Description
Die Erfindung betrifft die thermische Stabilisierung
von Phosphorsäureestern und Schädlingsbekämpfungs
mitteln, die Phosphorsäureester als Wirkstoff enthalten.
Unter "Phosphorsäureestern" sind im Rahmen der
Anmeldung nicht nur Derivate der Orthophosphorsäure zu
verstehen, sondern generell der verschiedenen Säuren
des Phosphors, deren Ester in Schädlingsbekämpfungs
mitteln benutzt werden, insbesondere auch Thiol- und
Thionphosphorsäuren. In der unten eingefügten Liste
sind Beispiele für verschiedene der hier angesprochenen
Verbindungstypen aufgeführt.
Insektizide Phosphorester werden weltweit zur
Bekämpfung von tierischen Schadorganismen verwendet.
Viele der eingesetzten Phosphorester besitzen gegenüber
stabilen Insektiziden wie DDT, Lindan u. a. den
gravierenden Nachteil, thermisch und oxidativ schnell
abgebaut zu werden. Dies führt dazu, daß viele
Präparate, hergestellt aus diesen Phosphorestern,
Einschränkungen unterworfen sind, da ihre Haltbarkeit,
insbesondere unter tropischen Bedingungen, mangelhaft
ist.
Unter diesen Phosphorestern ist z. B. Dimethoate,
O,O-dimethyl-S-methylcarbamoylmethyl-phosphoro
dithioate, eines der weltweit am meisten verwendetes
und relativ billiges Insektizid. Seine gravierenden
Nachteile liegen in seiner ausgeprägten thermischen
Instabilität, die bei Temperaturen um 50°C sogar zu
unkontrollierten thermischen Zersetzungen bis hin zu
Explosionen führen kann. Diese Instabilität besitzt
Dimethoate in verstärktem Maße in Zubereitungen, wie
sie in der Regel für die Bekämpfung von Insekten zur
Anwendung kommen. Dies führt zu gravierenden
Nachteilen, insbesondere in heißen Entwicklungsländern,
die auf die Verwendung billiger Pflanzenschutzmittel
angewiesen sind. Einerseits lassen viele in diesen
Ländern verfügbaren Läger einen Schutz vor starker
Sonneneinwirkung nicht zu, andererseits ist
insbesondere beim Transport in Lastwagen mit offenen
Pritschen ohne Sonnenschutz und beim Zwischenlagern im
Freien eine hohe Temperaturbelastung nicht zu
vermeiden. Der dadurch bedingte schnelle Abbau der
Phosphorester, insbesondere des Dimethoates, hat im
Ergebnis zur Folge, daß eine nicht akzeptable Menge an
unbrauchbarer Ware durch Überlagerung oder falscher
Lagerung erzeugt wird, deren Abfallbeseitigung in
vielen Fällen ein Problem darstellt, ganz abgesehen vom
Wertverlust. In gravierenden Fällen sind sogar Brände
durch Selbstentzündung bekannt geworden.
Überraschenderweise wurde nun gefunden, daß
Phosphorsäureester-Formulierungen wesentlich stabiler
sind, wenn ihnen pflanzliche oder tierische Öle oder
ungesättigte Fettsäuren zugesetzt werden.
Als pflanzliche Fettsäuren kommen die mittleren und
insbesondere die höheren Fettsäuren dieses Typs in
Betracht, z. B. Ölsäure, Linolsäure, Linolensäure.
Hervorzuheben sind Fettsäuren, die einen
Cyclopropenring als Baustein enthalten, etwa
Sterculinsäure und Malvalinsäure bzw. Öle, in denen
diese Säuren enthalten sind. Öle dieser Art sind z. B.
im Samen des Kapoc-Baums (Cieba pentandra) und in den
Samen von Sterculia Spezies, insbesondere von Sercula
foetida enthalten. Auch in anderen Gewächsen, z. B.
Durian (Durio zibethinus), Gnemon (Gnetum genemon) und
in Spezies der Familie der Malvaceen finden sich diese
Cyclopropenfettsäuren.
Als Beispiele für Phosphorsäurederivate, die gemäß der
Erfindung stabilisiert werden können, seien genannt:

Die Phosphorsäurederivate können in an sich bekannter
Weise formuliert werden, wobei durch Zusatz von
Fettsäuren und Ölen, vor allem von
Cyclopropenfettsäuren bzw. von Ölen, die solche
Cyclopropenfettsäuren enthaltenden, eine beträchtliche
Verbesserung der Stabilität erzielt wird.
Als Pflanzenöle mit hohem Anteil an ungesättigten
Fettsäuren seien beispielsweise genannt:

Die erfindungsgemäß verwendbaren Öle haben eine Jodzahl
von 80 oder mehr, vorzugsweise <100.
Der Gehalt der erfindungsgemäßen Formulierungen an den
stabilisierenden Fettsäuren oder Ölen beträgt 3-75,
vorzugsweise 10-50 Gew.-%.
Der folgende Vergleich zeigt die überragenden
Eigenschaften von Cyclopropenfettsäuren als
Stabilisator z. B. von Dimetheoate.

Die Stabilisierungsfähigkeit hängt vom Verhältnis
Dimethoate zu Cyclopropenfettsäuren ab, wobei schon
wenige Prozent dieser Verbindungen Dimethoate zu
stabilisieren vermögen.
Daß mit Cyclopropenfettsäuren auch andere instabile
Phosphoerester stabilisiert werden können, ist besonders
für diejenigen von hohem Interesse, die auf Grund ihrer
Instabilität keine breite Anwendung finden konnten.
Bei einem Emulsionskonzentrat (3) mit 100 g/l
Dimethoate und 10 Gew.-% Baumwollsaatöl wurden die
folgenden prozentualen Abbauwerte gefunden:
(4) ist ein Emulsionskonzentrat, bei dem der Ölzusatz
unterblieb.
Claims (7)
1. Thermisch stabilisierte Insektizidzubereitungen,
die als Wirkstoff einen oder mehrere übliche
insektizide Phosphorsäureester und daneben übliche
Hilfs- und/oder Trägerstoffe enthalten,
gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt an pflanzlichen
oder tierischen Ölen oder mittleren bis höheren
ungesättigten Fettsäuren.
2. Thermisch stabilisierte Insektizidzubereitungen
nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als
stabilisierende Fettsäure eine
Cyclopropencarbonsäure verwendet wird oder ein Öl
mit einem Gehalt von mehr als 1 Gew.-% an einer
solchen Säure.
3. Insektizidzubereitung nach Anspruch 2, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß als stabilisierende Substanz
Malvalin- oder Sterculinsäure oder Öl aus Samen
des Kapok-Baums oder von Sterculia Spezies dient.
4. Insektizidzubereitung nach Anspruch 1 bis 3,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie als Insektizid
Dimethoate enthält.
5. Thermische Stabilisierung von insektiziden
Phosphorsäureestern oder Insektizidzubereitungen,
die Phosphorsäureester enthalten, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß pflanzliche oder tierische Öle
oder mittlere bis höhere ungesättigte Fettsäure
zugesetzt werden.
6. Thermische Stabilisierung nach Anspruch 5, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß der Insektizidwirkstoff
Dimethoate ist.
7. Thermische Stabilisierung nach Anspruch 5 oder 6,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als
Stabilisierungsmittel ungesättigte höhere
Fettsäuren oder Cyclopropencarbonsäuren oder Öle
verwendet werden, die mindestens 1 Gew.-% einer
solchen Cyclopropencarbonsäure enthalten.
