Gegenstand des Patents 851237 ist die Verwendung von Phosphorverbindungen der allgemeinen Formeln

worin R einen Kohlenwasserstoffrest, z. B. einen Alkyl-, Aralkyl-, Aryl- oder heterocyclischen Rest, und X eine der folgenden Gruppen: OH, SH, OR, SR, NH2, NHR, NRj bedeutet und die Kohlenwasserstoffreste substituiert sein können, als Schmiermittel oder Schmierstoffzusatzmittel.
Es wurde nun gefunden, daß man die günstige' Wirkung dieser Zusatzmittel erhöhen bzw. für einen längeren Zeitraum aufrechterhalten kann, wenn man ihnen Halogenderivate von Kohlenwasserstoffen, vorzugsweise Chlor- und/oder Fluorderivate, zusetzt. Besonders geeignet sind solche unter den jeweiligen Arbeitsbedingungen beständigen Derivate, deren Halogengehalt sich auf bis zu etwa 70% beläuft und deren Siedepunkt oberhalb 2oo° liegt.
Die Kohlenwasserstoffe, die den erfmdungsgemäß in Betracht kommenden Halogenderivaten zugrunde liegen, können der aliphatischen, cycloaliphatischen oder aromatischen Reihe angehören.
Als brauchbare Halogenderivate seien beispielsweise genannt: Chlorparaffine, Chlorolefine, wie Hexachlorbutadien, Tetrachlorbenzol, chloriertes Diphenyl, 1,2-Dichlornaphthalin oder die ent-
sprechenden ι, 3-, ι, δ,-, ι, 5"; ι» 6-, 2, 3-Derivate, Dichlorantlhracen und Chlorphenanthrene.
Wie weiterhin gefunden wurde, lassen sich die
vorgeschlagenen Halogenderivate auch .mit gutem Erfolg zur Verbesserung der Eigenschaften der Schmier- und Poliermittel verwenden, die den Gegenstand des Patents 879 138 bilden und die aus einen oder " mehrere Kohlenwasserstoffreste enthaltenden Phosphinsäuren und primären aliphatischen Alkoholen bestehen.
Das geeignete Mengenverhältnis, in dem die vorgeschlagenen Verbindungen in Ansatz gebracht werden, läßt sich jeweils durch entsprechende Vorversuche leicht ermitteln. Im allgemeinen können die Zusatzmengen im Grundöl sehr gering gehalten werden; selbst bei den höchsten Anforderungen braucht man 3%> nicht zu überschreiten.
Bei Anwendung der erfindungsgemäß vorao geschlagenen Zusatzmittel kann man nunmehr z. B. als Schneidöle auch niederviskose Grundöle verwenden und damit sowohl die Schmierung als auch die Kühlung so verbessern, daß die Leistung der Bearbeitungsmaschinen ohne Beeinträchtigung der Güte der Werkstücke um ein Vielfaches erhöht wird. Der Verschleiß der Werkzeuge wird erheblich vermindert und die Standfestigkeit wie auch die Schnittgeschwindigkeit gesteigert.
Bemerkenswert ist fernerhin, daß die vorgeschlagenen Zusatzmittel keine mineralischen Anteile enthalten und auch .keine schwefelhaltigen Bestandteile, die bekanntlich im Betrieb zu Geruchsbelästigungen, Korrosionen, Anlaufen der Buntmetalle usw. führen. Die Maschinenteile' und Werkstücke bleiben nach der Bearbeitung und Abstellung rostfrei, ein Vorteil, der bei den vielfach verwendeten wäßrigen Bohr- und Schneidölemulsionen nicht ohne weiteres gegeben ist.
Außer den erfindungsgemäß in Betracht kommenden Zusatzmitteln kann man den ölen und Schmierstoffen auch noch andere Zusätze, wie Stabilisatoren, Oxydationsverhinderer u. dgl., beimischen, z. B. Polyalkylphenole oder Azomethine, die aus primären Aminen einerseits und aus einen cyclischen Rest mit einer orthoständigen Hydroxylgruppe tragenden Carbonylverbindungen andererseits aufgebaut sind, und dadurch die Haltbarkeit und Gebrauchsfähigkeit der Öle und Schmierstoffe weiter verbessern.

ι Gewichtsteil eines chlor- und fluorhaltigen Diphenyle mit einem Gesamthalogengehalt von 'ungefähr 45°/o und ι Gewichtsteil 4-Chlorphenylphosphinsäure gemäß Patent 851 237 werden 200 Gewichtsteile Mineralöl der Viskosität 5 bis 6° E/ 500 C zugesetzt. Mit diesem Schneidöl kann man mit Gewindebohrern und Schneideisen selbst in Stahl von hoher Festigkeit Gewinde schneiden, wobei die Werkzeuge in geringerem Maße als üblich abgenutzt werden.
Beispiel 2
Eine Mischung aus 3 Gewichtsteilen eines chlorierten Diphenyle mit einem Chlorgehalt von etwa 50% und 1 Gewichtsteil Bis-(p-öhlorphenyl-) phosphinsäure-butylester gemäß Beispiel 3 des Patents 879 138 wird 200 Gewiehtsteilen eines Spindelöles von etwa 1,5° E/500 C zugesetzt.
Man erhält ein Automatenöl, welches eine einwandfreie Zerspanung unter beträchtlicher Erhöhung der Schnittgeschwindigkeiten bzw. der Vorschübe zuläßt. Die Kühlwirkung des Öles ist auch bei höheren Schnittgeschwindigkeiten ausreichend. Eine störende Schaumbildung tritt nicht auf.

ι Gewichtsteil Hexachlorbutadien vom Siedepunkt 283 ° und ι Gewichtsteil p-Chlorphenylphosphinssäure-distearylester gemäß Beispiel 2 des Patents 879 138 werden 70 Gewiehtsteilen Mineralöl, von etwa 2 bis 30 E/500 zugesetzt. Dieses Schneidöl ist besonders für Automatenarbeiten mit zusätzlichen Gewindeschneiden geeignet; es weist die gleichen Vorteile auf, die im Beispiel 2 angegeben sind.

  1. PATENTANSPRUCH:
    Weitere Ausbildung des Gegenstandes der Patente 851 237 und 879 138, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Schmierstoffzusatzmittel zusammen mit Halogenderivaten von Kohlenwasserstoffen verwendet werden.
