Description
- Verfahren zur Herstellung.primärer Alkohole Es wurde gefunden, daß man in glatter Reaktion zu primären Alkoholen gelangt, wenn man Alkylenoxyde mit endständiger Oxidogruppe, entsprechend der Formel (R = Wasserstoff, Alkyl, Aryl, oder Aralkyl, R'=Alkyl, Aryl oder Aralkyl) in Gegenwart von Katalysatoren mit Wasserstoff behandelt. Als Katalysatoren können die als Wasserstoffüberträger bekannten Stoffe, insbesondere fein verteilte Metalle der B. Gruppe des periodischen Systems, für sich oder in Verbindung mit Trägerstoffen oder Aktivatoren dienen. Die Wasserstoffanlagerung kann sowohl in gasförmiger wie in flüssiger Phase unter normalem wie unter @erhöhtem Druck erfolgen. Die Temperatur der Hydrierung ist sorgfältig so zu wählen, daß eine Zersetzung des Oxyds oder des daraus entstehenden Alkohols nicht eintreten kann.
- Man hat bereits Cyclohexenoxyd durch katalytische Hydrierung inCyclohexanolübergeführt und daran die Vermutung geknüpft, daß sich die Äthylenoxyde allgemein wahrscheinlich über Nickel würden hydrieren lassen. Hieraus läßt sich indessen nicht erkennen, daß die katalytische Hydrierung von Alkylenoxyden mit endständiger Gruppe in technisch brauchbarer Weise primäre Alkohole ergibt.
- Beispiel i Propylenoxyd wird zusammen mit Wasserstoff bei etwa 17o° über fein verteiltes Nickel geleitet. Der in der Vorlage verdichtete Propylalkohol wird von etwa unverändertem Propylenoxyd durch Destillation getrennt.
- Beispiel a Eine wäßrige Lösung, welche 18o Teile kristallisiertes Kupferformiat enthält, wird eingetrocknet mit 15 Teilen fein verteiltem Magnesiumpyrophosphat, das man durch Erhitzen von Magnesiumammoniumphosphat hergestellt hat. Das völlig trockene Pulver wird mit Wasserglas auf gekörnten Bimsstein aufgetragen. Nach sorgfältiger Reduktion leitet man über den Katalysator bei aio° dampfförmiges Propylenoxyd zusammen mit überschüssigem Wasserstoff mit einer Strömungsgeschwindigkeit von q.o bis 6o @g pro Liter, Kontakt und Stunde. Die Wasserstoffmenge in dem Gasgemisch wird so bemessen, daß dessen Gehalt an Propylenoxyd 3 bis 6 % beträgt. Aus dem Kondensat gewinnt man n-Propylalkohol in guter Ausbeute.
- Beispiel 3 6o Teile eines aus Kupfernitratlösung mit Pottasche gefällten basischen Kupfercarhonats werden mit io Teilen Mangancarbonat innig gemischt und mit Wasserglas als Bindemittel auf Bimsstein aufgetragen. Über den bei 23o° reduzierten Katalysator leitet man bei 17o° im Wasserstoffstrom dampfförmiges Propylenoxyd unter Einhaltung der obenerwähnten. Versuchsbedingungen. Aus dem Kondensat gewinnt man n-Propylalk-ohol in einer Ausbeute von etwa 75 % der Theorie.
- Beispiel q.
- 130g basisches Kupfercarbonat werden mit Wasserglas auf goo ccm gekörnten Aluminiumgrießes aufgetragen. Über den bei 200 bis 23o° im Wasserstoffstrom sorgfältig reduzierten Katalysator leitet man zusammen mit überschüssigem Wasserstoff technisches Butylenoxyd bei i 5o'. Aus dem Kondensat gewinnt man neben Butanol und geringen Mengen von Methyläthylketonungefähr 65 % an Isoblutylalkohol und sekundärem Butylalkohol. Beispiel s Die Dämpfe von Styroloxyd werden zusammen mit Wasserstoff bei 17o bis i8o° über auf Calciumcarbonat niedergeschlagenes, fein verteiltes Nickel geleitet. Neben unverändertem Styroloxyd wird [3-Phenyläthylalkohol erhalten, der Spuren Phenylacetaldehydenthält.
Claims (1)
- PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung von primären Alkoholen, darin bestehend, daß man solche Alkylenoxyde mit mehr als zwei Kohlenstoffatomen, die eine endständige Oxidogruppe besitzen, in Gegenwart von Katalysatoren mit Wasserstoff behandelt.
