- TECHNISCHES GEBIET
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Granulieren von Düngemittelprodukten, und insbesondere betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung ein Verfahren zum Durchtränken eines Düngemittelmaterials mit Harnstoff und Granulieren eines Pellet.
- STAND DER TECHNIK
- Die Verbesserung von Düngemittelverbindungen durch eine Harnstoffbehandlung, typischerweise durch Besprühen oder ein Aerosol, wird im Stand der Technik praktiziert. Der unerwünschteste Aspekt der Behandlung rührt von der Tatsache her, dass Harnstoff wasserlöslich ist und, da es gegenwärtig topisch angewendet wird, viel von der Verbindung einfach dadurch verschwendet wird, dass sie vom Regen, durch Bewässerung usw. weggewaschen wird. Es handelt sich dabei um ein teures Verfahren mit beschränkter Wirksamkeit. Ein Produkt und Verfahren, durch das der Harnstoff gemischt oder in der Düngermatrix kristallisiert werden kann, ist notwendig, um das Abfallproblem zu überwinden. Die vorliegende Erfindung löst dieses Problem.
- Das US-Patent 3,785,796 offenbart ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Harnstoff Ammoniumsulfat-Granulat aus Harnstoff und Ammoniumsulfat mittels mehrerer Granulationsverfahren. Das in dieser Veröffentlichung beschriebene Verfahren stellt nur eine durch Sprühkristallisation erzeugte Harnstoffmatrix zur Verfügung, die mit Ammoniumsulfat versetzt ist.
- Das US-Patent 4,554,004 offenbart ein Verfahren zur Granulation von Düngemittelmaterialien. Das Verfahren führt zur Herstellung von granulierten Materialien, bei denen Harnstoffphosphat als Granulationsmittel zur Unterstützung bei der Agglomeration von festen Teilchen in relativ gleichförmig dimensioniertes Granu lat verwendet wird. Harnstoffphosphat wirkt als Überzug für die geteilten Teilchen, und die Granulation wird bei einer Temperatur im thermalen plastischen Bereich von Harnstoffphosphat erzielt.

- Die vorliegende Erfindung wird in der Düngemittelindustrie verwendet.
- OFFENBARUNG DER ERFINDUNG
- Die Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es, ein verbessertes Düngemittelverfahren zum Einbringen von Harnstoff aus einer Harnstoffquelle in das Düngemittel zur Verfügung zu stellen.
- Gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung umfasst das Verfahren zum Granulieren eines Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterials die folgenden Schritte:
- – Bereitstellen einer Harnstoff enthaltenden Verbindung;
- – Bereitstellen eines Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterials, bestehend aus Ammoniumsulfat in einer Größenverteilung von 3 mesh (Siebzahl) bis etwa 10 mesh;
- – Einbringen der Harnstoff enthaltenden Verbindung und des Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterials in einen Trommelgranulator;
- – Aufrechterhalten einer Temperatur in dem Trommelgranulator, die ausreicht, um die Harnstoff enthaltende Verbindung in einem flüssigen Zustand zu halten;
- – Mischen der Harnstoff enthaltenden Verbindung in einem flüssigen Zustand mit dem Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterial in dem Trommelgranulator, so dass flüssiger Harnstoff in die Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterial-Matrix eingebracht wird und so ein Gemisch erhalten wird, und
- – Kühlen des Gemischs zur Bildung eines granulierten Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterials, das Ammoniumsulfatgranulat mit darin kristallisiertem Harnstoff enthält.
- Um ein einfacheres Rollen der Teilchen in der Trommel zu ermöglichen, kann die Trommel unter anderem mit Gummi, TeflonTM, Neopren ausgekleidet sein.
- Im Hinblick auf die Tatsache, dass die granulierten Pellets aufgrund der kristallinen Struktur einen relativ hohen Grad an leeren Zwischenräumen enthalten, liefern diese Räume ein besonders nützliches Volumen, in dem Harnstoff umkristallisiert werden kann.
- Bezüglich der Art von Harnstoffverbindungen, die bei der Durchführung der vorliegenden Erfindung verwendet werden können, weisen Beispiele Harnstoffformaldehyd, Harnstoff-Ammoniumorthophosphat, Harnstoff-Ammoniumpolyphosphat, Ureaform usw. auf. Andere geeignete Beispiele, die mit der damit verbundenen Chemie kompatibel sind, werden vom Fachmann richtig eingeschätzt.
- Zum Steigern der Netzbarkeit des Einsatzmaterials kann ein oberflächenaktiver Stoff zugesetzt werden. Der oberflächenaktive Stoff reduziert die Oberflächenspannung des Düngemittelprodukts in einem solchen Ausmaß, dass der Harnstoff in das Düngemittel fließen kann. Dies ist wertvoll, wenn das Gemisch aus Harnstoff und Düngemittel auf oberhalb dem Schmelzpunkt des Harnstoffs gekühlt wird, da das Ergebnis die Umkristallisation des Harnstoffs in der Düngemittelmatrix ist.
- Eine Umkristallisation des Harnstoffs innerhalb der Matrix verbessert, wie festgestellt wurde, erwünschte Eigenschaften des so gebildeten Granulats wesentlich. Typischerweise übersteigt die Bruchfestigkeit von Harnstoff tragenden Pellets oder Granulat 7 Kilogramm. Dieses Merkmal ist insofern günstig, als harte Teilchen während des Versands keine großen Mengen an Staub erzeugen, nicht brechen, zerkrümeln usw., eine modifizierte Löslichkeit vorsehen und eine Ver wendung für Harnstoff erleichtern, was auf der Grundlage der gegenwärtigen Methodik des Standes der Technik nicht möglich gewesen wäre.
- Nachdem die Erfindung nunmehr allgemein beschrieben wurde, wird jetzt Bezug auf die beigefügten Zeichnungen genommen, die bevorzugte Ausführungsformen veranschaulichen.
- KURZE BESCHREIBUNG DER ZEICHNUNGEN

- METHODEN ZUR DURCHFÜHRUNG DER ERFINDUNG
- Mit Bezug auf die
1 stellt das Bezugszeichen10 das Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterial dar, das unter anderem Kaliumchlorid, Kaliumsulfat, Ammoniumsulfat sein kann. Das Einsatzmaterial10 wird aus einer Quelle davon, zum Beispiel einem Kesselgranulierungskreis („pan granulation circuit") (nicht gezeigt), genommen. - Das Einsatzmaterial
10 hat eine Größenverteilung von etwa 3 mesh bis etwa 10 mesh. Das Material wird in einen Trommelgranulator12 eingegeben. Geeignete Trommelgranulatoren werden vom Fachmann bevorzugt. Zusätzlich zum Einsatzmaterial10 , das in die Trommel12 gegeben wird, wird auch eine Quelle einer Harnstoff tragenden Verbindung14 eingeführt. Der Harnstoff kann in den Granulator12 in einem flüssigen Zustand gegeben werden, oder der Granulator12 kann so erwärmt werden, dass der Harnstoff in der Harnstoff tragenden Verbindung verflüssigt wird. Als weitere mögliche Alternative kann das ursprüngliche Einsatzmaterial in einem solchen Maß erwärmt werden, dass ein Schmelzen des Harnstoffs in der Verbindung bewirkt wird. - Als wahlweisen Schritt kann abhängig vom Wesen der damit verbundenen Chemie ein geeigneter oberflächenaktiver Stoff
16 in den Granulator12 eingeführt werden, um den Transport des flüssigen Harnstoffs in die Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterial-Matrix zu erleichtern. Das Gemisch, das allgemein durch das Bezugszeichen18 bezeichnet wird, wird dann in eine Kühlvorrichtung20 eingeführt. Die Vorrichtung kann einen weiteren Trommelgranulator, eine Wirbelschicht oder eine andere geeignete Kühlvorrichtung umfassen, die auch eine Bewegung des Produkts erleichtert. Um eine Kristallisation des Harnstoffs in dem Einsatzmaterial-Produkt zu hervorzurufen, wird am Einlass22 gegenläufig eine Kühlflüssigkeit in den Granulator20 eingeführt. Die Kühlflüssigkeit kann jedes Fluid umfassen, das bezüglich der chemischen Vorgänge in der Kühlvorrichtung20 inert ist. Als Beispiel kann Luft zum Kühlen des Harnstoffs in die Vorrichtung20 eingeführt werden. Eine Kristallisation tritt an jedem Punkt oberhalb des Schmelzens von Harnstoff (typischerweise 110°C) auf, und die Kühlluft in der Vorrichtung20 verringert die Temperatur auf etwa 65°C, um ein Produkt zu erzeugen, das die Vorrichtung bei24 verlässt. - Die Rotation und Neigung des Trommelgranulators
12 und/oder20 wird vom Fachmann richtig eingeschätzt. Diese Parameter hängen unter anderem von der Beschaffenheit des Einsatzmaterials ab. - Das Produkt
24 ist fotografisch in der2 veranschaulicht, in der das Granulat in einem weitgehend kugelförmigen Zustand sowie im Querschnitt gezeigt wird. Es wird aus einer Untersuchung der Querschnitte deutlich, dass der Harnstoff in der Matrix des Düngemittels kristallisiert ist. Wie man weiß, hat das Düngemittelgranulat typischerweise ein Zwischenraum-Leervolumen, das irgendwo zwischen 15 und 25 % liegt. Dies ist eine ideale Möglichkeit, um flüssigen Harnstoff für eine mögliche Umkristallisation in die Einsatzmaterial-Matrix einzuführen. - Es ist gefunden worden, dass wichtige Vorteile aus der Einführung von Harnstoff resultieren, die zum Beispiel eine erhöhte Bruchfestigkeit der Teilchen umfassen. Die Bruchfestigkeit von Ammoniumsulfatpellets liegt typischerweise bei etwa 2 Kilogramm bis etwa 3 Kilogramm, während die Bruchfestigkeit des behandelten Pellets 7 Kilogramm übersteigt, wenn der Harnstoff in der Matrix kristallisiert wurde. Im Fall von Kaliumchlorid und Kaliumsulfat beträgt die Bruchfestigkeit des Granulats bei der Vorbehandlung etwa 2 Kilogramm bis etwa 3 Kilogramm, und das Harnstoff tragende Granulat zeigt eine Bruchfestigkeit von etwa 7 Kilogramm bis etwa 8 Kilogramm.
- Wie in der Kurve veranschaulicht ist, löst sich Harnstoff schnell auf. Bei einer Zunahme von Kaliumchlorid wird die Auflösungsgeschwindigkeit signifikant reduziert, wodurch ein Düngemittelprodukt mit einer anhaltenden langsamen Freisetzung zur Verfügung gestellt wird, das nicht aufbricht/zerfällt, sondern vielmehr im Lauf der Zeit allmählich mit einer weitgehend gleichförmigen Durchmesserverringerung aufgelöst wird.
- Wie oben angegeben, gibt es wichtige zusätzliche Vorteile, die aus der Einführung von Harnstoff resultieren. Einer der attraktivsten Vorteile im Hinblick auf die vorliegende Erfindung ist die Tatsache, dass das NPKS-Verhältnis wirksam maßgeschneidert werden kann, so dass jedes gewünschte Stickstoff-, Phosphor-, Kalium- und Schwefelverhältnis erhalten wird. In dem Beispiel der
2 beträgt das NPKS-Verhältnis 30-0-0-20. - Obwohl Ausführungsformen der Erfindung hier speziell dargestellt wurden, ist davon auszugehen, dass die Erfindung signifikant verändert werden kann, ohne dass vom Geist, der Natur oder dem Umfang der beanspruchten und beschriebenen Erfindung abgewichen wird.
Claims (6)
- Verfahren zum Granulieren eines Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterials, umfassend die folgenden Schritte: – Bereitstellen einer Harnstoff enthaltenden Verbindung; – Bereitstellen eines Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterials, bestehend aus Ammoniumsulfat in einer Größenverteilung von 3 mesh (Siebzahl) bis etwa 10 mesh; – Einbringen der Harnstoff enthaltenden Verbindung und des Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterials in einen Trommelgranulator; – Aufrechterhalten einer Temperatur in dem Trommelgranulator, die ausreicht, um die Harnstoff enthaltende Verbindung in einem flüssigen Zustand zu halten; – Mischen der Harnstoff enthaltenden Verbindung in einem flüssigen Zustand mit dem Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterial in dem Trommelgranulator, so dass flüssiger Harnstoff in die Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterial-Matrix eingebracht wird und so ein Gemisch erhalten wird, und – Kühlen des Gemischs zur Bildung eines granulierten Düngemittel-Einsatzmaterials, das Ammoniumsulfatgranulat mit darin kristallisiertem Harnstoff enthält.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Granulat eine Größenverteilung von etwa 5 mesh bis etwa 10 mesh hat.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Harnstoff Harnstoffformaldehyd umfasst.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Harnstoff Harnstoff-Ammoniumorthophosphat umfasst.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Harnstoff Harnstoff-Ammoniumpolyphosphat umfasst.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Harnstoff Ureaform umfasst.
