A 9
Zweck gegenwärtiger Erfindung ist der Ersatz bezw. die Verbilligung des Moschus.
Toluol wird mit den Halogenverbindungen des Butans gemischt und am Rückflufskühler
unter Zusatz von Aluminiumchlorid oder AIuminiumbromid gekocht. Das Reactionsproduct
wird mit Wasser versetzt und mit Wasserdampf destillirt, die zwischen 170 bis 200° C. übergehende
Fraction aufgefangen und mit rauchender Salpetersäure und rauchender Schwefelsäure
behandelt. Das erhaltene Product wird nach dem Waschen mit Wasser aus Alkohol umkrystallisirt.
Man erhält gelblich weifse, stark nach Moschus riechende Krystalle, welche, in Alkohol gelöst und mit einer Spur Ammoniak
oder Ammoniumcarbonat versetzt, eine der Moschustinctur höchst ähnliche Flüssigkeit
liefern.
Claims (1)
- Patent-Anspruch:Verfahren zur Herstellung von künstlichem Moschus, darin bestehend, dafs Toluol mit Butylchlorid, -bromid oder -jodid und Aluminiumchlorid erhitzt, das Reactionsproduct mit Wasser versetzt und mit Dampf destillirt wird, die bei 170 bis 200 ° siedende Fraction mit rauchender Salpeter- und Schwefelsäure behandelt und das aus Alkohol umkrystallisirfe Product mit etwas Ammoniak oder Ammoniumcarbonat versetzt wird.
