Es ist bekannt, aus Houben—Weyl, »Methoden
der organischen Chemie«, 4. Auflage, Bd. 8, S. 472, Carbonsäuren bzw. deren Salze mit Phosgen bei erhöhter
Temperatur in Carbonsäurechloride zu überführen. Die entsprechende Umsetzung mit Thiophosphorylfettsäuren
führt nicht zu den entsprechenden Säurechloriden.
Aus der USA.-Patentschrift 2 630 451 ist es ferner bekanntjO.O-Dialkyl-dithiophosphoryl-bernsteinsäurehalbamide
der Formel

mit Thionylchlorid zu den entsprechenden Säurechloriden umzusetzen. Die Säurechloride werden aber ao
nicht in Substanz isoliert, sondern sie werden in der Herstellungslösung sofort mit Alkoholen zu dunkelgefärbten Produkten verestert. Eine Ausbeuteangabe
fehlt. Auch auf diesem Wege gelingt es also nicht, die Säurechloride herzustellen. as
Es ist ferner bekannt, daß bei dem Versuch, eine Thiophosphorylfettsäure auf dem Weg über das Säurechlorid
in das entsprechende Säureamid überzuführen, nur nicht identifizierbare Produkte erhalten wurden
(Journal of Organic Chemistry«, 26, 1961, S. 2281). Man mußte daraus schließen, daß der Herstellung der
Säurechloride erhebliche Schwierigkeiten entgegenstehen.
Es wurde nun gefunden, daß Ο,Ο-Dialkyl-thiono-
bzw. -dithiophosphoryl-fettsäuren der allgemeinen Formel

Wasserstoff oder einen niedermolekularen Alkylrest, X Sauerstoff oder Schwefel bedeutet und η Werte von
1 bis 5 annehmen kann, mit Phosgen in Gegenwart Ν,Ν-dialkylsubstituierter Säureamide niedermolekularer
aliphatischer Carbonsäuren bei Temperaturen von 20 bis 6O0C glatt in die entsprechenden 0,0-Dialkyl-thiono-
bzw. -dithiophosphoryl-fettsäurechloride Verfahren zur Herstellung
von 0,0-Dialkyl-thiono
bzw. -dithiophosphoryl-fettsäurechloriden

übergeführt werden. Die Säurechloride werden in guter Reinheit und mit hohen Ausbeuten erhalten.
Als 0,0-Dialkyl-thiono- bzw. -dithiophosphorylfettsäuren kommen z. B. in Frage:
Ο,Ο-Dimethyl-dithiophosphoryl-essigsäure,
Ä-(0,0-Diäthyl-dithio-phosphoryl)-propionsäure, jS-(0,0-Diäthyl-dithio-phosphoryl)-propionsäure,
/S-(O,O-Dimethyl-dithio-phosphoryl)-buttersäure,
«-(O,O-Diäthyl-dithi0-phosphoryl)-isobuttersäure,
Ο,Ο-Diäthyl-thionophosphoryl-essigsäure,
/3-(0,0-Diäthyl-thiono-phosphoryl)-propionsäure.
DieOjO-Dialkyl-dithiophosphoryl-fettsäurenkönnen in bekannter Weise aus einem Salz einer 0,0-Dialkyldithiophosphorsäure
und einer Halogenfettsäure bzw. durch Anlagerung der freien 0,0-Dialkyl-dithiophosphorsäuren
an ungesättigte Fettsäuren hergestellt werden. Die Ο,Ο-Dialkyl-thionophosphoryl-fettsäuren
kann man aus Ο,Ο-Dialkyl-thionophosphorsäurechloriden
und Hydroxyfettsäuren, gegebenenfalls unter Zusatz von säurebindenden Mitteln, erhalten.
Die Umsetzung der genannten Säuren mit Phosgen kann mit oder ohne Verdünnungsmittel durchgeführt
werden. Als Lösungsmittel eignen sich beispielsweise aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, z. B. Benzol, Toluol,
oder halogenierte Kohlenwasserstoffe, z. B. Tetrachlorkohlenstoff, Chlorbenzol.
Als Beispiele für wirksame Ν,Ν-dialkylsubstituierte
Carbonsäureamide seien angeführt: N,N-Dimethylformamid,
Ν,Ν-Diätbylformamid, N,N-Dimethylacetamid, Ν,Ν-Dibutylpropionamid, N-Formylpyrrolidin.
Insbesondere werden die dialkylsubstituierten Formamide verwendet.
Die Ν,Ν-dialkylsubstituierten Carbonsäureamide
werden vorzugsweise in Mengen von 0,05 bis 0,2 Mol je Mol Phosgen zugesetzt.
Das Phosgen kann entweder gasförmig oder in einem Verdünnungsmittel, z. B. Benzol, Toluol, Tetrachlorkohlenstoff,
gelöst dem Reaktionsgemisch zugeführt werden. Zweckmäßigerweise verwendet man einen
Überschuß an Phosgen, z. B. 1,5 bis 5 Mol Phosgen pro Mol substituierte Carbonsäure.
Die exotherme Reaktion wird zwischen 20 und 60° C durchgeführt.
Nach Beendigung der Reaktion scheidet sich das Carbonamid in Form seines Umsetzungsproduktes
mit Phosgen als flüssige Schicht ab. Das überstehende rohe Säurechlorid bzw. dessen Lösung wird dekantiert
und das gegebenenfalls vorhandene Lösungsmittel im Vakuum entfernt. Das zurückbleibende rohe Säurechlorid
ist im allgemeinen ein nicht destillierbares Öl.
Die nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren erhältlichen Ο,Ο-Dialkyl-thiono- bzw. -dithiophosphorylfettsäurechloride
sind wichtige Zwischenprodukte für die Herstellung von Pflanzenschutzmitteln.
So entsteht z. B. aus Ο,Ο-Dimethyl-dithiophosphorylacetylchlorid
mit Methylamin in an sich bekannter Weise das Ο,Ο-Dimethyl-dithiophosphoryl-essigsäure-N-methylamid,
das ein bekannter insektizider Wirkstoff ist.
Das nachfolgende Beispiel erläutert das Verfahren. Die angegebenen Teile und Prozentzahlen sind Gewichtsteile
und Gewichtsprozente.
In eine Lösung von 43,2 Teilen O,O-Dimethyldithio-phosphoryl-essigsäure
und 4,3 Teilen Dimethylformamid in 145 Teilen Toluol leitet man bei 25 bis 300C unter schwacher Kühlung 50 Teile Phosgen ein.
Anschließend rührt man noch 1 Stunde bei 25 bis 30° C nach. Der sich als schweres Öl abscheidende Dimethylformamid-Phosgen-Komplex
wird abgetrennt, das gelöste Phosgen bei Raumtemperatur aus der Toluol-Vakuum bei 5O0C Badtemperatur abgezogen. Man
erhält als Rückstand 45,3 Teile Ο,Ο-Dimethyl-dithiophosphoryl-acetylchlorid
als braunes Öl; gefunden Vl

- Patentanspruch:Verfahren zur Herstellung von Ο,Ο-Dialkylthiono- bzw. -dithiophosphoryl-fettsäurechloriden der allgemeinen FormelRO'" ,,SWCH \ — COClROwobei R einen niedermolekularen Alkylrest, R1 Wasserstoff oder einen niedermolekularen Alkylrest, X Sauerstoff oder Schwefel bedeutet und η Werte von 1 bis 5 annehmen kann, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die entsprechenden Ο,Ο-Dialkyl-thiono- bzw. -dithiophosphoryl-fettsäuren der allgemeinen FormelRO, ,,SROX——COOHlösung mit Stickstoff ausgeblasen, dann das Toluol im Chemie, Bd. 8, S. 472.mit Phosgen in Gegenwart N,N-dialkylsubstituierter Säureamide niedermolekularer aliphatischer Carbonsäuren bei Temperaturen von 20 bis 6O0C umsetzt.In Betracht gezogene Druckschriften:
