Description
- Die Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung einer Schmierölzusammensetzung.
- Druckluft, die auf bestimmten Gebieten, beispielsweise in der Nahrungsmittelindustrie und begleitender Industrie, in medizinischen Instrumenten, in der pharmazeutischen Industrie und in der medizinischen Pflege verwendet wird, von denen man ausgeht, daß sie Effekte auf den menschlichen Körper ausüben, ist im allgemeinen durch die kombinierte Verwendung eines Öl-gekühlten Kompressors und eines Nebelfilters hergestellt worden. Kompressoren vom ölfreien Typ haben nun eine Energie von 15 kw, selbst dann, wenn sie die kleinsten sind. Ihre Apparatekosten sind mindestens zweimal so hoch, wie im Falle eines Öl-gekühlten Kompressors. Es gibt daher nur wenige Fälle, wo kleine und mittlere Fabriken oder medizinische Institutionen solche Kompressoren vom ölfreien Typ verwenden.
- Die Umstände, unter denen Druckluft mit menschlichen Körpern in Kontakt kommt und darauf Einflüsse ausüben kann, schließen eine Durchbewegung von Eiskrem und ähnlichen Nahrungsmitteln mit Druckluft, das Abschälen von Zwiebeln und ähnlichen Gemüsen (ein sofortiges Fortblasen von Pflanzenhäuten mit Druckluft), das Rühren von Sojabohnen und ähnlichen Nahrungsmitteln, die sich im Prozeß der Fermentation befinden, mit Druckluft, das Fortblasen des Teils eines Erfrischungstranks oder eines alkoholischen Getränks, der zum Zeitpunkt des Füllens der Flaschen mit der Flüssigkeit um die Flaschenöffnung herum verspritzt worden ist, das Reinigen von Flaschen mit Druckluft, den Transport von Zucker und ähnlichen Pulvern mit Druckluft, die Verwendung von Druckluft für Zahnarzthandbohrer und die Reinigung von Mundhöhlen mit Druckluft ein. Wenn Druckluft, die durch kombinierte Verwendung eines Öl-gekühlten Kompressors und eines Nebelfilters hergestellt worden ist, bei den genannten verschiedenen Umständen verwendet werden soll, dann ist es sehr schwierig, den Ölnebel aus der Druckluft über lange Zeiträume vollständig zu entfernen, und es besteht die Möglichkeit, daß mehrere ppm bis mehrere zehn ppm des Öls an die Außenseite des Systems abgegeben werden.
- Es ist auch schon ein Kompressor vom Schnecken bzw. Schraubentyp zur Verdichtung von CO&sub2;-Gas eingesetzt worden, um Trockeneis in kleinen und mittleren Fabriken herzustellen. Ein in diesem Fall im Kompressor verwendetes Schmieröl schmiert den Kompressor, während sich das Öl damit in direktem Kontakt befindet. Das Schmieröl sollte daher ein solches sein, bei dem die Sicherheit für den menschlichen Körper vom Standpunkt der Verwendung von Trokkeneis in Betracht gezogen worden ist. Weiterhin muß das Schmieröl eine Oxidationsbeständigkeit haben, da in dieses eine geringe Luftmenge gelangt. Aus diesem Grunde schliessen Schmieröle für einen Kompressor, die für den obigen Zweck bislang verwendet worden sind, tierische und pflanzliche Öle mit hoher Sicherheit und flüssiges Paraffin ein. Diese herkömmlichen Öle und das flüssige Paraffin bringen aber Probleme hinsichtlich einer ungenügenden Verhinderung der Rostbildung und der Oxidationsstabilität mit sich.
- Es sind daher bislang noch keine Öle entwickelt worden, die für solche Vorrichtungen, wie Kompressoren, hohe Sicherheit haben und die auch eine ausgezeichnete Oxidationsstabilität, Verhinderung der Rostbildung und Schmierfähigkeit haben. Bei den herkömmlichen Schmierölen sind daher vor der Vollendung der vorliegenden Erfindung noch verschiedene Probleme zu lösen gewesen.
- Die EP-A-0 382 512 beschreibt Schmierölzusammensetzungen für Nahrungsmittel verarbeitende Maschinen, die als Basisöl ein Glycerid einer gesättigten aliphatischen Säure und als wesentliche Komponente eine aliphatische Säure mit 12 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatomen enthalten.
- Der benannte Erfinder hat ausgedehnte Untersuchungen mit dem Ziel durchgeführt, Schmieröle zu entwickeln, die für den menschlichen Körper sicher sind und die ausgezeichnete Eigenschaften hinsichtlich der Schmierfähigkeit, der Verhinderung der Rostbildung und der Oxidationsstabilität haben. Als Ergebnis dieser Untersuchungen hat er gefunden, daß schmieröle, die ein Glycerid mit spezieller chemischer Struktur als Basisöl und weiterhin eine spezielle Verbindung enthalten, den oben genannten Bedingungen oder Eigenschaften genügen. Die Erfindung baut sich auf dieser Entdeckung auf.
- Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, Schmierölzusammensetzungen, die für den menschlichen Körper sicher sind und die ausgezeichnete Eigenschaften hinsichtlich der Schmierfähigkeit, der Verhinderung der Rostbildung und der Oxidationsstabilität haben, zur Verwendung in anderen Kompressoren, als wie sie in Nahrungsmittel verarbeitenden Maschinen verwendet werden, bereitzustellen.
- Demgemäß stellt die vorliegende Erfindung die Verwendung einer Schmierölzusammensetzung in anderen Kompressoren als solchen, die in Nahrungsmittel verarbeitenden Maschinen verwendet werden, bereit, wobei die genannte Zusammensetzung (I) als Basisöl ein gesättigtes Fettsäureglycerid der allgemeinen Formel
- worin R&sub1;, R&sub2; und R&sub3; gleich oder verschieden sein können und jeweils für eine geradkettige Alkylgruppe mit 5 bis 21 Kohlenstoffatomen stehen, und (II) als eine wesentliche Komponente eine Fettsäure mit 12 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatomen in einer Menge von 0,001 bis 5,0 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die Gesamtzusammensetzung, enthält.
- Nachstehend wird die Erfindung im Detail näher erläutert.
- Ein erfindungsgemäß verwendetes Fettsäureglycerid (I) wird durch die folgende allgemeine Formel
- dargestellt, worin R&sub1;, R&sub2; und R&sub3; gleich oder verschieden sein können und jeweils für eine geradkettige Alkylgruppe mit 5 bis 21, vorzugsweise 5 bis 11 Kohlenstoffatomen, steht. Wenn ein solches Glycerid verwendet wird, das geradkettige Alkylgruppen mit einer Anzahl der Kohlenstoffatome außerhalb des erfindungsgemäß definierten Bereichs enthält oder das verzweigtkettige Alkylgruppen enthält oder das ungesättigte Gruppen enthält, dann hat die resultierende Ölzusammensetzung ungünstige Eigenschaften hinsichtlich der Viskosität, des Stockpunkts, der Oxidationsstabilität und dergleichen.
- Beispiele für die Gruppen R&sub1;, R&sub2; und R&sub3; in der allgemeinen Formel für die geradkettige Alkylgruppe in dem gesättigten Fettsäureglycerid (I) sind Pentyl-, Hexyl-, Heptyl-, Octyl-, Nonyl-, Decyl-, Undecyl-, Dodecyl-, Tridecyl-, Tetradecyl-, Pentadecyl-, Hexadecyl-, Heptadecyl-, Octadecyl-, Nonadecyl-, Eicosyl- und Heneicosylgruppen.
- Obgleich das Herstellungsverfahren für das gesättigte Fettsäureglycerid (I) keinen speziellen Beschränkungen unterworfen ist, ist ein typisches Verfahren ein solches, das die Stufen der Hydrolyse von natürlichen Ölen oder Fetten zur Abtrennung des Glycerins von den entsprechenden Fettsäuren, die Extraktion nur der gesättigten Fettsäuren daraus und die Umsetzung der extrahierten gesättigten Fettsäuren mit dem Glycerin zum Erhalt des Glycerids (I) umfaßt.
- Das erfindungsgemäß verwendete gesättigte Fettsäureglycerid (I) ist für den menschlichen Körper ziemlich harmlos, was aus der Tatsache hervorgeht, daß dieses Glycerid als Nahrungsmitteladditiv bezeichnet wird.
- Die erfindungsgemäß verwendete Komponente (II) ist eine Fettsäure mit 12 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatomen, vorzugsweise eine gesättigte Fettsäure mit 12 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen. Wenn anstelle der Komponente (II) eine Fettsäure mit einer Anzahl der Kohlenstoffatome außerhalb des erfindungsgemäß definierten Bereichs verwendet wird, dann hat die resultierende Ölzusammensetzung hinsichtlich der Oxidationsstabilität, der Schmierfähigkeit und dergleichen schlechte Eigenschaften.
- Die erfindungsgemäß verwendeten Fettsäuren (II) mit 12 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatomen können natürlich vorkommende oder synthetische sein, und sie können geradkettige oder verzweigtkettige sein. Beispiele für die Fettsäuren (II) sind Laurinsäure, Tridecylsäure, Myristinsäure, Pentadecylsäure, Palmitinsäure, Heptadecylsäure, Stearinsäure, Nonadecansäure, Arachinsäure, Behensäure, Ölsäure, Elaidinsäure, Cetoleinsäure, Erucasäure, Brassidinsäure, Linolsäure, Linolensäure, Arachidonsäure, Stearolsäure und Gemische davon. Unter diesen Fettsäuren werden gesättigte Fettsäuren mit 14, 16, 18 oder 20 Kohlenstoffatomen und Gemische von mindestens zwei Arten der gesättigten Fettsäuren bevorzugt.
- Diese Fettsäuren sind für den menschlichen Körper ziemlich harmlos, was aus der Tatsache hervorgeht, daß sie als Aromatisierungsadditive für Nahrungsmittel designiert worden sind und daß sie auch als Standardprodukte von Rohmaterialien für Kosmetika nominiert worden sind.
- Die Menge der gesättigten Fettsäure mit 12 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatomen, die in die erfindungsgemäße Schmierölzusammensetzung eingearbeitet wird, liegt im Bereich von 0,001 bis 5,0 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 0,01 bis 1,0 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die Gesamtmenge der Zusammensetzung. Wenn der Gehalt der Fettsäure geringer als der obige erfindungsgemäß definierte Bereich ist, dann ist die resultierende Zusammensetzung hinsichtlich der Oxidationsstabilität, der Verhinderung der Rostbildung und der Schmierfähigkeit nicht zufriedenstellend. Andererseits wird, wenn der Gehalt der Fettsäure oberhalb des genannten Bereichs liegt, kein weiterer Vorteil erhalten.
- Erfindungsgemäß wird dem gesättigten Fettsäureglycerid (I) als Basisöl eine spezielle Menge einer Fettsäure mit 12 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatomen (II) als wesentliche Komponente zugesetzt, wodurch eine Schmierölzusammensetzung mit ausgezeichneten Eigenschaften erhalten wird. Weiterhin können Dibutylhydroxytoluole und/oder Tocopherole (Vitamin E) der Zusammensetzung zugesetzt werden, um die Eigenschaften der Zusammensetzung als Schmieröl zu steigern. Beispiele für die Dibutylhydroxytoluole und/oder Tocopherole sind 2,6- Di-tert.-butyl-4-hydroxytoluol, α-Tocopherol, β-Tocopherol, γ-Tocopherol, δ-Tocopherol und Gemische davon.
- Diese Verbindungen sind als Antioxidationsadditive für Nahrungsmittel designiert worden, und sie sind für den menschlichen Körper ziemlich harmlos.
- Wenn die Dibutylhydroxytoluole und/oder Tocopherole zu dem Glycerid (I) und der Fettsäure (II) erfindungsgemäß gegeben werden sollen, dann werden diese Additive der resultierenden Schmierölzusammensetzung in einer Menge von 0,01 bis 5,0 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 0,01 bis 1,0 Gew.-%, der Gesamtmenge der Zusammensetzung zugesetzt.
- Um die Leistungen der Schmierölzusammensetzung weiter zu verbessern, können dieser weitere Additive, wie erforderlich, zugesetzt werden. Solche ausgewählten Additive sollten aber gegenüber dem menschlichen Körper harmlos sein, und sie können daher aus diesem Grunde höhere aliphatische Alkohole, wie Oleylalkohol, tierische und pflanzliche Öle oder teilweise hydrierte Derivate davon, Ester höherer aliphatischer Säuren, wie Methyllaurat und Butylstearat, Mittel zur Verhinderung der Oxidation, wie tert.-Butylhydroxyanisol, Sorbitanester von aliphatischen Säuren, die rostverhindernde Mittel sind, z.B. Sorbitanmonooleat, und Saccharoseester von aliphatischen Säuren, wie Saccharosemonolaurat, einschließen.
- Diese Additive können einzeln oder miteinander verwendet werden. Obgleich die verwendete Menge des Additivs keinen speziellen Beschränkungen unterworfen ist, beträgt die bevorzugte Menge des Additivs 20,0 Gew.-% oder weniger, mehr bevorzugt 0,1 bis 10,0 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die Gesamtzusammensetzung.
- Die erfindungsgemäßen Schmierölzusammensetzungen können nicht nur vorzugsweise insbesondere als solche für Kornpressoren verwendet werden, sondern sie können auch vorzugsweise als Metallverarbeitungsöle für das Schneiden, Schleifen, Walzen und dergleichen, und als Schmieröle für Gleitführungsoberflächen, hydraulisch betätigte Einrichtungen, Ketten, Lager, Kettensägen und dergleichen verwendet werden, wo es sein kann, daß die Schmieröle mit dem menschlichen Körper in Kontakt kommen.
- Die Erfindung wird anhand der folgenden Beispiele und Vergleichsbeispiele näher erläutert. Die vorliegende Erfindung ist aber nicht auf die in den Beispielen beschriebenen Ausführungsformen begrenzt.
- Es wurden Schmierölzusammensetzungen mit den jeweiligen Zusammensetzungen gemäß Tabelle 1 (Beispiele 1 bis 5) erhalten. Die so erhaltenen Zusammensetzungen wurden auf ihre Eigenschaften (Verschleißbeständigkeit, Verhinderung der Rostbildung, Oxidationsstabilität und Nutzdauer, bewertet geschätzt, unter Verwendung einer tatsächlichen Vorrichtung) nach den folgenden Methoden untersucht. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle 1 zusammengestellt. Zum Vergleich wurden ein Vergleichsöl, bestehend nur aus dem Glycerid (I) (Vergleichsbeispiel 1) und ein weiteres Vergleichsöl, bestehend nur aus flüssigem Paraffin (Vergleichsbeispiel 2), wie in den Beispielen 1 bis 5 auf ihre Eigenschaften getestet. Die Ergebnisse sind gleichfalls in Tabelle 1 zusammengestellt.
- Unter Verwendung der Testöle wurden die Abzugdurchmesser (mm), die durch den Verschleiß bewirkt wurden, als Verschleißbeständigkeit gemäß "Verschleißverhindernde Eigenschaften von Schmierfluiden (VIERKUGEL-METHODE)", beschrieben in der ASTM D 4172, bei den Bedingungen 1200 UpM, 15 kg und 30 min gemessen.
- Die Verhinderung der Rostbildung bei den einzelnen Testölen wurden gemäß "Verfahren zum Testen der Verhinderung der Rostbildung bei Schmierölen (Verfahren unter Verwendung von destilliertem Wasser)", beschrieben in der JIS- Norm K 2510, gemessen.
- Die Stabilität gegenüber Oxidation (min) der einzelnen Testöle wurde bei 120ºC gemäß "Drehbomben-Oxidationsstabilitäts-Testverfahren", beschrieben in der JIS-Norm K 2514 3.3, gemessen.
- Die Nutzungsdauer der einzelnen Testöle wurde durch kontinuierliches Betreiben eines Schraubenkompressors, hergestellt von KOBE STEEL, LTD. (Motorleistung: 6 kW), bestimmt, wobei das Testöl als Schmieröl bei den Bedingungen eines Tankdrucks von 7 kg/cm² und einer mittleren Tanköltemperatur von 80ºC verwendet wurde. - Wie aus den obigen Ergebnissen in Tabelle 1 hervorgeht, haben die erfindungsgemäßen Schmierölzusammensetzungen ausgezeichnete Eigenschaften hinsichtlich der Schmierfähigkeit, der Verhinderung der Rostbildung und der Oxidationsstabilität im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen Schmierölen. Weiterhin sind sie gegenüber dem menschlichen Körper ziemlich sicher.
Claims (3)
1. Verwendung einer Schmierölzusammensetzung in
anderen Kompressoren als solchen, die in
Nahrungsmittelverarbeitungsmaschinen eingesetzt werden, wobei die genannte
Zusammensetzung (I) als Basisöl ein gesättigtes
Fettsäureglycerid der allgemeinen Formel
worin R&sub1;, R&sub2; und R&sub3; gleich oder verschieden sein können
und jeweils für eine geradkettige Alkylgruppe mit 5 bis 21
Kohlenstoffatomen stehen, und (II) als eine wesentliche
Komponente eine Fettsäure mit 12 bis 22 Kohlenstoffatomen
in einer Menge von 0,001 bis 5,0 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die
Gesamtzusammensetzung, enthält.
2. Verwendung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß die Zusammensetzung
weiterhin mindestens eines Substanz, ausgewählt aus der
Gruppe bestehend aus Dibutylhydroxytoluolen und
Tocopherolen in einer Menge von 0,01 bis 5,0 Gew.-%, bezogen auf
die Gesamtzusammensetzung, enthält.
3. Verwendung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß die Fettsäure eine
Substanz, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus
gesättigten Fettsäuren mit 14, 16, 18 oder 20
Kohlenstoffatomen, und Gemischen von mindestens 2 Arten der gesättigten
Fettsäuren ist.
