Die Erfindung betrifft neue Azopigmente sowie ein Verfahren zur Herstellung derselben. Insbesondere betrifft
die Erfindung neue Azopigmente, welche eine ausgezeichnete Lösungsmittelechtheit, Hitzeechtheit und Färbekraft
aufweisen.
Es ist bereits eine Vielzahl von Azopigmenten für verschiedenste Verwendungszwecke bekannt. Diese bekannten
Azopigmente sind jedoch nicht in jeder Hinsicht befriedigend. Die Erfinder haben daher Azopigmente gesucht, welche
verschiedene verbesserte Echtheitseigenschaften aufweisen, insbesondere eine verbesserte Lösungsmittelbeständigkeit
und eine verbesserte Witterungsbeständigkeit.
Es ist Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, neue Azopigmente zu schaffen, welche verschiedene verbesserte
Echtheitseigenschaften aufweisen, und zwar insbesondere eine verbesserte Witterungsfestigkeit und eine verbesserte
Lösungsmittelfestigkeit. Es ist ferner Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, ein Verfahren zur Herstellung der neuen Azopigmente
zu schaffen.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch Azopigmente
der folgenden Formeln gelöst.

Die Azopigmente können hergestellt werden durch Kuppeln einer Kupplungskomponente mit einer Diazoniumverbindung

Aromatische Amine der Formel (III), welche bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren eingesetzt werden, sind aus
der JA-PS 24561/1974 bekannt.
Zum Beispiel können die aromatischen Amine (III) leicht hergestellt werden durch Kondensation eines 3-Imino-1-oxoisoindolin-Derivats
oder eines 3,3-Dichlor-i-oxoisoindolin-Derivats
mit einem aromatischen Diamin in einem Lösungsmittel.
Geeignete aromatische Diamine sind Phenylendiamine Diaminodiphenyl, Diaminostilben, Diamin-anthrachinon, Di-

aminonaphthalin, Diaminodiphenylalkan, Diaminofluoren, Diaminopyridin,

Bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren können die Azopigmente hergestellt werden durch Kuppeln einer Kupplungskomponente mit einer Diazoniumverbindung eines aromatischen
Amins der Formel (III), und zwar nach üblichen Kupplungsverfahren zur Herstellung von Azopigmenten.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren zur Herstellung von Azopigmenten können folgendermaßen klassifiziert werden:
(1) Ein aromatisches Amin der Formel (III) wird mit salpetriger Säure in Wasser, einem organischen Lösungsmittel
oder einem Gemisch derselben umgesetzt, wobei ein Diazoniumsalz erhalten wird. Andererseits wird eine Kupplungskomponente
in Wasser, einem organischen Lösungsmittel oder einem Gemisch derselben aufgelöst oder dispergiert, wobei eine Lösung
des Kupplers erhalten wird. Sodann gibt man das Diazoniumsalz zur Lösung des Kupplers oder die Lösung des Kupplers

wird zu dem Diazoniumsalz gegeben, wobei die Kupplungsreaktion stattfindet und das Azopigment gebildet wird.
(2) Ein aromatisches Amin der Formel (III) und eine Kupplungskomponente werden zu Wasser, einem organischen
Lösungsmittel oder einem Gemisch derselben gegeben und vermischt, und dann gibt man eine Quelle für salpetrige Säure
in Form eines Gemisches von Natriumnitrit und einer Säure, wie Salzsäure oder Essigsäure, hinzu, wobei Diazotierung
und Kupplung gleichzeitig unter Bildung des Azopigments stattfinden.
Bei der Diazotierung setzt man das aromatische Amin der Formel (III) vorzugsweise mit einer Konzentration von
etwa 1 bis 10 Gew.% ein. Andererseits ist es bevorzugt, die Kupplungskomponente mit einer Konzentration von etwa 0,5
bis 10 Gew.% einzusetzen. Die Diazotierung sollte unter schwach sauren bis stark sauren Bedingungen stattfinden.
Bei der Kupplungsreaktion hängt der optimale pH-Wert von der Art der Kupplungskomponente ab. Wenn man Wasser oder ein
Gemisch von Wasser und einem organischen Lösungsmittel als Medium verwendet, so beträgt der pH des Reaktionssystems
bei der Kupplungsreaktion vorzugsweise etwa 4 bis 7 im Falle einer Kupplungskomponente vom Anilidtyp oder etwa 7 bis
im Falle einer Kupplungskomponente vom Naphtholtyp oder etwa 4 bis 10 im Falle einer Kupplungskomponente vom Pyrazolontyp.
Als Medium kann man bei der Kupplungsreaktion Wasser, ein organisches Lösungsmittel oder ein Gemisch derselben
einsetzen. Das Reaktionssystem kann je nach der Art der Kupplungskomponente ausgewählt werden. Wenn das aromatische
Amin der Formel (III) und die Kupplungskomponente Verbindungen mit relativ niedrigem Molekulargewicht sind, so bestehen
keine Beschränkungen hinsichtlich des Reaktionsmediums, und man kann Wasser verwenden, da es besonders wirtschaftlich
ist. Wenn andererseits entweder das aromatische

Amin (III) oder die Kupplungskomponente oder beide Verbindungen mit relativ höherem Molekulargewicht sind, so ist es
bevorzugt, als Medium ein organisches Lösungsmittel zu verwenden. Die Bedingungen der Kupplungsreaktion hängen ab vom
Ausgangsmaterial,und vorzugsweise wird die Kupplungsreaktion bei einer Temperatur von etwa O bis 5O0C während 1 bis 10 h
durchgeführt.

von Wasser und einem organischen Lösungsmittel verwendet, so ist die Kupplungsreaktionsgeschwindigkeit relativ hoch, und
es ist bevorzugt, die Kupplungsreaktion bei relativ niedriger Temperatur stattfinden zu lassen. Andererseits arbeitet man
vorzugsweise bei einer relativ hohen Temperatur, wenn man die Kupplungsreaktion in einem organischen Lösungsmittel
durchführt. Geeignete organische Lösungsmittel für das Reaktionssystem sind Essigsäure, Propionsäure, Benzol, Toluol,
Xylol, Nitrobenzol, Chlorbenzol, Dichlorbenzol und Trichlorbenzol.
Im folgenden seien die typischen Azopigmente der vorliegenden Erfindung nochmals zusammengestellt:

Die nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren erhaltenen Azopigmente haben eine ausgezeichnete Lösungsmittelechtheit

sowie eine hohe Lichtechtheit, Hitzeechtheit, Wasserechtheit, Säureechtheit und Basenechtheit sowie eine äußerst
hohe Färbekraft. Sie können mit hoher Effizienz als Pigmente verwendet werden.
Im folgenden wird die Erfindung anhand von Beispielen näher erläutert. Alle Teilangaben sind Gewichtsteilangaben.
3,75 Teile 3-(4-Aminophenylimino)-1-oxo-4,5,6,7-tetrachlorisoindolin
werden in 11,3 Teilen Eisessig suspendiert, und dann gibt man 3,7 Teile konz. Salzsäure*hinzu.
Das Gemisch wird gerührt, und 2,6 Teile Wasser werden zugesetzt. Danach wird das Gemisch bei O bis 5°C stehengelassen
und mit 2,0 Teilen einer 40%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Natriumnitrit
versetzt. Das Gemisch wird bei der gleichen Temperatur während etwa 30 min gerührt, wobei man ein gelbes Diazoniumsalz
erhält.
Andererseits gibt man 1,8 Teile Acetoacetanilid zu
einer wäßrigen Lösung von 80 Teilen Wasser und 0,4 Teilen Natriumhydroxid, worauf unter Rühren Auflösung herbeigeführt
wird. Danach gibt man 4,75 Teile Natriumacetat-trihydrat hinzu sowie 0,7 Teile Essigsäure. Dabei erhält man eine mit
Essigsäure angesäuerte Suspension.
Die Lösung des Diazoniumsalzes wird tropfenweise zu der angesäuerten Suspension gegeben, wobei eine Kupplungsreaktion stattfindet. Man erhält 4,6 Teile eines brillantorangen Azopigments der Formel

Dieses Pigment wurde zusammen mit einem herkömmlichen
Pigment (Hansa Gelb Gs CI. 11680) geprüft. Die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle II zusammengestellt.
Beispiel 2
4,24 Teile 3-(2-Methyl-4-amino-5-chlorphenylimino)-1-oxo-4,5,6,7-tetrachlorisoindolin
werden in 12,7 Teilen Eisessig suspendiert und mit 3»7 Teilen konz. Salzsäure versetzt.
Dann wird das Gemisch gerührt und mit 2,6 Teilen Wasser versetzt, und die Mischung wird bei 0 bis 5?C stehengelassen
und mit 2,0 Teilen einer 4O?6igen wäßrigen Lösung
von Natriumnitrit versetzt. Die Mischung wird bei der gleichen Temperatur während etwa 1 h gerührt« Man erhält ein blaßgelbes Diazoniumsalz.
Andererseits gibt man 4,1 Teile Acetoaceto-m-xylidid
zu einer Lösung von 88 Teilen Methanol und 0,4 Teilen Natriumhydroxid, wobei unter Rühren Auflösung herbeigeführt wird.
Dann gibt man 4,75 Teile Natriumacetat-trihydrat hinzu sowie
0,7 Teile Essigsäure, wobei man eine mit Essigsäure angesäuerte Methanolsuspendion erhält. Die Lösung des Diazoniumwird
tropfenweise zu der sauren Suspension gegeben, wobei die Kupplungsreaktion stattfindet. Das erhaltene, rohe Azopigment
wird aus o-Dichlorbenzol pigmentisiert, wobei man
ein orangegefärbtes Azopigment der Formel

Mit diesem Pigment und einem bekannten Pigment (HansaGelb As CI. 11735) wurden Versuche durchgeführt. Die
Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle II zusammengestellt.
3,6 Teile 3-(4-Aminophenylimino)-»1-oxo--4,5,6,7-tetrachlorisoindolin
werden zu einem Gemisch von 30,0 Teilen konz. Salzsäure und 3fO Teilen Eisessig gegeben, und das Gemisch
wird gerührt und bei 0 bis 5°C stehengelassen und mit 8,0 Teilen einer 1Oxigen wäßrigen Lösung von Natriumnitrit
versetzt. Dann wird die Mischung 1 h bei der gleichen Temperatur gerührtj wobei man ein gelbes Diazoniumsalz erhält.
Andererseits gibt man 2S8 Teile 2,5-Dimethoxy-4-chloracetoacetanilid
unter Auflösung in eine wäßrige Lösung von 200 Teilen Wasser und 1,0 Teil Natriumhydroxid. Dann
gibt man 38„5 Teile Natriumacetat sowie Essigsäure hinzu,
wobei eine mit Essigsäure angesäuerte Suspension erhält.
Die erhaltene, wäßrige Lösung des Diazoniumsalzes wird tropfenweise zu der angesäuerten Suspension gegeben,
wobei die Kupplungsreaktion stattfindet. Das erhaltene, rohe Pigment wird mit o-Dichlorbenzol pigmentisiert, wobei man
ein rötlich-orangegefärbtes Azopigment der folgenden Formel

Mit diesem Pigment und mit dem bekannten Pigment wurden verschiedene Tests durchgeführt, und die Ergebnisse
sind in Tabelle II zusammengestellt.

wobei man das gleiche Azopigment wie in Beispiel 1 erhält. Mit diesem Pigment und dem bekannten Pigment werden
verschiedene Tests durchgeführt, und die Ergebnisse sind in
Tabelle II zusammengestellt.

Die Eigenschaften des erhaltenen Pigments und eines bekannten Pigments[ Chlomophthalred B.R. (Vgl. A)] wurden
geprüft und die Ergebnisse sind in Tabelle IV zusammengestellt.
4,1 Teile 3-(4-Amino-5-chlorphenylimino)-1-oxo-4,5,6,7-tetrachlorisoindolin
werden in 12 Teilen Eisessig suspendiert und 3,7 Teile konz. Salzsäure werden zugegeben.
Das Gemisch wird gerührt und mit 2,6 Teilen Wasser versetzt und dann bei 0 bis 50C gehalten und mit 2,0 Teilen einer
40%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Natriumnitrit versetzt. Dann wird das Gemisch etwa 1 h bei der gleichen Temperatur gerührt,
wobei man ein blaßgelbes Diazoniumsalz erhält.
Andererseits gibt man 1,9 Teile 3,3'-Dimethyl-4,4' bis-acetoacetylamino-diphenyl
unter Auflösung zu 50 Teilen Wasser mit einem Gehalt von 2,5 Teilen einer 30%igen wäßrigen
Lösung von Natriumhydroxid.
Die Lösung wird tropfenweise zu dem Diazoniumsalz unter heftigem Rühren gegeben. Nach dieser Zugabe wird das
Gemisch allmählich erhitzt, um die Kupplungsreaktion durch-

zuführen; das erhaltene Produkt wird 1 h auf 95 bis 100 C
erhitzt und ohne Kühlung abfiltriert und dann mit heißem V/asser gewaschen. Man erhält ein rötlich-oranges Pigment

Andererseits werden 2,1 Teile 1- (4-Methoxyphenyl)-3-methyl-5-pyrazolon
in 42 Teilen Dimethylformamid aufgelöst und 4,3 Teile Natriumacetat-trihydrat werden zugegeben. Die
Mischung wird bei 100C stehengelassen und tropfenweise mit
dem Diazoniumsalz versetzt, wobei die Kupplungsreaktion stattfindet. Man erhält ein brillantrotes Azopigment der folgenden

in 250 Teilen io-Dichlorbenzol suspendiert. Das Gemisch wird
auf 70 bis 75°C erhitzt und mit 20 Teilen Eisessig versetzt. Das Gemisch wird 2 h bei 120 bis 1300C gerührt, wobei die
Diazoaminoverbindung zersetzt wird und die Kupplungsreaktion stattfindet. Man erhält ein rötlich-oranges Azopigment der

Gemäß den Beispielen 59 und 60 werden verschiedene Verbindungen der Formel (III) gemäß Tabelle V und verschiedene
bekannte Kupplungskomponenten gemäß Tabelle V eingesetzt, wobei man verschiedene Azopigmente erhält,
deren Farben in Tabelle V zusammengestellt sind.

Claims (9)
- PatentansprücheAzopigmente der FormelnN-R1-N=N-R2Ilc\NH(DN-R1-N=N-R3-N=N-R1-NNHILM(IDX ein Wasserstoffatom oder ein Halogenatom; η eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 4;R^ eine substituierte oder unsubstituierte aromatische Gruppe;R2 einen Rest einer Kupplungskomponente mit 1 Kupplungsstelle; undR3 einen Rest einer Kupplungskomponente mit 2 Kupplungsstellen
bedeuten. - 2. Azopigmente nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß X für ein Chloratom und η für 4 steht.
- 3. Azopigmente nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß R2 einen Rest einer Kupplungskomponente der FormelCh3COCHCONH-R4909845/0839BAD ORIGINAL2301121bedeutet, wobei R^ eine Phenyl-, Phthalimido- oder Benzimidazolongruppe bedeutet, welche gegebenenfalls durch Halogen oder Methyl-, Methoxy-, Äthoxy-, Nitro-, Carbamido-, Phenylcarbamoyl- oder Acetylamino substituiert sein kann.
- 4. Azopigmente nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß Rp einen Rest einer Kupplungskomponente der FormelOHbedeutet, wobei R^ eine Phenyl-, Phthalimido- oder Benzimidazolongruppe bedeutet, welche gegebenenfalls durch Halogen oder Methyl-, Methoxy-, Äthoxy-, Nitro-, Carbamido-, Phenylcarbamoyl- oder Acetylamino " substituiert sein kann, und wobei A einen Rest zur Bildung eines Naphthalinrings, eines Anthracenrings, eines Anthronrings, eines Carbazolrings oder eines Dibenzofuranrings bedeutet.
- 5. Azopigmente nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß R2 einen Rest einer Kupplungskomponente der folgenden allgemeinen Formel bedeutet-CH - C-R5wobei R^ eine Phenyl-, Phthalimido- oder Benzimidazolongruppe bedeutet, welche gegebenenfalls durch Halogen oder . , Methyl-, Methoxy-, Äthoxy-, Nitro-, Carbamido-, Phenylcarbamoyl- oder Acetylamino ■· substituiert909345/0639sein kann, und wobei R1- eine Methyl-, Äthyl-, Carbomethoxy-, Carboäthoxy- oder Carbamidogruppe bedeutet.
- 6. Azopigmente nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß R, einen Rest einer Kupplungskomponente der folgenden Formel bedeutetCH3COCHCOm-R6-NHOCCHeOCH5wobei Rg eine gegebenenfalls durch Halogen , Methyl-, Methoxy- oder Äthoxy substituierte Phenylen-, Biphenylen- oder Naphthylengruppe bedeutet.
- 7. Azopigmente nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß R, einen Rest einer Kupplungskomponente der folgenden allgemeinen Formel bedeutetOH CONH-R6-NHOC. QHwobei Rg einen gegebenenfalls durch Halogen , Methyl , Methoxy ~ oder Äthoxy substituierte Phenylen-, Biphenylen- oder Naphthylengruppe bedeutet.
- 8. Azopigmente nach Anspruch 1, gekennzeichnet durch die folgende allgemeine Formel9ü98'4S/i6Sfwobei X ein Chlor- oder Wasserstoffatom; η eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 4; R.'und Rj jeweils eine Nitrogruppe, eine Cj-Cp-niedrig-Alkylgruppe, eine C1-Cp-niedrig-Alkoxygruppe, ein Wasserstoff atom oder ein Halogenatom; und R-, einen substituierten oder unsubstituierten aromatischen Rest bedeuten.
- 9. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Azopigments nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man ein Diazoniumsalz einer Verbindung der Formel(III)mit einer Kupplungskomponente in einer wäßrigen Lösung oder in einem organischen Lösungsmittel kuppelt.903845/0639
