转印标签
本发明涉及一种转印标签,其以图案转印系统为基础,更具体地说以不透明的转印标签为基础,并且可以将其涂敷到基体表面上的现有永久印刷图案上。
经常需要将标签涂敷到已经在其上具有永久印刷图案的表面上,例如丝网印刷的表面,其上的永久印刷图案不能在对表面没有破坏性处理的情况下被除去。当用于容器,例如啤酒瓶或其它物品用的塑料包装箱时,即用于不同商标或推销项目的情况下,对转印标签的需要将增加。
已提出将不透明纸或塑料标签胶合到现有印刷图案上面并已用于实践。
最近,注意力都集中在通过图案转印将标签涂敷到表面上。图案转印被定义为将仅用油墨的反向印刷图案从背层材料转印到接收表面,例如瓶子或包装箱表面的方法。
就将标签涂敷到现有永久印刷图案而言,需要使用这种图案转印系统。然而,这具有如下问题:常规仅用油墨的标签(图案转印)通常不能提供足够的不透明度来将待涂敷标签的物品的现有印刷图案和颜色完全覆盖和掩盖。在以二氧化钛、氧化锌和/或碳酸钙颜料为基础的转印标签中包含常规白色层,可以导致标签印刷到背层上以及标签材料可转移到基体表面的问题。经常必需使用两层以上的白色油墨,以提供足够的不透明度掩盖基体物品的现有印刷图案和/或颜色。

已发现将相当少量的铝粉加入至少一着色层可以获得足够隐藏现有底层印刷和/或防止背景颜色渗出的不透明度。铝粉的量可以很低,不高于5重量%,优选0.1-1.5重量%。
铝粉可以直接使用,或者可以加入到合适基质材料如脂肪衍生物,包括但不限于脂和油、脂肪酸、脂肪酸酯等中。
就着色层的印刷性能而言,优选使用粒径为1-100μm,优选5-50μm的铝粉。
                      发明详述
本发明的标签材料可以含有各种层,主要的是可剥离的背层、至少一图案层、不透明层和粘合剂层。根据标签的用途,标签的实际构造可以改变。在最简单的实施方式中标签仅由本文所述的层组成。然而一般有很多层。在一个实施方式中图案层可以由两个或多个单独层组成,每个包括不同颜色。而且可以使用多个粘合剂层和/或粘合剂层和所述不透明着色层之间的结合层。同样在图案层上面、在图案层和可剥离的背层之间可以有一保护层。
根据标签的结构,可以将其用于可剥离或永久图案的领域。尤其是就装瓶子的塑料包装箱的用途而言,可以有益地使用可剥离的标签,更具体地说提供推销活动用的临时标签,或者标明内容物的商标,它们可以根据市场需求的变化而变化。
不同的标签结构可以在本文后面引证的文献中找到,将所述结构通过引用加入本文。
在本发明上下文中,术语图案转印用于定义标签系统,其中可剥离的背层用合适的油墨反向打印,接着用粘合剂套印。图案转印技术中重要的是一旦图案转移到表面,缺乏透明或不透明的图案支持载体膜。在此期间,图案(标签)仅由粘合剂、油墨材料、任选的澄清保护涂层组成。这种技术的常规内容例如公开在WO-A 9005088和WO-A 9005353。图案转印系统的其它实施方式公开在WO-A9734810、WO-A 0735292、WO-A 9735291和WO-A 9735290,将所有这6个申请的内容通过引用加入本文。
在本发明上下文中,还可以使用其它类型的非标签外观材料,例如具有加入到标签中的支持膜层的透明或半透明标签。
首先参照附图描述本发明标签和涂敷的优选实施方式,附图显示了基体表面(1)和用于涂敷的标签。标签打印在载体膜(10)上,载体膜(10)可以为任意薄膜,优选为定向聚丙烯或聚酯。(14)是一保护涂层,根据最终标签的性能和用途,可以使用也可以不使用该保护涂层。(12)是一剥离材料,它涂布在载体膜上,以便提供已知的低剥离力机械分离。它可以是膜加工之后通常涂敷到膜上的聚硅氧烷。(20)代表所有印刷的油墨材料,它可以是永久的或可剥离的,这取决于所需特性。

可以有许多选择加热基体表面。对流热空气、氧化焰加热器、燃气红外线板和电陶瓷板都可以使用。
将印刷油墨材料从载体膜转印到基体表面的标签涂敷方法,利用粘合剂的触觉特性克服了油墨层14与剥离涂层12的粘合。
可以将许多类型的聚硅氧烷涂布聚合物膜用于印刷载体膜。
可以将本发明用于标签操作的不同系统,包括,但不限于卷-卷系统和杂志进料系统。
在卷-卷系统中,可以使用常规卷筒纸操作技术来提升膜而呈现下一个标签,并将其准确放置,利用一个打印的“I”标记触发光学扫描设备。
涂敷保护涂层,例如水基丙烯酸蜡乳液,可以防止图案因偶然操作的刮擦以及经过室外贮藏时保证其耐气候性。这可以通过辊涂机设备涂敷,为了控制涂敷量所述设备通过刮刀涂敷涂布材料。涂层良好地延伸通过标签图案边缘并密封边缘以防止水分侵入。还可以具有预印在转印标签上的保护涂层。
本发明的要点在于在图案层和粘合剂层之间使用一着色层。所述着色层,优选不透明,至少由作为粘合剂的油墨树脂、白色颜料和铝粉组成,所述白色颜料经常是二氧化钛、氧化锌和/或碳酸钙。以着色层重量为基础计算,所述铝粉的存在量为至少0.1重量%,尤其是0.2-5重量%。

                   实施例
按照以下层的顺序通过轮转凹板印刷,在OPP硅化膜上制备2个转印标签:
1.保护层,含有透明丙烯酸油墨
2.一个或多个(高达8个)油墨图案层,含有合适的着色油墨或染料
3.第一层,在丙烯酸粘合剂中含有白色颜料
4.2个不同的第二层,在丙烯酸粘合剂中含有2个不同的白色颜料组合物(一个为对照;一个为本发明的)
5.粘合层,使白色层和粘合剂粘合
6.可热活化的粘合剂层
然后将这2个标签转印到具有现有的丝网印刷图案的塑料瓶包装盒表面上。
在第一个实施例中两个白色层含有4g/m2白色颜料TiO2。既使使用大量的颜料,通过标签图案仍然能够肉眼注意到现有的丝网印刷。根据印刷品的破坏和转印特性,不可能增加颜料量。
在第二个实施例中,加入以所述层的重量为基础0.6重量%的粒径为15μm的铝粉。标签完全不透明,通过标签图案肉眼看不到原有印刷图案。印刷和涂敷特性良好。

Claims (6)

1.图案转印用的转印标签材料,含有背层载体材料和转印层,所述转印层至少含有一图案层、粘合剂层和粘合剂层与图案层之间的着色层,所述着色层含有粘合剂材料、至少一种颜料和以着色层干重为基础计算至少0.1重量%的铝粉。
2.如权利要求1的转印标签材料,其中所述着色层是不透明的。
3.如权利要求1或2的转印标签材料,其中所述转印层在背层载体材料和图案层之间还含有边界层。
4.如权利要求1-3的转印标签材料,其中所述铝粉的粒径为1-100μm,优选5-50μm。
5.如权利要求1-4的转印标签材料,其中所述着色层含有水基油墨作为粘合剂材料。
6.成型物体,具有至少一个表面,被提供有从权利要求1-5任一的转印标签材料转印的至少一个标签。
