Description

  • Zusatzstoffe zu Schmier- und Metallbearbeitungsmittein Es wurde gefunden, daß Ester aus einen oder mehrere aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffreste enthaltenden Phosphinsäuren und primären aliphatischen Alkoholen sich hervorragend als Zusatzstoffe zu Scbmi!ermitteln eignen.
  • Die erfindungsgemäß zu verwendenden Ester entsprechen den allgemeinen Formeln in denen Ar für gleiche oder verschiedene ein- oder mehrkernige aromatische Kdhlenwas-serstoffreste steht, die gegebenenfalls auch substituiert sein können, z. B. durch Halogen oder Alkyl-, Aralkyl-oder Arylreste, und in der R für gleiche oder verschiedene Alkylreste steht.
  • Die als Zusatzstoffe zu Schmiermitteln vorgeschlagenen Ester können in beliebiger Weise hergestellt worden sein, z. B. durch Umsetzung von aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffeh mit Phosp'hortrichlorid in Gegenwart von Aluminiumchlorid, anschließender C'hlorierung und nachfolgender Veresterung mit dien in Betracht kommenden Alkoholen, wie dies z. B. in journ. Am. Chem. Soc. 69 (t9.17), 2020 bis 2021, beschrieben ist. Die vorgeschlagenen Ester zeichnen sich durch eine große Beständigkeit aus, auch bei ihrer Ver--wendung als Zusatzstoffe zu Schmiermitteln. Sie sind leicht löslich in den gebräuchlichen Grundölen und verleihen ihnen Höchstdruckeigensdhaften, ohne die Gefahr eines Verschleißes von Maschinenteilen mit sich zu bringen; sie verändern die Schmierstoffe kaum im Gebrauch und üben gleichzeitig eine sehr erwünschte Reinigungswirkung aus. Ein weiterer Vorzug isst, daß ein Zusatz von o,a bis z 0/0, bezogen auf die Schmiermittel, im allgemeinen genügt und daß dabei die Viskosität dieser Mittel nicht verändert wird. Als besonders vorteilhaft haben sich die Ester von niedermolekularen Alkoholen mit bis zu 5 Kofhlenstoffatomen, erwiesen; man kann sie leicht reinigen, und sie verändern dann dank ihrets hellen Aussehens die Farbe der Schmiermittel nicht. Beispiel r EinrlVIotorenöl wird mit r %T'oluylpphosphinsäuredipropylester versetzt; es besitzt dann Höchätdruckeigenschaften und wirkt verschleißverhindernd.
  • Während das reine Motorenöl nur eine Belastung von etwa a5o bis 3ioo kg/cm2 zuläß't, kann das mit dem angegebenen Zusatz versehene Öl mit über T 50[0,. lcg/cm2 belastet werden, ohne daß es zum Verschleißen der Lagerteile kommt. Die auftretenden Reibungskräfte sind sehr gering.
  • Beispiel Ein iCetriebeöl wird mit einem Zusatz von 2% an p-Chlorphenylphosphinsäure-distearylester versehen; das Öl hält dann den höchsten Drücken stand und wirkt verschleißmindernd; die Maschinenteile bleiben vollkommen glatt und blank. Beispiel 3 Ein Schneiidöl, das einen Zusatz von 1,3% an Bis(pchlor-phenyl-)phosphinsäure-butylester erhalten hat, bewirkt eine bedeutend verlängerte Standzeit der Werkzeuge und läßt erhöhte Schnittgeschwindigkeiten zu. Außerdem werden vollkommen blanke Schnittflächen erzielt.
  • Gleiche Ergebnisse wenden auch mit Estern aus Methanol, Äthanol oder Propanol erzielt.

  1. PATENTANSPRUCH: Weitere Ausbildung des Gegenstandes des Patentes 851 237, gekennzeichnet durch d;le Verwendung von Estern aus einen oder mehrere aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffreste enthaltenden Phosphinsäuren und primären aliphatischen Alkoholen als Zusatzstoffe zu Schmiermitteln.
