelt at tilsætte et opløsningsmiddel; c) delvist at omdanne den aktiverede biomasse til dannelse af en blanding af en bioolie og en ikke-omdannet biomasse, hvor den ikke-omdannede biomasse refererer til biomasse, der ikke er blevet omdannet til et flydende produkt; d) at separere den ikke-omdannede biomasse fra bioolien; og e) at udsætte den fraseparerede ikke-omdannede biomasse fra trin d) for en omdannelsesproces omfattende pyrolyse eller flashpyrolyse, hvor bioolien er en blanding af derivatforbindelser fra flydende biomasse, og den fraseparerede ikke-konverterede biomasse fra trin c) indeholder genstridig cellulose.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor trin a) omfatter tilsætning af et uorganisk materiale i partikelform.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 2 , hvor det uorganiske materiale er udvalgt fra gruppen bestående af kationisk ler, anionisk ler, naturligt ler, hydrotalkil-lig-nende materialer, lagdelte materialer, malm, mineraler, metaloxider, hydroxider af metaller af alkali- og jordalkaligrupperne og blandinger deraf, hvor de hydrotalkil-lignende materialer omfatter anionisk ler med brucit-lignende hovedlag, der er opbygget af oktaedriske skiftende mellemlag, hvori vandmolekyler og anioner er fordelt.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor biomassen omfatter cellulose og/eller lignin.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor separeringen involverer en filtreringsindretning, såsom en filterpresse, en centrifuge, et membranfilter eller et na-nofilter.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 5, hvor der tilsættes et opløsningsmiddel og eventuelt varme og/eller damp under separeringstrinnet.
7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor den ikke-omdannede biomasse i trin e) er i partikelform, og partiklerne af ikke-konverteret biomasse indeholder partikler af et uorganisk eller organisk materiale.
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor, før trin c), den aktiverede biomasse behandles i en mekanisk indretning for at få en homogen og inderlig blanding af komponenterne.
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 8, hvor den aktiverede biomasse behandles i en ælteindretning, en formalingsindretning, en fluid bed og/eller en spouted bed, eventuelt ved forhøjet temperatur.
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 8, hvor den aktiverede biomasse behandles gennem en ekstruder.
11. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 10, hvor der under ekstrudering strinnet tilsættes varme og/eller damp.
12. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 10, hvor ekstrudater fra ekstruderingstrinnet tørres, dampes og/eller kalcineres før trin e).
13. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor omdannelsesfremgangsmåden i trin e) indebærer mere end et fremgangsmådetrin.
14. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor omdanelsesfremgangsmåden i trin e) frembringer en bioolie.
15. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 14, omfattende det yderligere trin atomdanne bioolien til et flydende brændstof, som er egnet til anvendelse i en forbrændingsmotor.
16. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, omfattende det yderligere trin at omdanne bioolien opnået i trin c) til et flydende brændstof, som er egnet til anvendelse i en forbrændingsmotor.
17. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 15 eller 16, hvor det yderligere trin omfatter omdannelse i en enhed udvalgt blandt en FCC-enhed, en hydrokrakning-en-hed, en hydrobehandlingsenhed, en termisk krakning-enhed og kombinationer deraf.
18. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor bioolien fremstillet i trin c) og/eller trin e) blandes med fossile brændstoffer før behandling i et raffinaderi.
19. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor bioolien opnået i trin c) efterfølgende omdannes til et transportbrændstof ved vandig fase-reformering.
20. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor, før trin e), den ikke-omdannede biomasse fra trin c) udsættes for elektromagnetisk og/eller ultralyds-energi, eventuelt i nærvær af et polært opløsningsmiddel.
21. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor, før trin e), den ikke-omdannede biomasse fra trin c) udsættes for inderlig blanding med et tilsætningsstof, eventuelt i nærvær af et opløsningsmiddel.
