Abstract

光盘D由分别有两种记录格式的第一记录层L1和第二记录层L2组成。加密数据被记录在第一记录层L1,密钥数据被记录于第二记录层L2。此密钥数据是用来解密的。这种记录使得简易地再现记录数据变得十分困难。如果用任何方法可以再现记录在凹坑形成部分的数据,则记录在光盘上的数据信号不可能被轻易再现。本发明提供一种用于记录数据的介质,它包括:对应至少两个记录格式的工作域,其中一个工作域记录加密数据,另一个工作域记录至少一部分用于解开加密数据的密钥数据。

Description

数据记录介质
本申请是申请日为1996年6月30日、申请号为96111069.4的发明专利申请的分案申请。
技术领域
本发明涉及一种用于记录数据信号的介质,以及在该数据记录介质上记录数据的方法,和从数据记录介质上再现数据的方法。
背景技术
在用来记录数据信号如音频数据、视频数据或各种其它类型的数据的数据记录介质中,用光学方法记录这些数据信号的介质已在全世界方泛应用。这种光记录介质实际由一个被称做音乐CD或CD-ROM的介质组成,其中的CD-ROM是一种音乐CD转变成记录数据的一种改型。
当前CD和CD-ROM在世界上广泛流行的同时,大量原版介质的盗版也在充斥全世界。在这些盗版中,发现一些非常低劣的版本。例如,这种低劣版本是这样制作的:剥掉CD盘的保护层,使得铝层(这是形成凹坑的层)可以暴露在外,镀一层外衣于铝层上,然后反复地压印此镀层以获得许多复制品。防御这种低劣盗版保护原版是十分困难的。
防止非法拷贝原始CD的方法,在日本专利公开号182766/95中有介绍,此方法建议在CD上加上密码使得数据不能被拷贝。这种方法对上述的物理方法的非法拷贝不是很有效。
另外,前面提到的问题在被称做下一代数据记录介质的数字视频盘(DVD)中,也是十分是严重的。
发明内容
在前述条件下,本发明的目的是提供一种数据记录介质,一种数据记录方法和一种数据再现的方法,这种介质及相关的方法是用来防止轻易盗版和轻易再现记录的数据信号的,即使是在数据记录介质的凹坑形成层可用任何方法都可再现的情况下。
根据本发明,加密的原始数据,和解码用的密钥数据都被记录在数据记录格式或记录层彼此不同的相应的记录区域中。或存储数据(Content Data)至少被记录在数据记录格式或层彼此不同两个域上。这种方法可防止轻易再现原始数据或使得难于复制某个域的数据,即使是在用任何方法可以再现其它域的记录数据的情况下。因此这种方法可防止轻易的获得全部数据(再现的数据)。
本发明的数据记录介质包括至少两个有相应记录格式或层的记录域。为解决上述问题,加密数据被记录在一个记录域,同时至少一部分解此加密数据的密钥数据被记录在另一个域。或此存储数据至少被记录在两个记录域上。
另外,本发明的数据记录方法是数据被记录在至少包含有数据记录格式或层彼此不同的两个域的数据记录介质上。在一个记录域上,加密的存储数据被记录,在其它记录域至少一部分解此加密数据的密钥数据被记录在另一个域。或此存储数据至少被记录在两个记录域。
另外,本发明的数据再现方法是从至少包含有数据记录格式或层彼此不同的两个记录域的数据记录介质上再现数据。为解决上述问题,本方法采取读出至少被记录在两个记录域的数据然后合成这些数据的步骤。
在操作上,加密数据和解此加密数据的密钥数据被记录在至少包含两个数据记录格式或层彼此不同的相应的记录域上,或存储数据被记录扩展在至少两个数据记录格式或层是彼此不同的记录域上。例如,即使用任何方法再现了一个记录域的存储数据,而再现另一个域的数据就很困难,这就不可能获取全部数据(再现数据)。

具体实施方式
以下将参考附图对本发明的优选实施例进行描述。
首先,从具有相应记录格式的两种记录层的光盘作为数据记录介质的用法说起。
在本实施例中,如图1所示的光盘D是由基片B、按顺序层迭在B片上第一和第二记录层L1和L2,和在记录层的顶部形成的一个透明的保护层P所形成。例如,加密数据被记录在第一层L1,用来解密加密数据(称做解码)的关键数据(称做“密钥数据”)被记录在第二层L2,被记录在光盘D的第一层L1上的加密数据是存储数据(意思是被记录的数据),它通过加密电路3被加密在密钥数据上。同样,加密数据和密钥提供给例如光拾取装置的记录单元5。其后,通过变化光拾取装置上的焦点把每一个加密数据和密钥分别记录在第一记录层L1和第二记录层L2。然后,显示加密关键数据是否记录在光盘的第二记录层L2上的信息被记录在光盘的第一记录层L1的TOC(存储表)域。TOC域将在后面详细描述。
另一方面,如图2,当再现光盘D信息时,记录在第一层L1的加密数据和记录在第二层L2的密钥数据通过再现元件如光拾取装置,并改变光拾取装置上的聚焦而从光盘D上读出。所读出数据被提供给解码电路4,在解码电路中加密数据在密钥上被解密或解码。解码数据是从光盘D上再现的存储数据。更具体的说,解码电路4的作用是根据密钥数据产生解码密钥数据并根据解码密钥数据对加密数据进行解码。
另外,图1和2显示层叠在光盘D一面的多层记录层。这些记录层可层迭在光盘D的两面。
从光盘D上再现数据的流程如图3所示。图4所示的光盘D包括位于盘中心的中心孔102,对应于作为程序管理域的TOC(存储表)的盘首域103域、用于记录数据的数据域104、和一个盘尾域105,盘尾域105是对应着依从内圈到外圈排列的顺序安排的数据终端域。例如,位于光盘D第一层L1最内圈的TOC域的数据是显示密钥数据是否记录在光盘的第二记录层L2上的信息。
如图3所示,在S1步,执行读取记录在第一记录层L1即光盘D的第一记录层的TOC域的信息的过程。
然后,在S2步,根据记录在TOC域的信息,确定在光盘的第二层L2,即第二记录层L2上是否记录了密钥数据。如果在S2步未记录有密钥数据,操作进入S6步。如果在S2步没有密钥数据被记录,即意味着记录在第一记录层L1的数据是没有加密的数据。因此,S6步读取在第一记录层L1的数据。相反,如果在S2步密钥信息被确定已记录在第二记录层L2上,则操作进行S3步。
在S3步,读取记录在第二记录层L2的密钥数据。接着在S4步中读取记录在第一记录层L1的加密数据。
S5步根据在第二记录层L2读取的密钥数据,从第一记录层L1读取的加密数据可被解密。
如上所述,根据本实施例,加密数据是被记录在光盘D的第一记录层L1上。其密钥数据被记录在不同于第一层L1的第二记录层L2上。因此,即使原盘的盗版可以通过剥去在第一记录层L1上的保护层P等,以使得露出第一记录层L1,进而在第一层L1上镀上一层金属膜的方法而再现成功,但第二记录层L2上记录的密钥数据却不容易再现。而从光盘D的第二记录层L7剥去第一记录层L1是很困难的。对本实施例的光盘D,原始数据是不允许从记录在第一记录层L1上的加密数据得以再现的。
在前一例子中,其说明适于对应两种记录格式的具有第一和第二记录层L1和L2的光盘D。另外,这两种记录格式的记录域可以是磁光记录域和凹坑型记录域的组合、相变记录域和凹坑型记录域的组合、有机颜色材料型记录域和凹坑型记录域的组合,或是用紫外线激光束记录数据的记录介质和凹坑型记录域的组合。在这些组合中,加密数据被记录在凹坑型记录域中,密钥数据记录在磁光记录域、相变记录域、有机颜色材料型记录域、或是用紫外线激光束记录数据的介质上。并且象用于这两种记录格式的记录介质的别的组合一样,可能选择一种记录域的组合,其记录域的组合在盘上是各种各样的,即一个称为摆动型(wobbling type)记录域和一个以上提到的记录域,如凹坑型记录域、磁光记录域、相变记录域、和有机颜色材料型记录域。例如在这类组合中,可以把密钥记录在摆动型记录域上。
如上所述,如果两个记录域的一个是凹坑型记录域,其上记录的数据可以比别的类型的记录域上记录的数据更容易再现,则别的记录域可以是磁光记录域、相变记录域、有机颜色材料型记录域、或是用紫外线激光束记录数据的介质上的记录域,从它们的每一种上再现被记录的数据都是困难的。例如在这样的组合中,即使原盘的盗版可以通过剥去在记录域上的保护层P,以便露出记录域,进而在凹坑型记录域上镀上一层金属膜的方法而再现成功,但是别的记录域的再现却是十分困难的。这意味着任何原始数据都不允许从光盘上被复制。
前文指出的用紫外线激光束记录数据的操作过程如下:一个适当的作用于光盘材料上的紫外线激光束被施加到由聚碳酸酯(poly-carbonate)或丙烯酸(acrylic)制成的光盘片。在紫外线激光束击中的部分产生烧蚀。烧蚀产生击中部位的蚀痕,从而在盘上形成一个凹坑。因此紫外光束数据记录域可以在存储数据的凹坑形记录域以外的部分形成。如上所述,因为密钥数据可能在原始记录域以外的部分形成,复制数据自然就不可能。另外,聚碳酸酯用于吸收波长在290nm以下的射线。丙烯酸用于吸收波长在350nm以下的射线。波长在190nm以下的紫外光束被空气吸收。根据这些特性,为了通过光束分解(decomposing)光盘的盘片,波长在190-370nm的紫外光束较合适。
在前述实例中,全部密钥数据不必都记录在光盘上。如,可以只记录一部分密钥数据而余下部分从外部输入单元输入。下一步,在一对记录格式中包括作为一种记录格式的凹坑和用高输出的激光刻在盘上作为另一种格式。在这一对格式里,加密数据被记录在凹坑形记录域,而由字母数字混合码(称用SID码)组成的密钥数据通过高输出激光照射光盘被刻在光盘的内圈部分。如果不允许被光拾取装置读出的数据被用作为密钥,字母数字混合码的密钥数据可通过外部输入单元如键盘被送入光盘再现设备,光盘再现设备根据从外部输入单元输入的密钥数据解除密码。在上述情况下,即使记录在凹坑形记录域的数据被再现,但任何原始数据也不可能被再现,除非从外部输入单元输入字母数字码组成的密钥。
在光盘D包含前述第一和第二记录层L1和L2作为两种记录格式的记录域的情况下,如图5所示,数据被交替地记录在第一和第二记录层L1和L2以防非法复制数据。也就是说,在图5的记录方式下,如果原盘的盗版通过剥掉第一记录层L1上的保护层,而暴露第一记录层来进行的话,记录在第二记录层L2的数据就完全不可能再现。因此记录在光盘上的数据是不允许被再现的。这意味着原盘的盗版不容易被制造。被交替地记录在第一和第二记录层L1和L2的数据可以每一字节或大于一字节的每几个字节的方式记录。
被交替地记录在第一和第二记录层L1和L2的数据没有必要加密。当从光盘上再现数据时,读出被交替地记录在第一和第二记录层L1和L2的数据并把被交替地记录在第一和第二记录层L1和L2的数据彼此组合成为原始数据。光盘是否用图5所示的记录格式取决于记录在第一层L1的TOC域的信息,此信息显示了如图5所示的并与第一实施例同样的方式的记录格式的使用。当从光盘上再现数据时,要根据记录在TOC域的信息才能读出记录在第一和第二记录层L1和L2的数据。然后,记录在第一和第二记录层L1和L7的数据彼此结合成原始数据。
根据现有光拾取装置的功能,想交替地从第一第二层L1和L2再现数据是十分困难的。实际上再现操作是需要读出预定了长度(如一扇区)的第一记录层L1的一段数据,并将其存储在存储器中,再读出预定了长度(如一扇区)的第二记录层L2的一段数据,并存储在存储器中,然后交替读出存储在这些存储器的数据,并把这些数据段彼此合成为原始数据。
加密数据和密钥数据的结合方式在每一文件如程序数据中被定义。但在这些情况下,有必要记录每个文件的标识信息。在每个文件中这两种数据结合的差异可加强对原始数据再现的防范。
下一步将对包括在前述参考图6的实施例中的光盘D再现设备进行说明。
首先,对在光盘D记录加密数据和密钥数据的情况下的实现操作进行说明。下面的基本操作与图3的流程图一样。
如图6所示,数字17代表光拾取装置。光拾取装置17的作用是聚焦激光光束于光盘D上、接受反射激光束、读取记录在光盘D上的数据信号、然后发送数据信号给解码电路15。另外,光拾取装置17发送产生于反射激光束的一个距焦伺服误差信号和一个跟踪误差信号到伺服电路14。
在控制器CPU 10的控制下,伺服电路14产生距焦伺服误差信号、距焦伺服信号和跟踪误差信号,后两者对应于跟踪误差信号。然后这些信号被传送到光拾取装置17。伺服电路14还为光盘D产生旋转跟踪信号。马达18由旋转伺服信号控制。记录在第一层L1的加密数据和记录在第二层的密钥数据都可通过改变光拾取装置上的焦距从光盘上读出。
另一方面,解码电路15进行解码并纠正从光拾取装置17发送的数据信号的错误。
从光盘D上读出并被解码电路15解码的密钥数据,存储在由控制器CPU10控制的工作RAM 12上。控制器CPU 10根据存储在RAM 12的密钥数据对从光盘D上读出的,并在解码电路15上解码的加密数据进行解码。控制器CPU10需要的程序数据被存储在程序ROM 13内。
经上述过程解码的原始数据通过接口电路16和输出端11被输出。另一方面,如果数据被记录在光盘D的两个记录域,则可以执行下列操作。
光拾取装置17从每个记录域分别读出记录在光盘D的两个记录域的数据。从两个记录域分别读出的数据经解码电路15解码,然后存储在由控制器CPU 10控制的工作RAM 12上;即一段被预设了长度的并记录在第一层L1的数据被读出;读出的数据经解码电路15解码后,存储在工作RAM 12上。然后通过改变光拾取装置上的焦距,其它被预设了长度的并记录在第二层L2的数据片段被读出,读出的数据经解码电路15解码后,也存储在工作RAM 12上。控制器CPU 10读出存储在工作RAM 17上的数据,然后控制器CPU 10把它们彼此组合。此合成数据即是存储数据。

Claims (6)

1、一种用于记录数据的介质,它包括:
对应至少两个记录格式的工作域,其中一个工作域记录加密数据,另一个工作域记录至少一部分用于解开加密数据的密钥数据。
2、一种用于记录数据的介质,它包括:
至少两个记录层,其中一个记录层用于记录加密数据,另一个记录层记录至少一部分用于解开加密数据的密钥数据。
3、根据权利要求2所述的用于记录数据的介质,其中,所述的一个记录层有一个在记录数据时与其它记录层无关的记录域。
4、一种用于记录数据的介质,它包括:
对应于至少两个记录格式的工作域,所记录的数据扩展到至少两个所述记录域。
5、一种用于记录数据的介质,它包括:
至少两个记录层,所记录的数据扩展到至少两个所述记录层。
6、根据权利要求5所述的用于记录数据的介质,其中,一个记录层有一个记录数据时与其它记录层无关的记录域。
