Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Polyalkylenglykoläthern, die mindestens 2 Harnstoffgruppen

aromatischen oder heterocyclischen Rest bzw. für den Rest eines Alkylamins oder Dialkylamins,
einer quartären Alkylammoniumgruppe, eines Fettalkohols, einer Fettsäure, eines Fettsäureamids,
eines Polyamins, eines Polyimins, eines Polyesters, eines Polyäthers oder eines Silicicons und R1 für
Wasserstoff oder für einen Alkylrest steht, m eine Zahl von 2 bis 6, η eine Zahl von O bis 4 und ρ und r
unabhängig voneinander jeweils eine Zahl von 1 bis 100 bedeuten, mit Ammoniak oder Polyaminen, die
mindestens zwei primäre Aminogruppen enthalten, umsetzt und anschließend mindestens zwei der in
dem erhaltenenProdukt vorhandenen primärenAminogruppen in an sich bekannter Weise in Harnstoffgruppen
überführt.
Man kann auch die Polyalkylenglykoläther der allgemeinen Formel I in einer einzigen Verfahrensstufe mit Harnstoffverbindungen, die eine Amino*
alkylgruppe als Substituenten enthalten, umsetzen.
Man erhält auf diese Weise mindestens 2 Harnstoffgruppen
enthaltende Polyalkylenglykoläther der allgemeinen Formel

in der X, Z und R1 sowie m, η, ρ und r die vorstehend
angegebene Bedeutung haben, während R2 für einen aliphatischen, cycloaliphatischen oder aromatischen
Rest und R3 für Wasserstoff, einen Alkylrest, einen Oxyalkylrest, einen Alkoxyalkylrest oder einen Arylrest
steht und q eine Zahl von O bis 4 bedeutet.
Die als Ausgangsmaterialien dienenden Polyalkylenglykoläther der Formel I können z. B. dadurch hergestellt
werden, daß man Verbindungen, die mindestens zwei gegenüber Alkylenoxyden reaktionen
fähige Wasserstoffatome besitzen, mit Alkylenoxyden umsetzt, auf die entstandenen Oxalkylierungsprodukte
dann Epihalogenhydrine zur Einwirkung bringt und aus den gebildeten Chlorhydrinverbindungen

durch Umsetzung mit 25 Mol Äthylenoxyd, an- anschließend noch mit 25 Mol Äthylenoxyd zur
schließende Einwirkung von 3 Mol a-Epichlorhydrin Reaktion gebracht. Hierauf wurde das Reaktionsund
nachfolgende Abspaltung von Chlorwasserstoff produkt nach Zusatz von 1 Gewichtsprozent Bor-
fluorid—Eisessig bei 800C allmählich mit 0,4 Mol
öi-Epichlorhydrin versetzt und 1 Stunde auf dieser Temperatur gehalten.
251 Teile (0,1 Mol) des im Beispiel 3 angeführten Polyäthylengiykoltriglycidyläthers werden mit 30,9 Teilen
(0,3 Mol) ^-Aminoäthylharnstoff 2 Stunden auf 1000C erhitzt. Das gebildete Reaktionsprodukt wird
zweimal mit heißer Kochsalzlösung gewaschen, hierauf im Vakuum bei 600C getrocknet und dann mit
Äthanol verrührt; die alkoholische Lösung wird vom Kochsalz abfiltriert und hiernach eingedampft. Man
erhält ein Produkt, das in Wasser, in verdünnter wäßriger Essigsäure sowie in polaren organischen
Lösungsmitteln gut löslich ist.
Claims (2)
1. Verfahren zur Herstellung von Polyalkylenglykoläthern, die mindestens 2 Harnstoffgruppen
im Molekül enthalten, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man Polyalkylenglykoläther der allgemeinen Formel

in der X für Stickstoff oder für einen mindestens
zweiwertigen organischen Rest, Y für die Gruppe

— CH2 — CH—CH2
oder
oder
OH
-CH2-CH-CH2Ci
Z für Wasserstoff, für die Hydroxylgruppe, für ein Halogenatom, für die Gruppen — COOH
oder —NH2 oder für einen aliphatischen, cycloaliphatischen,
aromatischen oder heterocyclischen Rest bzw. für den Rest eines Alkylamins oder Dialkylamins, einer quartären Alkylammoniumgruppe,
eines Fettalkohols, einer Fettsäure, eines Fettsäureamids, eines Polyamine, eines Polyimins,
eines Polyesters, eines Polyäthers oder eines Silicons und R1 für Wasserstoff oder für einen Alkylrest
steht, m eine Zahl von 2 bis 6, « eine Zahl von 0 bis 4 und ρ und r unabhängig voneinander jeweils
eine Zahl von 1 bis 100 bedeuten, mit Ammoniak oder Polyaminen, die mindestens zwei primäre
Aminogruppen enthalten, umsetzt und anschließend mindestens zwei der in dem erhaltenen
Produkt vorhandenen primären Aminogruppen in an sich bekannter Weise in Harnstoffgruppen
überführt.
2. Abänderung des Verfahrens nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die Polyalkylenglykoläther
der im Anspruch 1 angegebenen allgemeinen Formel mit Harnstoffverbindungen, die eine Aminoalkylgruppe als Substituenten
enthalten, umsetzt.
