Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 17. August 1877 'ab.
Derselbe besteht aus einem Untertheile U gleich "dem eines gewöhnlichen Niederschraubhahnes, der verschliefsenden elastischen Scheibe (etwa aus Gummi) und dem Obertheile O. Letzterer ist mittelst eines Flantsches auf den Untertheil aufgeschraubt und hält die dazwischenliegende Verschlufsscheibe fest. Der Obertheil trägt zwei bockartige Aufsätze α und b, in welche ein Stift c eingesetzt ist. Um diesen Stift c dreht sich der mit dem Finger zu bewegende Daumen D, eine excentrische Scheibe, welche, aus der Stellung χ in die Stellung y gelangend, durch ihren Druck auf den Knopf e das Niederdrücken der Scheibe und dadurch den Verschlufs bewirkt. Die umgekehrte Bewegung gestattet der Flüssigkeit, die Scheibe zu heben und auszutreten.
