Claims (1)
- Es wurden bereits galvanische Zellen vorgeschlagen, die eine Elektrode mit einem hohen positiven oxldlerenden Potential und eine weitere Elektrode mit einem stark negativen oder reduzierenden Potential besitzen.Typisch für derartige Zellen ist die Metall/Halogen-Zelle, deren Anodenmaterial üblicherweise aus Zink besteht.wahrend das Halogen der Kathode Brom Ist. Zu den Vorteilen dieser Zellen gehört Ihre hohe theoretische Ener gledlchte. Eine Zlnk/Brom-Zeüe besitzt beispielsweise eine theoretische Energiedichte von 440 Wh/kg und ein elektrisches Potential von etwa 1,85 Volt pro Zelle. In einer derartigen Zelle wird die Oberfläche der Metallanode, z. B. des Zinks, oxidiert, wobei die Wertigkeit zunimmt. Als Ergebnis werden die Zinkatome gemäß folgender Gleichung
