AUG. FERDINAND SPANN in ULM a. D. Brenner mit Saugedocht an Petroleum-Nachtlampen.
Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 27. Juli 1877 ab.
Der Brenner besteht aus 2 Röhrchen, No. 1 und No. 2. Die Abbildungen zeigen dieselben in nahezu natürlicher Gröfse. Beide sind aufgeschnitten von oben herab.
No. ι das kurze, '/3 in Länge, ist mit einem Arm versehen zum Auf- und Zuschliefsen.
No. 2 das lange, % in Länge, mit Bayonetverschlufs und drei Ausschnitten abwärts im Rohr nnd mit Hülsenring.
Beide in einander gesteckt geben
No. 3 den eigenthümlichen Brenner.
Der Brenner verlangt zwei Dochte:
No. 4 den harten runden (Brenndocht),
No. 5 den gesponnenen losen (Saugdocht).
Der Brenndocht wird durch den Brenner No. 3 geschoben.
Der Saug- oder Speisedocht schlingt sich von oben um den Brenner und läuft durch die drei Einschnitte hinter dem Brenndocht bis ins Petroleum im Glas.
Der Saugdocht giebt dem Brenndocht so viel Nahrung, dafs die Flamme hell brennt, weder rufst noch riecht und während des Brennens unverändert bleibt.
Zur Speisung des Lichtes in 8—10 Nächten ä 12 Stunden ist 1 Liter OeI nöthig.
Mittelst einer starken Tuchnadel kann der Docht herauf- und herabgezogen werden; er verändert sich nie von selbst.
Eine Stricknadel dient zum Einziehen beider Dochte.
