Claims (10)

Hampshire Chemical Corporation Pl/rk Patentansprüche
1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von 3-Mercaptopropionsaure, umfassend:
a) Umsetzen eines molaren Überschusses von Acrylnitril mit alkalischem Hydrogensulfid, um Thiodiproprionitril zu bilden;
b) Umsetzen des Thiodipropionitrils mit alkalischem Hydrogensulfid in Gegenwart einer Basef um 3-Mercaptopropionitril zu bilden; und
c) Ansäuern des erhaltenen Nitrils mit einer starken Säure.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, bei dem das alkalische Hydrogensulfid Natriumhydrogensulfid ist.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, bei dem die Base ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Kaliumhydroxid, Natriumhydroxid und Triethanolamin.
4. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, bei dem die starke Säure HCl ist.
5. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, bei dem das Acrylnitril mit dem alkalischen Hydrogensulfid in einem molaren Überschuß von 2:1 umgesetzt wird.
6. Verfahren zur Herstellung von 3-Mercaptopropionitril, umfassend:
a) Umsetzen des molaren Überschusses von Acrylnitril mit alkalischem Hydrogensulfid, um Thiodipropionitril zu
bilden;
b) Umsetzen des Thiodipropionitrils mit alkalischem
Hydrogensulfid in Gegenwart einer Base, um 3-Mercaptopropionitril zu bilden.
7. Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, bei dem das alkalische
Hydrogensulfid Natriumhvdrogensulfid ist.
8. Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, bei dem die Base ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Kaliumbydroxid, Natriumhydroxid und Triethanolamin.
9. Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, bei dem das Acrylnitril mit dem alkalischen Hydrogensulfid in einem molaren Überschuß von 2:1 umgesetzt wird.
10. Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, darüber hinaus umfassend
das Verseifen des erhaltenen 3-Mercaptopropionitrils.
