Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft 2-Alkylmerkapto-4-(trifluormethyl)-benzoesäureester der Formel (II), worin R1 und R2 unabhängig voneinander (C1-C6) Alkyl bedeuten und ein Verfahren zu ihrer Herstelung, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß 3,4-Dichlorbenzotrifluorid elektrochemisch an einer Anode mit CO2 zu 2-Chlor-4-(trifluormethyl)-benzoat umgesetzt, in den entsprechenden Benzoesäureester der Formel (I) überführt und anschließend mit einem Alkylmerkaptid R2S⊖ umgesetzt wird.
