Abstract

Description
ABS模塑组合物大量用作生产各种模制品的热塑性树脂已有多年,这些树脂的性能谱从相对较脆到非常有韧性变化。
ABS模塑组合物的特定应用领域是注塑法生产模制品(如,外壳,玩具,车辆部件),此时,聚合物材料的很好的流动性是非常重要。另外,这种方法生产的模制品通常具有良好的缺口冲击强度。
有这样的目标存在:在给定的橡胶含量,给定橡胶粒度和给定的基质树脂分子量下获得最大可能的韧度值,同时保持良好的热塑流动性。这里应尽可能地不依赖于所用基质树脂的类型来得到高的韧度值,尤其当使用典型的ABS苯乙烯/丙烯腈共聚物和α-甲基苯乙烯/丙烯腈共聚物时。
在给定的橡胶含量,给定橡胶粒度和给定的基质分子量下提高ABS聚合物韧性的一种可能是添加特殊的硅油化合物(见EP-A6521),但是,可能会出现一些缺点,如差的可涂漆性、没有足够的可印性或受损的屈服应力值(有白色裂纹的危险)。添加少量EPDM橡胶(见EP-A412370)或AES聚合物(见EP-A412371)也已有公开。但是,这两种方法都需要使用相当量的较贵的添加剂组分。
现在发现,使用特殊的添加剂混合物可以获得具有缺口冲击强度(在室温和低温下)和热塑性加工性能两方面优异结合的ABS产品。

或多种热塑性均聚物、共聚物或三元共聚物;B)5-95wt.%,优选20-90wt.%,特别优选25-80wt.%的由B.1)接枝到B.2)上所获得的一种或多种接枝聚合物:B.1)5-90重量份,优选20-80重量份,特别优选25-60重量份
苯乙烯、甲基苯乙烯,核上取代的苯乙烯,甲基丙烯酸甲酯,

其中,化合物(I)-(IV)中每一种化合物优选含有至少一个末端脂肪族C6-C32烃基。
对本发明适用的热塑性聚合物A)是苯乙烯、α-甲基苯乙烯,对甲基苯乙烯、乙烯基甲苯、卤代苯乙烯、丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯,丙烯腈,马来酸酐,N-取代马来酰亚胺或其混合物的那些聚合物。
聚合物A)是树脂、热塑性和无橡胶的。特别优选的聚合物A)为苯乙烯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯、苯乙烯/丙烯腈混合物,苯乙烯/丙烯腈/甲基丙烯酸甲酯混合物,苯乙烯/甲基丙烯酸甲酯混合物,丙烯腈/甲基丙烯酸甲酯混合物,α-甲基苯乙烯/丙烯腈混合物,苯乙烯/α-甲基苯乙烯/丙烯腈混合物,α-甲基苯乙烯/甲基丙烯酸甲酯/丙烯腈混合物,苯乙烯/α-甲基苯乙烯/甲基丙烯酸甲酯混合物,苯乙烯/α-甲基苯乙烯/甲基丙烯酸甲酯/丙烯腈混合物,苯乙烯/马来酸酐混合物,甲基丙烯酸甲酯/马来酸酐混合物、苯乙烯/甲基丙烯酸甲酯/马来酸酐混合物的那些聚合物。
聚合物A)是已公知,可以通过自由基聚合,尤其通过乳液聚合、悬浮聚合、溶液聚合或本体聚合来制备。优选地,其分子量
Mw为20000-200000或特性粘度(Grenzviskositten)[η]为20-110ml/g(25℃下在二甲基甲酰胺中测定)。
适于制备接枝聚合物B)的橡胶尤其是聚丁二烯,丁二烯/苯乙烯共聚物,丁二烯/丙烯腈共聚物,聚异戊二烯或以丙烯酸C1-C8烷基酯、特别是丙烯酸的乙基、丁基或乙基己基酯为基础的丙烯酸烷基酯橡胶。
丙烯酸酯橡胶可任选地包含至多30wt.%(以橡胶重量为基础)的共聚合单体,如乙酸乙烯酯、丙烯腈、苯乙烯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯和/或乙烯基醚。丙烯酸酯橡胶也可包含少量,优选至多5wt.%(以橡胶重量为基础)已聚合进去的具有交联作用的烯属不饱和单体。交联剂例如是亚烷基二醇的二丙烯酸酯和二甲基丙烯酸酯,聚酯的二丙烯酸酯和二甲基丙烯酸酯,二乙烯基苯,三乙烯基苯,三烯丙基氰脲酸酯,烯丙基的丙烯酸酯和甲基丙烯酸酯,丁二烯和异戊二烯。接枝基体也可以是具有核/壳结构的丙烯酸酯橡胶,核是一种或多种共轭二烯的交联的二烯橡胶如聚丁二烯,或共轭二烯与烯属不饱和单体如苯乙烯和/或丙烯腈的共聚物。
用于制备接枝聚合物B)的优选橡胶是二烯橡胶和丙烯酸烷基酯橡胶。
橡胶以平均粒径(d50)为0.05-20.0μm,优选为0.1-2.0μm,特别优选为0.1-0.8μm的至少部分地交联的颗粒形式存在于接枝聚合物B)中。平均粒径d50用W.Scholtan等人,Kolloid-Z.u.Z.Polymere250(1972),782-796的方法通过超离心测量法测定。
聚合物B)可以通过在被接枝的橡胶B.2)存在下的单体B.1)的自由基接枝聚合反应来制备。
接枝聚合物B)的优选制备方法是乳液聚合、溶液聚合、本体聚合或悬浮聚合和这些本来已知的方法的结合。特别优选的接枝聚合物B)是ABS聚合物。
尤为优选的聚合物B)是在主要由二烯单体构成,平均粒径(d50)为100-450nm的橡胶(优选为聚丁二烯)存在下,非常特别优选在主要由二烯单体构成并具有a)平均粒径(d50)为150-300nm和b)平均粒径(d50)为350-450nm,按重量比(a)∶(b)=10∶90-90∶10,优选30∶70-60∶40的两种橡胶(优选为聚丁二烯)存在下,通过苯乙烯和丙烯腈(优选按重量比10∶1-1∶1,特别优选重量比为5∶1-2∶1)的混合物进行自由基聚合而得到的产物。
聚合物B)的橡胶含量优选为40-95wt.%,特别优选50-90wt.%,尤为优选55-85wt.%。
添加剂混合物C)的适合的各种组分例如是:组分I):硬脂酸镁、硬脂酸钙、硬脂酸锌、褐煤酸镁、褐煤酸钙、褐

优选地,所有组分I)、II)、III)和IV)的分子量都高于300,优选高于400,特别优选高于500。
根据本发明,选自组分I)、II)、III)和IV)中的至少3种组分的用量比优选经过选择后应满足下面的关系:(I)≤(IV)<(II)≤(III),或(I)≤(IV)<(III)≤(II)。
特别优选的混合物由下面成分组成:
15-65wt.%接枝聚合物,其中有25-60重量份的苯乙烯,α-甲基苯乙烯,丙烯腈,N-苯基马来酰亚胺或它们的混合物接枝在75-40重量份的聚丁二烯上,
85-35wt.%的由5-40重量份丙烯腈和95-60重量份苯乙烯,α-甲基苯乙烯,N-苯基马来酰亚胺或它们的混合物形成的热塑性共聚物,和
每100重量份A+B,1-5重量份的选自以下的至少3种组分的结合物:I) 硬脂酸镁,II)硬脂酸甘油酯或四硬脂酸季戊四醇酯,III)乙二胺-双硬脂酰胺,和IV)石蜡油或低分子量苯乙烯/丙烯腈共聚物。
包含A)、B)和C)以及任选的普通添加剂如加工助剂、稳定剂、颜料、抗静电剂、填料的本发明混合物可通过在室温或较高温度下按已知的方法将各组分同时或依次混合,然后在普通设备如密闭式捏和机、挤出机或双螺杆挤出机中在150-300℃的温度下使混合物进行熔融混合或熔融挤出而制得。
本发明的模塑组合物可以用于生产任何类型的成型制品,可以使用一般的生产方法,尤其可以使用注塑法生产成型制品。
加工本发明的模塑组合物的另一种方式是对预先采用已知方法制造的片材或薄膜进行深冲(Tiefziehen)成型来生产成型制品。
实施例热塑性树脂A1无规苯乙烯/丙烯腈=72∶28共聚物,GPC(凝胶渗透色谱法)测定的
Mw为约85000。热塑性树脂A2无规α-甲基苯乙烯/丙烯腈=72∶28共聚物,GPC法测定的
Mw为约75000。接枝聚合物B1
将42wt.%的苯乙烯/丙烯腈混合物(重量比73∶27)乳液聚合到58wt.%的得自具有a)平均粒径(d50)为290nm和b)平均粒径(d50)为420nm的两种粒状聚丁二烯的1∶1的混合物(重量比)上而得到接枝产物。后处理是用硫酸镁进行胶乳凝聚,水洗,随后真空干燥。接枝聚合物B2
将50wt.%苯乙烯/丙烯腈混合物(重量比73∶27)乳液聚合到50wt.%的平均粒径(d50)为130nm的粒状聚丁二烯上而得到接枝产物。后处理如B1。添加剂CI1:硬脂酸镁

(Henkel,Düsseldorf,Deutschland)添加剂CIV1:石蜡油(Ondina G34)
(Deutsche Shell AG,Hamburg)添加剂CIV2:低分子量苯乙烯/丙烯腈共聚物(
Mw≈4200,GPC测定),
由63.9重量份苯乙烯,23.6重量份丙烯腈和12.5重量份叔十二
烷基硫醇的混合物通过自由基乳液聚合制得。
各组分按表1标明的重量含量在1.3l密闭捏和机中于160-200℃的温度下进行配混。在240℃下用注塑机生产成型制品。
缺口冲击强度是根据ISO180/1A(单位:kJ/m2)在室温(ak RT)下和在-30℃(ak -30℃)下测定的,热塑性流动性是根据DIN 53 735 U(单位:cm3/10min)通过测量熔体流动指数(MVR)来评价。
从表1也可以看出,只有当使用本发明的混合物时才能获得在高韧性和良好热塑性加工性能两方面的优异结合。表1:模塑组合物的组成和试验数据

Claims (13)
1.热塑性模塑组合物,含有:
A)5-95wt.%的由苯乙烯,α-甲基苯乙烯,核上取代的苯乙烯,甲基丙烯酸甲酯,丙烯腈,甲基丙烯腈,马来酸酐,N-取代马来酰亚胺或其混合物形成的一种或多种热塑性均聚物、共聚物或三元共聚物;
B)5-95wt.%的由B.1)接枝到B.2)上所获得的一种或多种接枝聚合物:
B.1)5-90重量份的苯乙烯、甲基苯乙烯,核上取代的苯乙烯,甲基丙烯酸甲酯,丙烯腈,甲基丙烯腈,马来酸酐,N-取代马来酰亚胺或其混合物,
B.2)95-10重量份的至少一种玻璃化转变温度≤10℃的橡胶,和
M=金属,和
2.根据权利要求1的热塑性模塑组合物,其中化合物(I)-(IV)中每一化合物含有至少一个末端C6-C32烃基。
3.根据权利要求1或2的热塑性模塑组合物,其中化合物(I)选自硬脂酸镁、硬脂酸钙、硬脂酸锌、褐煤酸镁、褐煤酸钙、褐煤酸锌、山萮酸镁、山萮酸钙、山萮酸锌、油酸镁、油酸钙、油酸锌。
4.根据权利要求1或2的热塑性模塑组合物,其中化合物(II)选自三硬脂酸甘油酯、三油酸甘油酯、三山萮酸甘油酯、三褐煤酸甘油酯、硬脂酸十八烷基酯、油酸十八烷基酯、山萮酸十八烷基酯、褐煤酸十八烷基酯、硬脂酸油酯、油酸油酯、山萮酸油酯、褐煤酸油酯、硬脂酸二十二烷基酯、油酸二十二烷基酯、山萮酸二十二烷基酯、褐煤酸二十二烷基酯、硬脂酸辛酯、硬脂酸异辛酯、硬脂酸十二烷基酯、油酸十二烷基酯、一硬脂酸甘油酯、二硬脂酸甘油酯、一油酸甘油酯、二油酸甘油酯、四硬脂酸季戊四醇酯、四油酸季戊四醇酯、四山萮酸季戊四醇酯、四褐煤酸季戊四醇酯、三硬脂酸季戊四醇酯、三油酸季戊四醇酯、三山萮酸季戊四醇酯、三褐煤酸季戊四醇酯、二硬脂酸季戊四醇酯、二油酸季戊四醇酯、二山萮酸季戊四醇酯、二褐煤酸季戊四醇酯、一硬脂酸季戊四醇酯、一油酸季戊四醇酯、一山萮酸季戊四醇酯和一褐煤酸季戊四醇酯。
5.根据权利要求1或2的热塑性模塑组合物,其中化合物III)选自乙二胺-双硬脂酰胺,芥酰胺,油酰胺,硬脂酰胺,山萮酰胺,和褐煤酰胺。
6.根据权利要求1或2的热塑性模塑组合物,其中化合物IV)选自石蜡油,烃蜡,使用C8-C18烷基硫醇作为分子量调节剂制备的、平均分子量(
Mw)在2000-15000之间的聚苯乙烯,使用C8-C18烷基硫醇作为分子量调节剂制备、平均分子量(
Mw)在2000-15000之间的苯乙烯/丙烯腈共聚物,使用C8-C18烷基硫醇作为分子量调节剂制备、平均分子量(
Mw)在2000-15000之间的α-甲基苯乙烯/丙烯腈共聚物,使用C8-C18烷基硫醇作为分子量调节剂制备、平均分子量(
Mw)在2000-15000之间的聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯,C6-C32链烷醇,以及C6-C32链烯醇。
7.根据前述权利要求中一项或多项的热塑性模塑组合物,其中化合物(I)-(IV)选自:化合物(I):硬脂酸镁和硬脂酸钙化合物(II):硬脂酸甘油酯、硬脂酸十八烷基酯和四硬脂酸季戊四醇酯,化合物(III):乙二胺-双硬脂酰胺和芥酰胺化合物(IV):石蜡油,低分子量苯乙烯/丙烯腈共聚物和α-甲基苯乙烯/丙烯腈共聚物。
8.根据前述权利要求中一项或多项的热塑性模塑组合物,其中从(I)、(II)、(III)和(IV)中选择的至少3种组分的量的比率具有以下关系:(I)≤(IV)<(II)≤(III)或(I)≤(IV)<(III)≤(II)。
9.根据前述权利要求中一项或多项的热塑性模塑组合物,其中包括1-5重量份C)/100重量份A+B。
10.根据前述权利要求中一项或多项的热塑性模塑组合物,其中组分B.2选自二烯橡胶和丙烯酸烷基酯橡胶。
11.根据前述权利要求中一项或多项的热塑性模塑组合物,包括加工助剂,稳定剂,颜料,抗静电剂和/或填料。
12.根据前述权利要求中一项或多项的模塑组合物用于生产成型制品的用途。
13.可从根据前述权利要求中一项或多项的热塑性模塑组合物获得的成型制品。
