但是,由于这种摩擦件的耐热性等摩擦磨耗特性不充分,同时石棉具有致癌性等环境卫生方面的问题,所以迫切要求开发其替代品。
针对这种要求,提出了以钛酸钾纤维为基体纤维或摩擦调节剂的摩擦件。这种摩擦件具有下述优良特征,钛酸钾纤维没有石棉那样的致癌性,耐热性好,有利于防止老化现象和提高摩擦特性的热稳定性。
但是现状是,即使配合有钛酸钾纤维的摩擦件也难于充分解决高温时磨耗及摩擦系数降低的问题。
另外,由于钛酸钾纤维具有纤维的形状,膨松度高、流动性差,在制造时会附着供给通路的壁上将其堵塞。
而且由于钛酸钾纤维为纤维状粉末,故容易产生粉尘,从而使操作环境恶化。
发明的概述
本发明是鉴于上述现有问题而开发的,其目的在于提供一种摩擦件,这种摩擦件即使在高温时摩擦磨耗特性也很好,而且生产效率高、操作性能好。
本发明的摩擦件的特征在于,作为摩擦调节剂配合有鳞片状一水软铝石(Boehmite)。
本发明使用的鳞片状(例如:薄片状、板状)一水软铝石为以AlO(OH)为主要成分的层状化合物,天然状态下作为含有硅、钛、铁、镁、钙等的鳞片状的铝氢氧化矿物广泛分布于铝土矿中,由叶蜡石或高岭土矿藏中产出。
将氢氧化铝、水及碱土类金属化合物(氢氧化物或乙酸溶液等)在10-100气压的压力、150-300℃的反应温度下进行水热反应,之后,根据需要在150-1400℃的温度下进行热处理而合成的含钡的氧化铝、含锶的氧化铝、含镁的氧化铝、含钙的氧化铝、含镁钙的氧化铝、钡六铝酸盐、锶六铝酸盐、钙六铝酸盐、镁钙六铝酸盐等人造物也可以优选用于本发明的鳞片状一水软铝石。
这些鳞片状一水软铝石具有以下特征。
(1)晶体结构属于斜方晶系,具有层状结构的层间化合物。
(2)通常具有六方板状或菱型的形状,长径为0.1μm、短径(厚度)0.01-0.3μm左右。
(3)莫氏硬度为3.5-4.0(旧莫氏硬度),用于摩擦件时对配合材料的破坏性(磨粉性)小。
(4)与水的反应性小,也几乎不溶于酸、碱。
一水软铝石所具有的上述特征,作为摩擦件极其有利。
由上述结构构成的摩擦件从低温至高温,在很宽的温度范围内,具有稳定而优良的摩擦系数和耐磨耗性。因此,在作为机动车、铁道车辆、飞机、各种产业用设备等使用的制动件用材料,例如:离合器摩擦片用材料及制动衬带或制动垫片等制动器用材料使用时,可提高制动功能,实现稳定化,同时,可得到延长使用寿命的效果。
本发明的所述摩擦件的上述鳞片状一水软铝石的配合量可为3~50重量%。通过将配合量设定在3重量%以上可充分实现改善摩擦特性的效果。而超过50重量%配合则无益。
本发明的上述摩擦件的上述鳞片状一水软铝石可为含有碱土类金属的氧化铝或碱土类金属六铝酸盐。
本发明的摩擦件可例示由基体纤维、摩擦调节剂及粘合剂构成的摩擦件,该摩擦件中各成分的配合比例可例示如下:基体纤维1~60重量份,摩擦调节剂含鳞片状一水软铝石20~80重量份,粘合剂10~40重量份,其他成分0~60重量份。
作为基体纤维可举出例如:芳族聚酰胺纤维等树脂纤维、钢纤维和黄铜纤维等金属纤维、碳纤维、玻璃纤维、陶瓷纤维、褐块石棉、木质纸浆等。这些基体纤维为了提高其分散性及其和粘合剂的紧密结合性,可以由氨基硅烷类、环氧硅烷类或乙烯硅烷类等硅烷类偶合剂,钛酸盐类偶合剂或磷酸酯等进行表面处理后使用。
作为摩擦调节剂,除使用一水软铝石之外,在不损坏本发明的效果的范围内可一起使用其他摩擦调节剂。
可以举出例如有:加硫或不加硫的天然和合成橡胶粉末、槚如树脂粉末、树脂粉末、橡胶粉末等有机物粉末,碳黑、石墨粉末、二硫化钼、硫酸钡、碳酸钙、粘土、云母、滑石、硅藻土、叶蛇纹石、海泡石、蒙脱石、沸石、三钛酸钠、五钛酸钠、六钛酸钾、八钛酸钾等的无机物粉末,铜、铝、锌、铁等金属粉末,氧化铝、二氧化硅、氧化铬、氧化钛、氧化铁等氧化物粉末等。所述的钛酸钠、钛酸钾(特别是六钛酸钾及八钛酸钾)可以合用粒状、板状的物质。优选粒状物平均粒子直径为3-10μm、板状物平均厚度为0.05-1μm、平均长宽比为3-1000的物质。
在将这些钛酸钠或钛酸钾和鳞片状一水软铝石合用时,优选鳞片状一水软铝石和钛酸钠或钛酸钾的重量比为1∶9-8∶2左右。
在所述的组合中,可以提供具有高摩擦磨耗特性的摩擦件。
作为粘合件可以列举有:酚醛树脂、甲醛树脂、三聚氰胺树脂、环氧树脂、丙烯酸类树脂、芳香族聚酯树脂、脲醛树脂等热固性树脂,天然橡胶、丁腈树脂、丁二烯橡胶、丁苯橡胶、氯丁橡胶、聚异戊二烯橡胶、丙烯酸酯类橡胶、高苯乙烯橡胶、苯乙烯戊二烯共聚物等弹性体,聚酰胺树脂、聚苯硫醚树脂、聚醚树脂、聚酰亚胺树脂、聚醚醚酮树脂、热塑性液晶聚酯树脂等热塑性树脂等有机物粘合剂及二氧化铝溶胶、二氧化硅溶胶、硅树脂等无机物粘合剂。
在本发明的摩擦件中除所述各成分之外,根据需要也可以配合防锈剂、润滑剂、研削剂等成分。
本发明的摩擦件的制造方法没有特别限制,可以利用已知公知的摩擦件的制造方法进行制造。
作为一个例子可以举出如下的方法:将基材纤维分散于粘合剂中,加入摩擦调节剂及根据需要配合的其他的成分进行配合,调节摩擦件组成物,然后将该组成物注入模具中,加热加压而粘结成形。
另外作为另一例可以举出如下的方法:用双螺杆挤出机将粘合剂熔融混炼,从侧料斗加入基材纤维、摩擦调节剂及根据需要配合的其他的成分而配合,挤出成形之后机械加工到所希望的形状。
而且作为另一个例子可以举出如下的方法:将摩擦件组成物分散于水等中,抄撒在抄网上,脱水抄造成片状,之后,用压力机进行加热加压粘结成形,将得到的摩擦件进行适当地切削研磨加工做成所希望的形状。
在制造时,本发明的摩擦件由于摩擦调节剂一水软铝石为鳞片状,所以于使用纤维状的钛酸钾纤维的情况相比流动性提高,在制造时不用担心附着于供给通路的壁上而堵塞供给通路。
并且,由于为鳞片状,产生如钛酸钾的纤维粉末的粉尘少,操作环境得到了改善。

图2为显示摩擦系数和盘片温度的关系的测定图。
实施本发明的最佳方案
下面列举实施例、比较例及试验例,更详细地说明本发明。参考例
将高纯度的氢氧化铝(Al(OH3)(纯度>99%)和氢氧化锶(Sr(OH2)分散于水中浆化,使用水热合成装置在10-15气压的压力、150-200℃的反应温度下反应8小时,之后,过滤干燥该淤浆,得到长0.8-1.0μm、宽0.08-1μm、的鳞片状一水软铝石(含锶的氧化铝)。
实施例
将15重量份的钛酸钾纤维(商品名ティスモD,大冢化学株式会社制)、4重量份的芳族聚酰胺纤维(商品名ケブラ-パルプ、长3mm、东丽株式会社制)、9重量份的粘合剂(酚醛树脂)、9重量份的有机添加剂(槚如粉等)、30重量份的鳞片状一水软铝石(用参考例制造的物质)、33重量组分的其他(石墨等润滑剂、金属粉末、氧化物粉末)充分地混合添加入模具中,进行粘结成形(施加压力:150kgf/cm2、温度170℃、5分钟),成形之后,脱模进行热处理(在180℃下保持5分钟)。之后进行研磨加工得到供试体(A)。
另外,有机添加剂、润滑剂、金属粉末、氧化物粉末通常使用添加于摩擦剂中的物质。
比较例
将16重量组分的钛酸钾纤维、3重量组分的芳族聚酰胺纤维(商品名ケブラ-パルプ、长3mm、东丽株式会社制)、10重量组分的粘合剂(酚醛树脂)、9重量组分的有机添加剂(槚如粉等)、63重量组分的其他(石墨等润滑剂、金属粉末、氧化物粉末)充分地混合添加入模型中,和实施例同样地得到供试体(B)。
(摩擦磨耗试验)
从供试体(A)及供试体(B)中切下试验片,按照JIS D4411(机动车用制动衬带)规定的一定速度进行摩擦磨耗试验(盘片摩擦面:FC25灰铸铁、面压10kgf/cm2、摩擦速度:7m/秒)测定磨耗率(cm3/kg.m)及摩擦系数(μ)。测定结果显示于图1(磨耗率)和图2(摩擦系数)。
由以上结果可以看出:配合有鳞片状一水软铝石的实施例的摩擦件(由供试体(A)组成的摩擦件)与不配合有鳞片状一水软铝石的比较例例的摩擦件(由供试体(B)组成的摩擦件)比较,即使在超过350℃的温度范围,也具有摩擦系数的变化极小、摩擦阻抗的降低也相对少的改良的摩擦磨耗特性。
如上所述,本发明的摩擦件在从低温到高温区域的很宽的温度范围内具有稳定优良的摩擦系数和耐磨耗性。所以,在机动车、铁道车辆、飞机、各种产业用机器类等中使用的制动部件用材料,例如在用作离合器摩擦片用材料及制动衬带及制动垫片等的制动用材料等情况下,能够提高和稳定制动性能,同时具有改善耐用寿命的效果。并且,由于作为摩擦调节剂的一水软铝石为鳞片状,所以可以防止堵塞制造时的供给通路,产生粉尘的可能性也少,生产效率高,操作性优良。
Claims (3)
1、一种摩擦件,其特征在于,作为摩擦调节剂配合有鳞片状一水软铝石。
2、如权利要求1所述的摩擦件,所述鳞片状一水软铝石的配合量为3-50重量%。
3、如权利要求1或2所述的摩擦件,所述鳞片状一水软铝石为含有碱土类金属的氧化铝或碱土类金属六铝酸盐。
