Description
KAISERLICHES
PATENTAMT.
Wird Gallocyanin, am besten als Paste, mit Aethylendiamin auf dem Wasserbade erwärmt,
so bildet sich eine neue Farbstoff base, deren Salze in Wasser löslich sind und tannirte
Baumwolle und Seide in blauer Nuance anfärben.
Zur Darstellung des Farbstoffes verfährt man in folgender Weise:
10 Theile 40 procentige Gallocyaninpaste werden mit 4 Theilen Aethylendiamin zusammengerührt
und die Masse 5 bis 6 Stunden auf dem Wasserbade erwärmt. Aus dem Reactionsproduct
wird das unveränderte Aethylendiamin mit Wasser ausgezogen; der unlösliche schwarzbraune Rückstand stellt die neue
Farbstoffbase dar.
In concentrirter Schwefelsäure und Eisessig löst sich der Farbstoff mit blauer· Farbe; die
Lösungen schlagen auf Zusatz von Wasser in violett um. Aus den wässerigen Lösungen
ihrer Salze fällt die Farbstoffbase durch Zusatz von Alkalien als dunkelvioletter Niederschlag
aus.

- Patent-Anspruch:Verfahren zur Darstellung eines basischen Farbstoffes durch Erhitzen von Aethylendiamin mit Gallocyanin auf Wasserbadtemperatur.
