Selektives Herbizid
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein selektives Herbizid, welches als Wirkstoffe neue s-Triazinderivate
der allgemeinen Formel

Methoxypropylrest, R5 einen niedermolekularen Alkylrest und X die direkte Bindung, O, S, den
Äthyliminorest oder die Gruppe RjCON <
bedeutet.
Es sind schon Diamino- und Triamino-s-triazinderivate mit herbizider Wirksamkeit bekanntgeworden,
die an den Stickstoffatomen der Aminogruppen in verschiedener Weise substituiert sein
können. Diamino- und Triamino-s-triazinderivate der allgemeinen Formel I, welche an mindestens
einer Aminogruppe durch einen aliphatischen Acylrest substituiert sind, sind hingegen bisher noch
nicht beschrieben worden. Die neuen Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I zeichnen sich durch die
gute Selektivität ihrer herbiziden Wirkung aus.
Zur Herstellung der vorstehend definierten neuen Triazinderivate setzt man Verbindungen der allgemeinen

X' die direkte Bindung, O, S, den Äthyliminorest oder die Gruppe HN bedeutet und R3,
Ri und Rs die oben angegebene Bedeutung haben,
mit einem reaktionsfähigen funktionellen Derivat, insbesondere mit einem Anhydrid, der Ameisensäure.
Essigsäure oder Propionsäure um, wobei zur Einführung des Formylrests insbesondere Ameisensäiireessigsäureanhydrid
eingesetzt wird.

dabei je nach den Reaktionsbedingungen, z. B. der Reaktionsdauer und Temperatur, Monoacyl-, Diacyl-
und gegebenenfalls Triacylderivate erhalten werden. Aus der allgemeinen Formel I ergibt sich
indessen, daß in jede vorhandene primäre Aminogruppe ein Acylrest eingeführt und Ausgangsstoffe
mit Wasserstoff als R2, R3' und R4 deshalb stets mindestens diaeyliert werden.

Ein großer Teil dieser Ausgangsstoffe ist bekannt, die übrigen sind nach an sich bekannten Methoden
herstellbar.
Die Umsetzung der Ausgangsstoffe erfolgt beispielsweise durch Kochen unter Rückfluß, wobei

Die Herstellung der Wirkstoffe ist nicht Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung.
Die im vorangehenden genannten sowie weitere Verbindungen der am Anfang definierten allgemeinen
Formel I eignen sich vorzüglich als Wirkstoffe für Unkrautbekämpfungsmittel, sowohl zur selektiven
Unterdrückung und Ausrottung von Unkräutern unter Kulturpflanzen wie auch zur Verhinderung
unerwünschten Pflanzenwuchses. Unter Unkräutern werden hierbei auch unerwünschte, z. B. angebaute,
Kulturpflanzen verstanden. Die oben definierten Verbindungen eignen sich in hier nicht beanspruchter
Weise weiterhin auch als Wirkstoffe zur Ausübung anderer hemmender Beeinflussungen des Pflanzenwachstums,
insbesondere Entblätterung, Reifebeschleunigung durch vorzeitiges Austrocknen, ferner
auch Verminderung des Fruchtansatzes, Verlängerung der Ernteperiode und der Lagerfähigkeit.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Unkrautbekämpfungsmittel können Lösungen, Emulsionen, Suspensionen
oder Stäubemittel darstellen, die Anwendungsformen richten sich ganz nach den Verwendungs-
zwecken. Lediglich müssen alle Applikationsformen eine feine Verteilbarkeit der Wirksubstanz gewährleisten.
Insbesondere bei der vorzeitigen Austrocknung sowie der Entblätterung kann die Wirkung
durch die Verwendung von an sich phytotoxischen Trägerstoffen, wie z. B. hochsiedenden Mineralölfraktionen,
verstärkt werden; andererseits kommt die Selektivität der Wachstumshemmung bei der
Verwendung von gegenüber Pflanzen indifferenten Trägerstoffen, z. B. in der selektiven Unkrautbekämpfung,
im allgemeinen deutlicher zur Geltung. Zur Herstellung von Lösungen kommen insbesondere
höhersiedende organische Flüssigkeiten, wie Mineralölfraktionen, Kohlenteeröle, sowie auch
vegetabilische und animalische öle in Betracht. Um die Auflösung der Wirkstoffe in diesen Flüssigkeiten
zu erleichtern, können gegebenenfalls geringe Mengen organischer Flüssigkeiten mit besserem
Lösungsvermögen und meist niedrigerem Siedepunkt, d. h. Lösungsmittel wie Alkohole, z. B.
Äthanol oder Isopropanol, Ketone, z. B. Aceton, Butanon oder Cyclohexanon, Diacetonalkohol, cyclische
Kohlenwasserstoffe, z. B. Benzol, Toluol oder Xylol, chlorierte Kohlenwasserstoffe, z. B. Tetra-
chloräthan oder Äthylenchlorid, oder Gemische der obengenannten Stoffe beigefügt werden.
Bei den wäßrigen Aufarbeitungsformen handelt es sich vor allem um Emulsionen und Dispersionen.
Die Substanzen werden als solche oder in einem der obengenannten Lösungsmittel vorzugsweise
mittels Emulgier- oder Dispergiermitteln in Wasser homogenisiert. Von kationaktiven Emulgier- oder
Dispergiermitteln seien als Beispiele quaternäre Ammoniumverbindungen genannt, als Beispiele anionaktiver
Emulgiermittel Seife, Schmierseife, Alkalisalze von aliphatischen langkettigen Schwefelsäuremonoestern,
von aliphatisch-aromatischen Sulfonsäuren oder von langkettigen Alkoxyessigsäuren
und als nichtionogene Emulgiermittel Polyäthylenglykoläther von Fettalkoholen oder Alkylphenolen
und Polykondensationsprodukte des Äthylenoxyds. Anderseits können auch aus Wirkstoff. Emulgator
oder Dispergator und gegebenenfalls Lösungsmittel bestehende flüssige oder pastenartige Konzentrate
hergestellt werden, die sich zur Verdünnung mit Wasser eignen.
Stäubemittel und Streumittel können zunächst durch Mischen oder gemeinsames Vermählen der
Wirksubstanz mit einem festen Trägerstoff hergestellt werden. Als solche kommen in Frage:
Talkum, Diatomeenerde, Kaolin, Bentonit, Calciumcarbonat, Tricalciumphosphat. Sand, aber auch
Holzmehl, Korkmehl und andere Materialien pflanzlicher Herkunft. Anderseits können die Substanzen
auch mittels eines flüchtigen Lösungsmittels auf die Trägerstoffe aufgezogen werden. Durch Zusatz
von Netzmitteln, z. B. den obengenannten Emulgiermitteln, und Schutzkolloiden, z. B. Sulfitablauge,
können pulverförmige Präparate und Pasten in Wasser suspendierbar und als Spritzmittel verwendbar
gemacht werden.
Die verschiedenen Anwendungsformen können in üblicher Weise durch Zusatz von Stoffen, welche
die Verteilung und das Eindringungsvermögen in den Boden je nach Wurzeltiefe der zu bekämpfenden
Unkräuter verbessern oder vermindern, den Verwendungszwecken näher angepaßt werden. Ebenso
läßt sich ihre biologische Wirkung verbreitern durch Zusatz von Stoffen mit bakterizide oder fungiziden
Eigenschaften, z. B. zur Erzielung einer allgemeinen Bodensterilisation oder in der selektiven Linkrautbekämpfung
zum Schütze der Kulturpflanzen vor anderen schädlichen Organismen. Stoffe, die ebenfalls
das Pflanzenwachstum beeinflussen, können, wie z. B. 3-Amino-l,2,4-triazol, zur Beschleunigung des
Wirkungseintritts oder, wie z. B. α,α-Dichlor-propionsäure,
gegebenenfalls zur Verbreiterung des herbiziden Wirkungsspektrums erwünscht sein. Die
Kombination mit Düngemitteln bedeutet gegebenenfalls eine Arbeitsersparnis und kann die Widerstandsfähigkeit
der zu schonenden Kulturpflanzen steigern.
Im folgenden werden Beispiele für typische Applikationsformen angegeben:
10 Teile Wirkstoff, z.B. 2-Methoxy-4-(N-acetyläthylamino) - 6 - (N - acetyl - isopropylamino) - s - triazin
oder 2-Acetylamino-4,6-bis-diäthylamino-s-triazin, und 90 Teile Talk werden in einer Kugelmühle,
einer Stiftenmühle oder einer anderen geeigneten Mühle zu größter Feinheit vermählen. Das erhaltene
Gemisch dient als Stäubemittel.
20 Teile Wirkstoff, z. B. 2-Methoxy-4,6-bis-(N-acetyl-äthylamino)-s-triazin,
2-Methoxy-4-(N-acetyläthylamino)-6-(N-acetyl-isopropylamino)-s-triazin, 2 - Methyl - 4,6 - bis - (N - acetyl - äthylamino) - s - triazin
oder 2-Acetylamino-4,6-bis-(diäthylamino)-s-triazin, werden in einer Mischung von 48 Teilen Diacetonalkohol,
16 Teilen Xylol und 16 Teilen eines wasserfreien, hochmolekularen Kondensationsproduktes
von Äthylenoxyd mit höheren Fettsäuren gelöst. Dieses Konzentrat kann mit Wasser zu Emulsionen
von jeder gewünschten Konzentration verdünnt werden.
50 bis 80 Teile Wirkstoff, z. B. 2 - Methoxy-4 - (N - acetyl - äthylamino) - 6 - (N - acetyl - isopropylamino)-s-triazin,

werden mit 2 bis 5 Teilen eines Netzmittels, z. B. eines Schwefelsäureesters eines Alkyl-polyglykol-äthers, 1 bis
5 Teilen eines Schutzkolloids, z. B. Sulfitablauge, und 14 bis 44 Teilen eines inerten, festen Trägermaterials,
wie z. B. Kaolin, Bentonit, Kreide oder Kieselgur gemischt und hierauf in einer geeigneten
Mühle fein vermählen. Das erhaltene netzbare Pulver kann mit Wasser angerührt werden und
ergibt sehr beständige Suspensionen.
10 Teile Wirkstoff, z. B. 2 - Methoxy - 4,6 - bis-(N-acetyl-äthylamino)-s-triazin,
2-Methoxy-4,6-bis-(N-propionyl-äthylamino)-s-triazin oder 2,4,6-Tris-(N-acetyl-äthyiaminoH-triazin,
werden in 60 bis 80 Teilen einer hochsiedenden organischen Flüssigkeit, wie z. B. Kohlenteeröl, Dieselöl oder Spindelöl,
welcher 30 bis 10 Teile Xylol beigefügt sind, gelöst.
5 bis 10 Teile Wirkstoff, z. B. 2-Methoxy-4-(N-acetyl
- äth\ lamino) - 6 - (N - acetyl - isopropylamino) - s - triazin,
2-Methoxy-4-äthylamino-6-(N-formyl-äthylamino)-s-triazin, 2-Acetylamino-4,6-bis-(diäthylamino)
- s - triazin oder 2 - Diäthylamino - 4,6 - bis-(N-acetyl-äthylamino)-s-triazin,
werden mit 95 bis 90 Teilen Calciumcarbonat (= gemahlener Kalkstein) gemischt und gemahlen. Das Produkt
kann als Streumittel verwendet werden.
95 Teile eines gekörnten Trägermaterials, z. B. Sand oder kohlensaurer Kalk, werden mir 1 bis
5 Teilen Wasser, Isopropanol oder Polyäthylenglykol befeuchtet und hierauf mit 5 Teilen Wirkstoff,
z. B. 2-Äthoxy-4,6-bis-(N-acetyl-isopropylamino)-s-triazin oder 2-Methoxy-4-(N-acetyl-äthylamino)-6-(N-acetyl-isopropylamino)-s-triazin,
vermischt. Der obigen oder einer wirkstoffreicheren Mischung, z. B. aus 10 Teilen Wirkstoff und 90 Teilen Calciumcarbonat,
kann auch eine mehrfache Menge, z. B. 100 bis 900 Teile eines gegebenenfalls wasserlös-
lichen Kunstdüngemittels, wie ζ. B. Ammoniumsulfat oder Harnstoff, beigemischt werden.
50 Teile Wirkstoff, z.B. 2-Methoxy-4-(N-acetyläthylamino) -6 - (N - acetyl -isopropylamino) - s - triazin,
2-Methoxy-4,6-bis-(N-acetyl-äthylamino)-s-triazin, 2 - Methoxy - 4 - (N - acetyl - isopropylamino) - s - triazin,
2-Äthoxy-4,6-bis-(N-acetyl-isopropylamino)-s-triazin oder 2-Acetylamino-4,6-bis-(diäthylamino)-s-triazin,
werden in 45 Teilen Xylol eingebracht und 5 Teile eines Gemisches von Polyäthylenoxydkondensationsprodukten
und Sulfitablauge beigefügt. Man erhält ein Konzentrat zur Bereitung von Emulsionen, das
in Wasser in beliebigem Verhältnis emulgiert werden kann.
Die pro Hektar benötigten Wirkstoffmengen bewegen sich bei der selektiven Unkrautbekämpfung
je nach der Empfindlichkeit der Unkräuter, der Widerstandsfähigkeit der Kulturpflanzen, dem Anwendungszeitpunkt,
den klimatischen Bedingungen und Bodenverhältnissen zwischen etwa 0,25 und 10 kg pro Hektar, während für die vollständige Verhinderung
von Pflanzenwuchs im allgemeinen 5 bis 20 kg pro Hektar anzuwenden sind. In besonderen
Fällen können die obigen Aufwandmengen auch überschritten werden.

lO'Voigen Präparate wurde mit Gartenerde in einem solchen Mengenverhältnis homogen vermischt, daß
die Mischung einem Gehalt von 0,1 g Wirksubstanz pro Liter Erde entsprach.
Dann wurden je 30 Samen von Senf, Baumwolle und Wicke in Töpfe eingebracht, die 6,5 cm hoch
mit dieser Erde angefüllt waren. Die Keimung und das Wachstum der Sprößlinge wurde nach 20 Tagen
mit demjenigen einer entsprechenden Anzahl von Kontrollpflanzen verglichen, die in Topfen mit
wirkstofffreier Erde gezogen wurden. Nach 20 Tagen wird das Wachstum nach folgender Skala beurteilt:

55 Aus diesen Resultaten geht hervor, daß die erfindungsgemäß verwendbare Verbindung IV selektiver
wirkt als die bekannten Verbindungen 1 bis III, indem sie den Unkrautbestand zu 80% vernichtet,
während sie die Kulturpflanzen Kartoffel, Raps, Hanf und Rettich unbeschädigt läßt.

(gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung) (V), 2-Methoxy-4,6-bis-(N-acetyl-y-methoxypropylamino)-s-triazin
(gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung) (VI), 2-Äthoxy-4,6-bis-(N-acetyl-isopropylamino)-
s-triazin

wurden in der unten angegebenen Konzentration auf mit Erde gefüllte und mit Samen von Hafer,
Gurke und Senf besäte Saatschalen gespritzt. Nach 3 Wochen werden die Testpflanzen nach folgender

*) Der Unkrautbestand setzt sich aus folgenden Unkräutern zusammen: Matricaria Chamomilla, Raphanus Raphanislrum,
Capsella Bursapastoris, Stellaria media, Chenopodium album, Amaranthus lividus, Polygonum Pcrsicaria und Planlage media.
Aus diesen Resultaten ist zu entnehmen, daß die erfindungsgemäß verwendbaren Verbindungen III
bis VIII selektiver wirken als die bekannten Verbindungen I und II, indem sie die Unkrautpflanze
Senf vernichten oder zumindest stark schädigen, während sie die Kulturpflanzen Gurke und Hafer
bei geeigneten Aufwandmengen praktisch nicht beschädigen.
