Substituierte Benzimidazole, insbesondere substituierte 1-Carb·
amoyl-2-carbalkoxyaminobenzimidazole und Fungizide, die diese
Verbindungen enthalten.
Es ist bekannt, Tetramethylthiuramdisulfid zur Bekämpfung von
Pilzen zu verwenden. Seine Wirkung befriedigt jedoch nicht.

Zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen geht man beispielsweise
von einem S-alkylpseudothioharnstoff aus, der in Form
eines Salze3, vorzugsweise als Sulfat, vorliegen kann und setzt ihn mit ein bis zwei äquivalenten eines Chlorformiats der Formel

in der R., R und η die oben angegebenen Bedeutungen haben; die
\-i ext ere Umsetzung mit Isocyanaten oder Carbamin3äurechloriden
führt zu I.
Die Reaktion mit Isocyanaten kann mit oder ohne Lösungsmittel bei Normaldruck' oder erhöhtem Druck innerhalb eines weiten Temperaturbereichs,
bevorzugt zwischen 20 und 100 C, vorgenommen werden. Die Reaktion ist nicht an die Verwendung eines bestimmten
Lösungsmittels gebunden; doch ist die Verwendung beispielsweise
von Pyridin vorteilhaft. Für die Reaktion mit Verbindungen des Typs
kommen beispielsweise folgende Isocyanate in Frage:

Für die Umsetzung mit Carbaminsäurechloride^ die vorteilhaft
in Gegenwart einer Chlorwasserstoffbindenden Verbindung durchgeführt wird, werden beispielsweise Carbaminsäurechloride der

verwendet, wobei R- die oben angegebene Bedeutung hat.
Die Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen wird durch das
folgende Beispiel erläutert:
Herstellung von l-Bicyclo-j3,2,1j-octylcarbamoyl-2-carbäthoxyaminobenzimidazol
der Formel

20,5 Gewichtsteile 2-Carbäthoxyaminobenzimidazol werden in
300 ml Pyridin bei Raumtemperatur (20°C) mit 15,2 Gewichtsteilen Bicyclo - -3,2,1;- octylisocyanat versetzt und eine Stunde auf
60 C erhitzt. Nach dem Einengen im Vakuum wird der verbleibende Rückstand mit Tetrahydrofuran extrahiert und der Wirkstoff mit
Wasser aus den vereinigten Extrakten ausgefällt. Ausbeute: 79 % d.Th.
Pp.: 2050C leichte Zersetzung ^3100C starke Zersetzung
Nach entsprechenden Verfahren lassen sich beispielsweise die folgenden Wirkstoffe herstellen, z.B.:

Die Wirkstoffe wurden durch Elementaranalyse und UR-Spektroskopie
identifiziert.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Fungizide können als Lösungen, Emulsionen, Suspensionen oder Stäubemittel angewendet v/erden. Die Anwendungsformen richten sich ganz nach den Verwendungszwecken; sie sollen
in jedem Fall eine feine Verteilung der wirksamen Substanz gewährleisten.
Zur Herstellung von direkt versprühbaren Lösungen kommt die Lösung
in Wasser in Betracht. Es können aber auch Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Tetrahydronaphthalin, und alkylierte Naphthaline als
Spritzflüssigkeiten verwendet werden.
Wäßrige Anwendungsformen können aus Emulsionskonzentraten, Pasten
oder netzbaren Pulvern (Spritzpulvern) durch Zusatz von > asser
bereitet werden. Zur Herstellung von Emulsionen können die Substanzen als solche oder in einem Lösungsmittel gelöst mittels Netzoder
Dispergiermitteln, z.B. Polyäthylenoxidanlagerungsprodukte, ■in Wasser oder organischen Lösungsmitteln homogenisiert werden.
Es können aber auch aus wirksamer Substanz, Emulgier- oder Dispergiermittel
und eventuelle Lösungsmittel bestehende Konzentrate

hergestellt werden, die zur Verdünnung mit Wasser geeignet sind.
Stäubemittel können durch Mischen oder gemeinsames Vermählen der
wirksamen Substanzen mit einem festen Trägerstoff, beispielsweise Ton, Düngemittel oder Kieselgur, hergestellt werden.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Wirkstoffe können mit anderen fungiziden Wirkstoffen gemischt werden. Die Mischung zeigt dann ebenfalls
eine gute fungizide Wirkung. Eine besonders gute Wirkung zeigen Mischungen der erfindungsgemäßen Wirkstoffe mit dem Zinksalz der
1,2-Propylenbisdithiocarbamidsäure, oder mit der Mischung aus
einem Zink-Ammoniak-Komplexsalz der 1,2-Propylenbisdithiocarbamidsäure,
oder mit der Mischung aus einem Zink-Ammoniak-Komplexsalz der Äthylenbisdithiocarbamidsäure und dem Thiuramdisulfid
der Äthylenbisdithiocarbamidsäure, oder mit dem N-Thiotrichlormethylphthalimid,
oder mit dem N-Dichlorfluormethylthio-NjN-dimethyl-amino-sulfonsäureanilid.
Folgende Beispiele erläutern die guten fungiziden Eigenschaften
der Wirkstoffe:
In der folgenden Tabelle sind die Hemmungswerte gegenüber Botrytis
cinerea und Fusarium solani angeführt. Die Wirkstoffe werden in Konzentrationen von 0,002, 0,001 und 0,0001 % mit einem 8?igen
Biomalzagar gründlich durchmischt. Der Agar wird in Petrischalen mit 9 cm Durchmesser ausgegossen; nach dem Erstarren des Agars werden
die Schalen- mit Myzelflöckchen von Botrytis cinerea bzw. Fusarium solani zentral beimpft. Die Schalen werden bei 22 bis 25°C
bebrütet und nach 8 Tagen wird das Ausmaß der Plizkolonie-Entwicklung
im Vergleich mit den unbehandelt'en Kontrollen beurteilt.

Die Wirkstoffe werden einer für das Vächstum des Pilzes Aspergillus
niger optimal geeigneten Nährlösung in Mengen' von 100, 50, 25, 10 und 5 Gewichtsteilen pro Million Teile Nährlösung zugesetzt. Es·
werden jeweils 20 ml der so behandelten Nährlösung in 100 ml-Erlenmeyerkolben
mit 0,3 mg Aspergillus - Pilzsporen beimpft. Die Kolben
werden 120 Stunden lang bei 36O0C erwärmt und anschließend das Ausmaß
der Pilzentwicklung, das bevorzugt auf.die Nährlosungsoberflache
erfolgt, beurteilt.

0 = kein Pilzwachstum, abgestuft bis
0 = kein Pilzwachstum, abgestuft bis
5 = ungehemmtes Pilzwachstum (Pilzdecke auf der Nährlösungsoberfläche
